  1. Maybe his coaches didn't put him down for all district. Ever think of that?
  2. Agreed, character does play a role. If you think Mills didn't deserved recognition then your are a complete moron. Mills made them a top 2 team. Without him they would be 5th at best. Foriest wasn't even the best pitcher on his team. (hence they didn't even pitch him in an elimination game) HMMM??? KS, you and your rants have far ran their course. Sounds like a mad parent that his/her son didn't make the all district team and he/she is mad and crying. I agree all district teams are overrated. I can think of several that didn't get it when I played sports. It happens. Bottom line is, it's a fact of life. Not everyone gets recognition all the time. Just happens. Move on and get over it. And if it doesn't mean anything to you, why do you waste your time ranting about it. You must be one bored individual. Great season to all teams. (yeah the district got swept, but at least they made it(unlike a certain blue team that i know of))
  3. So the kid that is labeled the "natural" isn't even considered the number one on his team? That doesn't look real good in my book. A freshman is ahead of him in the rotation. Makes sense for D-1 or PRO scout to come out now huh? Don't ever mention that again. Great W by Waverly, Harpeth had Karma working against them.
  4. MEMO to anyone who calls themselves a leader on this thread. LEADERS do the following: Rally on the team even when it is not pretty Get respect from every teammate RUN out EVERY ball no matter the location Play the game with ZERO smack talked to opponent So far I have made arguements against the D-1/PRO? prospect from Harpeth that can't beat double A schools in high school baseball. I don't mind anyone calling anyone a leader. But let the play of that individual set that in stone. Not only the play, everything else that goes with it. Foriest has the ULTIMATE potential to be a GREAT high school baseball player, and maybe even a college player. But there are alot of LHP's that can sling the pill with alot better attitude. All potential means is "you" haven't done it yet. Foriest needs to play the game and not let all the other stuff bother him. Good Luck to all teams in the district. If you play
  5. Well, for starters neither team OBVIOUSLY has no discipline. Nothing happended when Harpeth got high and got caught, nothing will happen to Montgomery for fighting. Nothing will happen to Foriest for being a COMPLETE cancer/turd/instigator. Each team will save discipline with running or not at all. This should be handled by suspensions. I know it would at almost every other team in this district/area. And KS, if it weren't for you mentioning little things like what Turner did then no one would have ever known about it. That is what is sad. Harpeth/Creekwood congrats on a good season. But can't say anyone respects either team for obvious reasons.
  6. Sycamore plays Harpeth at home tomorrow, which is 4/20. I think I can smell Harpeth coming already. It might ease the pain if ya'll come chief-ed out though.
  7. It's called high school sports KS. Everyone wishes they could go back to the glory days. Hey KS, it's 2009, not 2006. Yeah, you guys were good. But I am pretty sure Sycamore/Creek Wood could "hold a candle" to the apparent infamous 06 Indians.
  8. Cheatham fan, you need to stop trying to justify two run ruled games.
  9. Yeah I heard that Harpeth went to an all dirt infield recently, because the players smoked all the grass. Yeah good job Harpeth. This will bite you sooner or later.
  10. What about my beloved War Eagles!!! Beating Waverly 3-0. Pitcher showdown. Kyle Quillen v Michael Purcell. What a great game to watch as a spectator. Unbelieveable game. Words don't describe it. Sycamore proved to be the top dog tonight with that performance. Purcell looked near flawless, but Quillen prevailed. Any thoughts?
  11. In 6 I think, not real sure
  12. Sycamore 17-7 over Hunters Lane on Wednesday, they have Northeast again Friday.
  13. Sycamore 1-1 record, lost a tough one against RossView 4-2 opening day. Beat North East 7-3 lastnight. Hunters Lane for Sycamore tonight.
  14. Seeing as Sycamore doesn't have the ability to go out of state and play teams of a much higher caliber and play in televised tourneys, you can't put the blame squarely on them. For one, district schedule is a necessity and thats over half a schedule in itself. They played in all the tournaments they could and were unable to play a few games due to weather. But if Bolivar keeps looking at the paper stats then they could find themslves behind in the real life game.
  15. Isn't it funny how this game is strikingly similiar to 1985 Villanova -Georgetown. Georgetown was heavily favored especially with Ewing against the smaller and "less experienced" Villanova club. Everyone picked in favor of Georgetown then as well and look at where they ended up. I'm not calling anything just yet but just to let all the nasayers know it can be done.
