Play 4a. They play where they should in other sports and have not ruled the area in them sports. Plus more money in 4a due to who they get to play.

There are a bunch of fairweather fans then. They have a bunch of problems and they could have solved them over the summer but they picked 3 coaches to run off and everyone knows they could have gotten rid of more. So you reep what you sow and EHS has sowed bad leaders. Pless will not and probably cannot get rid of some of his coaches because they are buddies and ha! ha! together. It is not the kids fault but when you let 16 year olds do what they want and not correcting them and/or throwing them off the team look to the adults. Do not start the small school crap because they chose to play 4a and if they played 3a you would complain about travel and bad crowds. I have figured out that it does not matter what we think and what we see. It is just a bad school system in some areas and it starts with Roper and his cronies and filters on down. I just hope someone takes over before it effects all areas.

Elizabethton returns to the scene of the worst loss in school history in 2003. For some reason I am picking Elizabethton 20-12. If East wins all the Cyclone fans need to sing Remember When because it is over.

They are 2-5. All these moral victories some on here always talk about big deal 2-5. Elizabethton had to burn a timeout Friday because #8 was beat up. You can get by with him playing all the time agaist Unicoi and Central but against good teams he will be out of gas in the 4th quarter. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Elizabethton has had two close games and lost them both. That is a fact and you get nothing from moral victories except more losses.

My only prediction right now is that Doug Fritz who writes for the JC Press and works in the Elizabethton school system HMMMMM will write if EHS wins they are going to go on a winning streak and if EHS loses then they played great but just came up short and ran out of time. Why don't he just kiss all of EHS coaches and higher ups on the mouth at 50 yardline? They are 2-5 and he writes stupid stuff in Sunday's paper. I will predict the score later. If EHS loses I think they can still get 4th place if they beat Central and Johnson County.

You will see the 3man line they are trying to copy at 3:30. On a dry field South could have ran all night and a little longer.

South was trying not to lose the whole 2nd half because of some real bad coaching but got lucky and won. South also tried to give Eliz. the game by fumbling a kickoff return and an int. that had sealed the game if the player would have just went down. South also snapped the ball with between 10 and 15 seconds left on the play clock each time in the 4th that was not to smart either. This was a first guess not a second guess but why set it up for a field goal when that has been the worst part of your team all season? Muddy field and wet ball would hurt the kicker anyway. Two shots in the endzone would have been better and I said that before it happened. Also Elizabethton needs to set #8 down on defense because he was tired and banged up the 4th quarter and if they keep him out there all the time then one of these games he will not make it thru. If that happens then they will lose the rest of their games.

Just how many teams west of Morristown has your little team beat Sonny? That would be 0 and I am talking about in the last 30 years. Of course it is the ref's fault and never because your clones just got beat and/or outcoached.

Elizabethton 41-6.

The Offensive line and Special Teams are awful and have been for the last few years. The Defense is well the Defense what more can anybody else on here say it is like spitting into the ocean. The one's that can change the Defense won't so let them get mauled. I was impressed with the drummers from the band they atleast stood up but then the band director ran them off so I am against him now. Atleast they have an easy game this week. Then 2 tough games in a row and against South and East that 3-5 will get destroyed.

I will be standing along the fence on the home side around the concession stand.

I do not know how a person in the media would cover this story. I do not know anyone in the newspaper business, so I have no one to ask. It is a mess but I hope Pless does the right thing because he is a fine person in my opinion.

It will help having just one QB because when you play two QB's it messes up everything . No more looking over your shoulder just play and let it rip. I hope the #8 does good and the new starting WR does good but I think that they are on a sinking ship because of the adults in the program and if #8 and the new WR do start to succeed they will get handicapped by play calling or benched for no reason. Is it just me or does Elizabethton copy everything UT does. Two QB's, 3-5 defense and no discipline on or off the field just a thought. If the administration or coaches start making excuses I will criticize them real bad on this board because everyone knows they could have gotten rid of more coaches than they did back in May but because this one ha ha's with the big shots or this one's family has money we will over look their action's. Like it says in the Bible "you weep what you sow" and Elizabethton has sowed bad coaching and bad leaders for the kids.

I am sorry 2 starters and a sub. If the athletic department did not take care of this and it is true that the Principal had to suspend the players then every coach and every adult involved should be fired. They have no business being teachers/coaches. To GLee remember I said they would be 0-3. When you have team problems it affects every player and usually brings the team down a level or two. If they cannot suspend players for doing something stupid then they have no leaders on the sidelines and in turn you will have no leaders on the field and that leads to a lot of losses.

Since 3 or 4 starters for Elizabethton will be out for very good reasons I will go with Greeneville 14-7. But I want to say congratulations to who ever put their foot down in that athletic department. It was something that was long over due and about time that stuff was not swept under the rug.

I promise I do not do drugs or alcohol but for some weird reason I am picking ELizabethton 13-10. If they lose this one they might as well start singing Precious Memories how they linger. As the Boss sang Glory Days they pass you by like a wink from a young girls eye. Do not know if it is the coaches, administration, players are all the above but this is a must win and a loss would mean Elizabethton is the Titanic.

I will just talk about the one's that get paid. Wagner, Jenkins, Witten and the preacher I guess are all volunteers so this does not concern them. I will not bad mouth any but the only one I might keep is Hooks. He is young and played and seems to have some fire.

I see 5-5 because they play some sorry teams from now on. No coaching change because if they do not get rid of 3 or 4 of the assistant coaches I do not care how good a coach you are you will be handicapped and lose. Pete Carroll, Bob Stoops and Bill Parcells would have losing records with the help Pless has.

I am glad people are finally seeing the light. I have said these things the past 2 years. Elizabethton has lost some real good coaches the past few years and have replaced them with below average coaches who have other things on their mind. They had a chance this past Spring to clean house but they chose instead just to make an example out of a few. That is the administration's fault but they are clown's also. Real good coaches can make average talent succeed, just like bad coaches can make good talent not succeed. I do not consider Sciece Hill a real good team so EHS cannot make the statement that they have played three great teams. Science Hill's 2 wins have come against teams whose combined record is 0-5. Some Elizabethton homers can blame the ref's and blame the schedule but if they would open their eyes they would see the problem's. Also Elizabethton has some awful fan's they get more excited over the band than they do the football team. During the 3rd Quater of the TN High game I bet 20 to 25% of the home crowd had left because you could see orange seats everywhere.

EHS is awful. The 3-5 defense is no good against the run. The only reason they play it is because Tennessee runs it and Van Huss must think he is in Knoxville. The offense is worse than awful. They have an off week and they need to blow up the offense and start all over but that would take effort from the coaches and they cannot even show up to watch film. I said last year they were not that good and people bad mouthed me and I said the same thing this year and some people still bad mouthed me but I think all the nay sayers are seeing the light. 19 points for and 64 against so I guess they will get beat 21-6 every game. Unicoi is the only sure win. East, North, Greeneville and Johnson County will be toss ups and South will run it down their throats. They should beat Central but that is no sure thing. Sad times in the whole EHS athletic department.

Morristown West is the cream of the crop in 4a upper east Tn. I see EHS maybe getting to the second round. I fell sorry for the Knoxville area teams. How the playoffs are set up they can beat all the teams in Region 1 and 2 but they get to knock each other out while an average NE TN team gets to go to the Semi- Finals. I guess the Maryville vs Knox Central quaterfinal playoff game will be for the state title again.
