I also agree it should be a tough game as well. LA has had a really tough schedule so far this year. McMinn hasn't had a cupcake schedule either, but LA will be more ready. LA by 9.

Jimbo- Nice to meet you finally! As everyone else has already said, it was an exciting game. It is hard to beat a team that has three players with 16 or more- Beech 26, Thompson 20, and Thurman 16. Hall just didn't have the supporting cast that LA had tonight. Baltimore played quite good D tonight like always. Handy made some really HUGE buckets when the game mattered. Handy finished with 9 pts BTW. Mullins got a bunch of boards, played great D, and bothered a bunch. She is an example to a lot of people who put too much emphasis on pts. and forget everything else. Mullins played well and didn't even score. All in all- a great game against a quality team. LA 74 OS 61

Livingston beat Oliver Springs tonight in the finals of the longest running Christmas tournament in the entire state of TN(The Liv. Jaycees Tournament) by the score of: LA 74 OS 61

Livingston was doing fine until about the third quarter when we couldn't throw it in the ocean. LA was leading closely for the whole first half virtually till we went cold. Don't know the final score, but I believe it was Pickett by 13.

Bledsoe Co. has really enjoyed a great beginning to the year. They were 8-0 before we handed them their first loss. Beware! BTW- the few that braved the elements to get there said it was CCHS best effort of the year.

I posted the score a few hours ago. Cumberland Co. 56 Bledsoe Co. 46 CCHS was led by Amanda Harville Center with 21 pts. and 10 boards. SG Beaty had 9 and PG Foster also had 9. Bledsoe was led by Cara Smith with 20. Hope this helps!

blueeyes- I didn't know that Craig was doing that game. My bad! Anyway, I can say that Craig and I used to ride the same bus for over 10 years. We did a lot together for many years. I still agree that Livingston is very lucky to have got both Roger and Craig! Now back to the game- LA 68 OS 55

Jimbo44- I've known for over 20 years that the Tennessean sports dept. is laughable unless you are from Shelbyville. They don't give 7AA much credit. Do they? Now that LA put the wood to BA tonight, I wonder if they will even notice. The true fans on CoachT could do a much better job than the sportswriters can any day.

You are right. He could light it up. He played at Penn St. for part of his first year. He then transferred to Tennessee but never suited out for another year. Great player, but should have played more.

itzme- I'm glad you realize how good this guy is. We have known about Roger Ealey for a long time in the Upper Cumberland. Roger is the voice of the TN Tech Golden Eagles for several years running also. He is a class Number 1 guy all the way around. He is also a great friend of mine. Tomorrow is the game to watch or listen if U can't be there. LA and Oliver Springs(both lead by UTChattanooga signees Beechboard and Hall) meet in the finals Tues at 7. Hope to see you there!!

How many of you out there in Coacht land remember the best player in Cumberland Co. His name in the mid 80s was none other than......... Wade Parsons! Go Jets!!

I can safely say that I hope Bradley makes our district look good. They have already laid the wood to my Jets of Cumberland Co. this year. I have a great friend who was at the game this summer. He said White Station was at least 10 points better. Next time, who knows? Right now, IT IS WHITE STATION!!

Don't know the exact score because there was some really HORRIBLE weather in Sparta. Bunches of CCHS fans were spending the night because they couldn't get back up the mountain. I didn't make it down the mountain. I will try my best to have the score tomorrow!! Excelsior!!

Chatt writer- If we are not listed in the Times Free Press aaaannnndddd we are in the Chatt district, doesn't that say other people might be wondering how we did? I will be at a bunch of the games. I will try my best to have them listed on coacht. I still think you shouldn't let coacht catch your "mistakes" that you don't cover. Anyway, keep a close eye on us guys. Should be an exciting year!

Here we go again. We are not in the Knoxville area. We are not in the MidTN area. We play with Bradley, Cleveland, McMinn Co., and Rhea Co. in our basketball district. I guess that makes us in the Chattanooga area. Doesn't it?

Yes, I am saying we will be ranked by the end of the year. In the Blackman HOF game(which can count or not count), we had two double figure starters out with the flu, two playing with the flu and another important sub out as well. I really have been impressed with Blackman and would like to play them at full strength.

One game to keep an eye on- Brentwood Academy plays @ Livingston in Liv. JCs tourney Mon. Should answer a few questions for me.

Looking forward to seeing Cumberland Co. ranked here this year. We took it to JuJuan and McMinn just this past week. We have only lost one this year that counts. The Jets are flying high!!
