  1. Both Unaka and Cloudland are playing great basketball right now but it's now time to find out who will advance and who will go home Unaka is one of the toughest single A teams around here when they show up to play same as Cloudland they both have great teams and great coaches its just now you have to show up to play. But i finally got a chance to view the brackets and both Unaka and Cloudland will have to play to see each other in the championship. If Unaka wins then they will play the winner of Washburn and University High and dont think for one second that University High will not want to seek revenge against Unaka if they meet in the semifinals. As for Cloudland they should have no trouble with J.Frank White but will have a tough task ahead of them if they end up playing Hancock County. But I expect an upset some time in this tournament from somebody dont know who it will be but i can feel someone is going to fall short from advancing in the regionals and will go home early...............Best of luck to all teams from region 1 (DRIVE SAFELY) Unaka-78 Jellico-53 North Greene-65 Hancock Co-68 Cloudland-73 J.Frank White-45 University High-61 Washburn-45 Semifinals.......... Unaka-63 University High-56 Cloudland-71 Hancock-66 Championship.......... Unaka-58 Cloudland-55
  2. I love the game of basketball and i have been around a while so i believe i know what a box in 1 is not (boxing1)they thought they could stick the jones kid on him the whole night and shut him down until Chambers just started scoring at will on him then they finally backed off and moved Stocton to the block but he still scored. I'm not the type to get on here and bash a player never have never will do that kind of thing but i will tell you this if the Jones kid scored 20 against whoever it may be i assure you they wasnt a top callibur team like Unaka plays you play there schedule and i assure you they maybe win 7 or 8 games if that bottom line is which ever team wins it wont be a blow out Cloudland cant stop Chambers and Unaka cant stop Tolley who ever has the best game between these 2 players will be the deciding factor on who wins and who loses. If Unaka is hitting there shots from the outside then they will be tough to beat just like Cloudland if they are hitting there outside shots and Tolley is scoring inside then Cloudland is gonna be tough to compete with in tomorrow night's game. But like i said im sticking to my prediction Unaka is to tough in the tournaments and i think they realize whats ahead of them if they win tomorrow nights game. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE TRIP DOWN Cloudland. Unaka-73 Cloudland-66
  3. Lets discuss why Cloudland wont beat Unaka away from home tomorrow night. first off lets talk about Cloudland's record 20-6 people around here arent stupid Cloudland gets on here and says we havent been beaten at home in so and so years Maybe this is because you play weak teams besides Cosby and Daniel Boone and where did you play them at my point exactly "Cloudland" if you play Cosby at there place then its a 20 point game in Cosby's favor if you play Daniel Boone away from home then its possibly a 15 to 20 game Boones favor. Cloudland beats 3 good teams thats Cosby,Unaka,Daniel Boone and where do they beat them at Cloudland the rest of your schedule is pittiful no wonder you are 20-6. Now to why Cloudland will not beat Unaka tomorrow night.Cloudland is not used to winning on the road exspecially in front of big crowds like there will be tomorrow night.Cloudland has one threat and that is the Tolley kid if his shots arent falling he tends to get discouraged and gets in foul trouble thats where Cloudland will have trouble is when he is out of the game.Cloudland doesnt like to run alot for the exception of byrd back on defense thats what Unaka loves to do is run the floor. Cloudland will have to keep Chambers from scoring at will and i dont really think they can do that unless they wanna take a chance of running a box in 1 against him like they did at Unaka and it not work. But Unaka will have a handfull of stopping Tolley also he scores at will from the block and Unaka dont have a big man who can stop him unless they get him in foul trouble early then thats when Unaka will make there run of points tomorrow night for the district championship and get the better bid going into the regionals so they can stay out of Hancocks brackett. (JUST MY PREDICTION) Unaka-73 Cloudland-66
  4. Chambers usually plays everywhere on the court campbelle loves to take the ball to the basket in a man to man defense and can pick a part about any zone he faces Very emotional type of player if his team is down he loves the chance to try to take over the game i believe he showed that when they played University High being down by 6 going into the 4th quarter and scoring 16 to 18 strait points and finishing with 35. Very emotional type player plays with alot of heart and wants the ball when the game is on the line.Really good kid on and of the court I have talked to him a couple of times and he says he has not decided where he is gonna play college ball yet wrather it be baseball or basketball he said both would be good but it would be kind of hard to play both in college so he hasnt decided on which one he would wrather do yet.Hope i helped you out enough of your information campbelle?
  5. Unaka is good enough to sweep there district and there region now who they play in substate will be up to whom ever loses out of district 2 I really dont know. All i can say is XtremeLoco you say its different when a good team come's into Unaka to play why dont you check and see who they have played away at other places Tennesee Temple,Science Hill, Mcallie,Knox Bearden,Cosby,Pickett County, I could name them all and by looking at Rockwood's Harriman's CAK and Cosby's schedule it dont even compare to Unaka's. They protect there homecourt better than any team in upper East Tennessee and if they make it to the substate no matter if they face Cosby,Rockwood,Harriman whoever you can bank on which ever team it is they will be in one heck of a dogfight because when you come to there gym not many teams come out with the (WIN)
  6. Unaka came back from being down 6 going into the 4th quarter with 5:00 to play when Rusty Chambers went on a scoring rampage to score 26 2nd half points and 16 points strait in a 5:00 stretch.I have never seen a player take over a game like he did tonight finishing up with 36 good job Unaka keep up the good play.
  7. I have heard that this in one of the roughest toughest gyms to play at in East Tennessee and Unaka is a good team so I am gonna say Unaka by 3 in a tough game dont forget Unaka had Knox Bearden down by 16 at halftime 1st game of the season.
  8. This will be part 2 of the Cosby vs Unaka the first matchup I did not get to attend the first game but I heard it was a pretty good game there for a while It's tough trying to get a win at the (EAGLES NEST)just like It's tough to get a win at Unaka's gym. But this game should be different being played at Unaka if I recall Unaka had Cosby down 14 last year at Unaka and ended up getting beat by I think 7 or 8 but you can expect to see a better basketball game between these 2 this tuesday night and im gonna say Unaka wins this contest by 10 points good luck to both teams I will be attending this one. Cosby-63 Unaka-73
  9. Seems like this years Unaka team cant seem to hold on to a lead from what I have been hearing.Where do they play at tonight?
  10. Sorry chief I had just heard from the grapevine that they was supposed to be a really good state contender team this year but I saw them last night and it appears you are right and helton is a great player by the way.
  11. Anyone wanna see 2 great games of basketball tonight come out to Freedom Hall where you will see 4 teams square off against each other in Round Ball In The Hall. 1st game of the night will be state powerhouse Mt Juliet vs Tennessee High at 6:00 Mt Juliet looking to make another run at the state tournament this year while Tennessee High just comming off a good showing at the Grand Bahamas Tourney will be looking to come out with a big win in tonight's early contest at Freedom Hall. Then for the nightcap game it will be David VS Goliath yep thats right Unaka vs Science Hill,I havent seen this matchup never before in my life but it will take place tonight AAA powerhouse vs 1A powerhouse both 2 of the best teams in East Tennessee will be looking to go at it for the 1st time in the history of RoundBall In The Hall. I'm calling this game one of the most talked about games in East Tennessee right now both two tough teams with great players and key seniors and great matchups will be one of the most talked about games in years to come noone would ever dream of these to teams playing but you will see it tonight and by golly you better belive that you will see a game on your hands come 8:00 ill be there real early hope to see a good ball game. Mt Juliet-67 Tn High-60 Unaka-63 SH-59
  12. He is a really good player Kev B I actually got to watch that game last year when Unaka played Hancock County. He has alot of heart and will do whatever it takes when it comes to winning a basketball game. When I watch him play he can take over a game just in the blink of an eye.And to be listed at 6'0 he is one of the best all around scorers in this state just by the way he can find ways to make things happen when he has the ball in his hands. But I hope to get a chance to watch him again this year its always exciting to watch Unaka play against Hancock County. That game was an all out war last year it is heart breaking to see a team battle back like Unaka did and come up short at the end but I wish Unaka the best of luck this year with all of there games and hope to see them in the state tournament.(good luck guys)
