  1. Hendersonville High School is looking for a few more teams to fill their 3rd annual middle school team camp for girls basketball. The camp takes place in the afternoons and evenings Monday, June 14 - Wednesday, June 16 in two air-conditioned gyms. The cost is $185 for six total games. Teams currently participating: Ellis, Walter J. Baird, Blackman, Station Camp, Sycamore, and Merrol Hyde. If interested, please contact Coach Clancy Hall at clancy.hall@sumnerschools.org.

  4. Regeina Lewis played at Hendersonville High School and then became a coach for the Lady Commandos. Regeina died from breast cancer in the early 90's. She was an incredible player that helped her team to a state tournament, an extremely influential coach, and a wonderful person.

  6. Have the offensive player that is being played man to man set on the ball screens. If they switch everything you will eventually end up with a mismatch (hopefully). If your best player is a guard, he can then drive a post defender; if your best player is a post, he can then post-up a guard. It might help if you have the player being guarded man to man become your safety and send everyone else hard to the glass. But, with everything in basketball, it really comes down to how good your players are!!
