  1. Any news of any Coaches expecting to resign? Or possibly getting fired? Or does anyone have an opinion of who they think should?
  2. Maconballmom do your really think that the coaches are the cause for the lack of success? These are the same coaches from last year and it wasn't a unsuccessful year! Do you really think you know more about the team than the coaches? Get real! You may think your child is the most talented player ever or that there are several talented members on the team and there may be but not more than what is on the teams they play. Macon Co just doesn't have the talent, end of story. No coach can produce if they don't have the talent! Just try and support and when you watch the game and see the other team that has faster runners, better passing and catching, bigger holes in the line for running plays, more time for the qb to pass, that the receivers seem to get open more and that you team seems to have trouble stopping the run or pass, there is a reason for this. Now if it happens just a few times it could be the coaching but all the time! It is the talent level. Try not to look thru predious eyes next time.
  3. Well put Big Country. I couldn't agree with your more. Hey, there is no way Dyer would swap places with Cook. I fear that many of the assistance will be gone after the mess we have had this year. Dyer, Fitz can retire, Shrum is not in good health and needs a break, several are just volunteers, Dean is a good assistance who will be offered some other positions, and Cook himself may make a decision to get out. I hope not. There is more strain on any staff when they are rebuilding than in a winning year. Good Luck to them all. Plan for next year. You may savage 2 more wins at the most, more like one, but it won't be because of the coaches if you don't. Little talent in Macon Co but a lot on the teams they play.
  4. Strongside 69, what i was trying to say is in my opinion, RBS ain't going to win a game this year and MCHS ain't going to make the playoffs! Easy enought for you!! I would like to see both team successful but in my honest opinion neither will be this year. And I guess I should do as you say and let all this **** pass and not bring it up. It does get under my crawl! I just don't think it is as bad in other places as it is in MCHS. I think it causes players to doubt their coaches and loose respect for them. One example is Kameron's remark. It is obvious that he is a player or was and feels the coaches are not playing the best players. The games I have seen and many have played in these games, i don't see much talent at all! And what little talent i do see to me seems to be the starters. So is seems Kameron has lost some respect for his coaches, why? Does he really think the coaches are not playing the best players? Won't this hurt the coaches worst than the players? Any other players out there that agrees with him? Let hear it! And you don't have to worry about me starting anything with anybody. Not the case with many but with me, this is not my only purpose in life! I do have a life and sports is merely entertainment, not an obsession!
  5. The chances of Macon making the play offs are about as good as Red Boiling winning a game. Not going to happen this year!
  6. Grunt you are correct! Clint and the whole town wouldn't put up with what is going on in Macon co. If a parent started on Clint i feel that that parent wouldn't make it to Clint, they would be stopped by somebody before it ever happened. It is a shame. I heard from several people that it is the same ole set of parents that are causing the problem. You know their kids are confused! How can they ever do any good! I don't know if it can ever stop now that it has gone this far. Some of the parents feel they can just sit in the stands and say awful things about the coach, and now, to his face. No respect. And i know there are more good parents who back and support the program. But what i cannot stand is the parent who will tell you how they support the program and then talk about the coaches like they are dogs! Some will set in the stands and complaint about everything the Coaches do and then say they support the program! Or talk about another kid on the team and expect this to help their son? The ones that are causing the problem are a sorry bunch and i hope they get what they deserve!! I wish some parent or fan like hartsville would shut them up!! This is a true example that happened last year. One of the coaches moved a player from one position to another thinking the kid would help the team and himself at this position. When the parent found out that their child wasn't going to play that position they called the coach a liar for changing the player's position. Also said he made the change only because the parents of the other kid was kissing the coach's a--. The kid still played, still started and was the best at his new position. But this didn't matter to the parents. they wanted their child to play in the key position. To be noticed, not help the team. I heard this parent jumb the coach! There are about 4 to 6 parents that are causing the problem and they are jerks that know very little about the sports and are hurting their kids much, much, much more than the coach ever could! This group of parents will never see their kids have a winning season no matter who coaches. You wait and see. I am talking about the freshmen here. You mark my word. Keep up with that group. they will never be on a winning team! If one of the good parents read this take my advice, move your kid to another team and get away from these loosers! I am sorry for Cook, it is not his fault! Even a more experienced coach would have trouble with these parents because they too would not get the support needed from the community, administration, parents, other players etc. I would love to see the other players put so much pressure on these parents that they would just make their kids quit! That is if their kids are like them. If the kids are not like the parents then it is a shame. Maybe the kid should quit to shut up the parents. Sorry i am rambling. I don't know what will work! If the team had an old fashion meeting and decided that they were going to back their coach come heck or high water or if they couldn't to quit. That would help. Then maybe the kids could ask their parents to not come to the games anymore. I know some of these parents and they are not what you call leaders of the community. They are known to cause trouble in all kinds of dealing. They are not well liked in the community because of the trouble they seem to bring with them. I just hate to see so few hurt so many! I wonder how the QB club is doing? Coach Cook's Dad is the president and many of the members are the trouble makers. One even an officers. And Cook's Dad is as nice of a guy as you will meet. But he will take up for his son and you don't want to #### him off. He is a God fearing person but don't push him! It would make my day to see him set a few of these people straight. Sorry for the rambling.
  7. Can anyone tell me this, What Would Clint Do?? I don't want to say that all coaches are right all the time. But i do feel that it seems that with Macon Co. there are a small percentage of parents who make it their job to cause a coach as much trouble as they possible can. Some feel it is in the name of their child, some in the name of the program, and some just in the name. Most of the parents are not trouble, but the ones that are, are the parents who either never played, or never got involved until their child played. Then all of a sudden they are the most knowledgable person in world when it comes to sports. And they now realize how awful the coach is. I just wish i knew what ole Clint would do? And i want to hear someone else tell me that they heard the coaches make that remark about the mother 1buck2. I find that hard to believe any of lafayette's coaches would have said that! Who else heard it? Now the sissy remark! Grow Up! I know ole coach clint has said a few words worst than that! and a few other coaches. It is really sad what is happening at lafayette. Why don't they switch coaches with RBS and MCHS! Yea, let Cook see what it is like with no pressure and let Boles see the real world! No i take that back, I am sure ole Boles is getting his share of s--t. The best thing for Cook is to leave MCHS and find a school that would respect him and support him. And what about his poor wife! You know that is the worst job in the world! A Coach's wife. She set in the stands and hears all the remarks and knows who says them. Good Luck to all. But I bet it ain't over!
  8. regit, no i am not a tiger fan. just know that rbs hasn't produced and won't produce as long as they have the same staff. they may win one game this year. that is the best they can do. i will let rbs's action speak. one win at the most. i have heard other coaches, not any one school but several, state that rbs is just a laughing stock. that they should give it up. now don't get me wrong a lot of this comes from the admistration. they should get more experienced coaches and they should get them at least 3 or 4. but i don't think the coaches there now had very much experience in any other schools as coaches. a good player doesn't necessarily make a good coach. and i heard boles was a banker before he coached? anyway he wasn't at the other school very long. all i am saying is they need to wipe the slate clean and get a new more deicated staff that knows their football. and i would think there might be a coach who would take the job. you only got one way to go!! anyway i say good luck to them. i just wish the kids had a better chance.
  9. rbs chances of winning more than one game now or while they have the same coaching staff is impossible. Look at their staff. Now have coached in a winning situation. None. Boles played under a winning coach. only one they have had. and it was only 1 year. in order for rbs to be winners they need to get experienced coaches in the system. at least 3. what should happen is to get some experienced coaches who have coached some winning seasons and let them coach. or if they don't do that just closed the program. it is no fair to the kids to not give them coaches that will give them the effort they deserve. but it may not matter. the junior high program has lost interest and their was not enought to field a team and there is no junior high program this year. it could happen to the high school next.

  11. Muffin, your are correct! i am sorry my name was that hotdog. someone who is a big lafayette fan used my computer to read post during lafayette's playoff. and i am sure they made some post. they did have my permission to use my name. sorry i had completely forgot. i never used it must. just to read. so i guess i was mistaken. but i am impressed that you do remember the post. must have been a good post! the same person tells me that lafayette lost a coach to an illness is the correct? for how long? did they loose anymore coaches?
  12. Muffin, sorry but i am not that hotdog. don't know who that one is. maybe they changed their name. i just started a few weeks back on this site. it was during RBS girls basketball. i didn't post just read. sorry but that hotdog must have been another hotdog. believe me i really don't mind lafayette so being called a lafayette man is no big deal but i just trying to say it wasn't me. but i do like lafayette. and possum, i think you got a great idea but i just wonder how much RBS 's football coach is involved. i mean 0-30 is pretty bad. a blind pig finds a nut every now and then. and from what i have been told RBS wasn't even close! on well.
  13. Muffin, i am impressed! you can remember a post i made 2 years ago!! Boy that is great!! Only trouble i never left a post 2 years ago. I haven't been on this sight but in the last few weeks. Now i will say that someone else may have posted under hotdog 2 years ago. i never said that i was the only person using Hotdog. but what was said 2 years ago? If that was when MCHS was in the playoff it may have been left in hotdog but it wasn't this hotdog. get what i mean. and guys. do you really think it is fair for these few kids to go and play in a game for 3 and soon to be 4 years for these kid to play and get beat badly by everyone they play? Now i all for football but not if there is not enough to play. maybe they could get into the 8 man football. I mean you don't loose all you games, and loose so badly! How is the junior high program? are they competitive? if so something is not right! So muffin, log this in your system for future references.

  15. Muffin, i am not a lafayette man. i said my cousin gones to school at RBS. i live closed to lafayette but no i wouldn't say i am a lafayette man. just hear a lot of talk about different teams. and wondered why RBS program is so poor. and why they just don't give it up after only 1 winning season since they have had football. or that is what i was told by a lafayette pee wee coach. is it true?
