  1. No, I'm not an unhappy parent. I just listen to the kids when they come out of the dressing room after the game. My son is tough, he has to be or he wouldn't have stuck with it this long. I'm sure donald has his reasons for the way he coaches and I'm not second guessing him by any means but a pat on the back does go a long way. Some of the boys are losing heart and I'd hate to see that happen to a fantastic team. Their still a team and they'll play to win.
  2. I"ve got to agree with mountain dew. My son plays for donald and he's done a tremendous job coaching the team. But like dew said, you've got to give these boys a pat on the back occasionally. I know they make mistakes, my son is right there at the front of the line when it comes to getting his butt chewed out but you've got to give them an atta boy too. Unaka has a plethera of talent and I'd hate to see the boys get dis-heartened before tournament time. And no HV Warrior, there's no dissention among the ranger crowd. The team will still give the coaches and each other 100% and still come out to win the games. All they want is just a "good job" now and then. I'm not saying praise them when it's not needed, but If they do play well tell them. You might be surprised what a "good job" might mean to them.
  3. Some of the refs I've seen calling lately remind me a lot of moe, curly and larry. One of the refs that called Unaka's game against North Greene last night was pathetic. One of our fans said that he had TB (translated that would be two bellies). He could barely get up and down the floor. Come to think of it, he didn't. By the second quarter, I thought we were going to have to call in the paramedics and administer oxygen. The refs should be in shape, and be held accountable for their performance. Their doing a job and just like any other job, they should be rated on their ability and their performance. Just showing up in a stripped shirt does not make you a good ref. Sure their going to miss calls, but some of the refs are just too out of shape to be calling high school ball.
  4. To all Cyclone & Unaka fans, the aforementioned (hey homer, did I spell that correctly?) game will NEVER take place. Too much politics, etc. The idea was a good one but it just won't happen. And homer, if you knew Tdog, you'd know that he always has the best interest of kids in mind. Did he have a hidden agenda, I doubt it. If you didn't have your head so far up you @#&*X you'd know that several county and city agencies could use the additonal funding, whether it be the boys club or whatever. We can always count on you to post on here with a negative comment about whatever has the name Unaka in it. And also, I'm fairly sure that no one on here gives a rats tail who you are or even if you're associated with Elizabethton. Like said in the previous posts, scan the posts and if Unaka is mentioned, just click right past it. That will save everyone on this board the pain of your pathetic, negative posts.
  5. Rainmain - you're stupid. North Greene 97? hahahahahahahahah. Unaka's hot right now. I predict unaka by 25
  6. King, I do believe that you've turned over a new leaf. I think I like this new and improved you. But don't get too docile, we still need a little something to keep this board interesting. GO RANGERS
  7. King....Have you been abducted and replaced with a kinder, gentler "king". I think that's the most positive post you've made on here in a while. See, that didn't hurt so much did it? See ya in a couple of weeks!!!
  8. King, I really don't know how many he scored. It's basketball and that requires a team. It wouldn't really matter how many he scored if the other 4 hadn't been doing their job. They played great team ball, Rusty had the most complete game I've seen him play all year. The whole team looked good. Go Rangers.
  9. Way to go Rangers. Good win over Cosby. Keep up the good work. GO RANGERS
  10. Too late rainman the king already let the cat out of the bag. Ole dog's not so bad, but he does have his moments. Ya know, your name is ironic because sometimes I tell tdog that he's acting like rainman.
  11. King, you've cut me to the quick. I can't believe you called me evil (I'm probably the sweetest gal you'll ever meet). Just ask tdog. And as far as the pants goes, tdog lets me think I wear them.
  12. Oh rainmain that is soooooo scary
  13. Hey King, I don't know what you've been smokin up there on the mountain but it must be some pretty strong stuff. Your maid? Oh sorry I was laughing so that I fell off my chair. It would take an army of 20 maids to clean up all the crap that you dish out here on coach T. Don't be surprised if the Rangers don't have a little something for you when you make your debut at Unaka. I'm sure fun will be had be all!!!
  14. Hey king, have you been talking to ole Tdog again? He tells me the same thing just in different terminology but you did get the maniac part right!!!!!!
