Wait until everything plays out before you go crazy. Maybe you cannot be a coach and the AD and Payne chose to be a coach. Do not count Dugger out as Basketball coach until there is an announcement for the hiring of the new coach. If Weems leaves it will be because he wants to and not because who is in charge. He would be crazy to leave the team he has coming back. I predicted late last year or earlier this year that there would be a new AD. Some of you told me I was crazy and had no clue. Do not doubt Robbie because I tell the truth.

Being out of the game for five years it will be hard just to jump back into it and relive the past. If he had been coaching the Freshman or something it would be easier. Look at Snavely. Same situation but who knows it might work out. Coaching anymore is a young man's career. You have to let the players play and not hold them back. They are a lot more athletic than guys 15 years ago and some coaches still try and coach the old way. Bill Parcels is a perfect example he would rather lose his way than to take advantage of his talent and win another way. Jerry might do good but sometimes you should not return because it might hurt what you did in the past.

How many years do you think he will stay?

I do not know Dugger's stats. He coached from 82-95 I think. That was when EHS played 3a and Science Hill was awesome. He made the State tourney in 83. He got let go because of politics. He did some things wrong and he will admit that but a lot of people in that system has done things wrong. If he does not get the EHS job this time he will never get it. I hope he then goes to an area rival and beats EHS like they owe him money.

He is a nice guy. But he will not be the coach next year. If he is I will never post on this site again. That is how sure I am.

If the football coaches blamed thier "problems" on this site they are full of crap. If they would put some effort into their jobs and prepare for the next game instead of what they are having for supper then they would not go 3-7. A lot of people do not get on this site but they complain and think the same things. It is all over town and people are fed up and the attendance will suffer and then the money will go down and hurt the kids in all sports. It is a joke but hopefully in 2008 things will change. As for 2007 I will not make anyone mad so no comment.

A player fouls then gets a T how does the freethrows go. Do they shoot the T then everything goes back live on the foul freethrows or do they shoot the T then the foul freethrows and the team gets the ball also. I have seen both and do not know which is right.

If you complain yes it will hurt you more than it will help. The supervisor for the ref's will say they made the right calls and nothing will be done. A player could be fouled and the Ref's can give him 6 freethrows and the supervisor would say the Ref was right. They protect their own and never say they are wrong. Just look at the Seattle vs Pittsburg Superbowl. That is as big time Ref's as you can get and the supervisor willnot admit they made a mistake. Most Ref's do a good job but you have a few that are in the buddy system and are awful but they kiss enough butt where they get all the good games and are never told they are wrong.

If they have problem kids then that is the coaches fault. As far as the parents the problem parents are still there. All the people inside the program knows that is true. I agree that the program has not hit rock bottom yet.

Yes because HV is in the same county. I am not going to start on why they lost to Unicoi but they will lose to some more teams in the future.

I agree with the football coaches part. I only know a couple and they are nice guys in everyday life. But they cannot coach football. I have not been to any basketball games because I got so sick of watching the football team I am against the athletic department at EHS. It will be the same old thing in football and nothing will change. They are afraid of a few parents and the kids they are protecting are not the best players on the team. I bet the the attendance is down in basketball just like football and will keep going down because some in the school system just do not get it. Once you lose your fans it is real hard to get them back and you probably will never get all of them back. EHS athletics has made their bed.

That is crazy dropping Greeneville and picking up Happy Valley. All EHS can do against HV is lose because EHS should beat them everytime and if not their season is ruined. What coaches are gone?

When was the last time a team from Region 1 4a beat another 4a team from Regions 3-8? Have they ever?

When was the last time a team from Region 1 or 2 beat a team from Region 3-8? Has a region 1 team done it since Cloudland had their run 4 or 5 years ago?

Why did UH not get a T when they had 6 guys on the court? Unaka threw the ball in then Barnett stopped the game and let UH take a player out then let Unaka throw the ball back in. Unaka missed some free throws in the 4th that hurt them bad.

I guess the changes are assistants. I will not name names but I will hold out hope that a few will not be coaching in 07. I do not like Cocke County over Greeneville. The way their fan base is now they will not go to Newport to watch. Somebody on another thread said they were still playing DB. Why??? Thanks and keep me/us updated.

I know they play Johnson County in week 2 but does anyone know the rest? No changes in the coaches so there should be plenty of good seats available and somebody can have mine unless I am bored.

You need to remember that you do not start next year where you ended at this year. It is a whole new season and anything can happen.

Why did they not use him Friday?

Why did Hampton not play their backup QB all season? They blew a lot of teams out and had plenty of chances to get him some action at QB.
