  1. Dude, I may be the worse singer ever, but Rocky Top is the best song in the land, and I belt it out at the top of my lungs, and start dancin and the whole 9 yards everytime it is played. Where else can you find 100000+ grown people singin the same song with no reserves? BTW, Rocky Top count is a good way to tell if Tennessee wins or loses the game. UF- 47 times Bama-34 Auburn- 17
  2. Great football game, even with the poor officiating. Alcoa came out fired up, but after they went up, settled down and almost played in slow motion. Several bad calls by the officials did not end up hurting the Tornadoes. And By the way Ron, the game was shown all over blount county and east tennessee.
  3. Another great breakdown by my good pal Tom... Like you, I couldnt believe the USC thing, until I actually saw the hand-written letter. First of all, Alcoa's defense is to athletic to be taken down by the wing t. Second of all, Duck will have 0 problems about running the ball right down Webb's throat. I tell you what, I'll be surprised if Joei throws for 10 times.
  4. Just to help you out pal, its the blue cross, and the clinic bowl. Here's a quote from TSSAA.com Anyway, I wish Lipscomb the greatest of luck, because personally, I don't even see you getting to the Semi-final game. If you luck up though and get there, we'll be waiting on you.
  5. Anyway, back to football. I know that the football team has been working hard to take not of every time someone tells them that they can't win the clinic. This is a different Alcoa team, in my opinion, than ones of years past. THis is a very close, hardworking team, that has great chemistry and good discipline. That is why I think that they can win the Clinic.
  6. Buddy, that is a little across the line. Where me and AlcoaBoi come from, you just don't talk about other people's mama's. I hope we see you at the Lipscomb game, and then I'll get to beat your #$%, while our team is beatin the $%#* of yours.
  7. Does anyone have a link to the article?
  8. Dont pay any attention to Chris Burr. That's probably one of the more intelligent things I've seen him post on here.
  9. Just wanted to dish out some kudos to the unsung heroes : Martin White, Colton Reid, Josiah Standridge, Jacob Lequire, and Drew Miller.
  10. Well buddy, what's the difference in what your doing and what we are doing. I believe, since the Maryville game, and excluding the Willie B game, that our starters have been up at least 21 points by the end of the first quarter, but Coach Reid just doesn't take them out yet. What you said just doesn't provide a lot of insight on your team's ability. As fast and strong as Lipscomb may be, I don't think that they can stack up to Alcoa in those categories. If they win the game, it will be because of football mechanics.
  11. Who's tyner got coming up anyway?
  12. We've come a long way since the Clinton Scrimmage.
  13. By the way Tdent, Colton is going to be playing Middle backer instead of Will Thatcher.
  14. I think alcoa wins this one by at least 28. Don't get me wrong though Webb has some players such as there 1000 yard rusher Ryan Walker. A.J Kirby is not hat bad either and Tyler Clendenen can return some kicks but there just isn't enough there to beat us. As long as were stop Webb on the trap we will win big. Prediction Alcoa 49 Webb 21
  15. I don't think that he is the greatest linebacker ever. I don't think that he will even play linebacker anymore at Alcoa. And to answer your question, I stand by, and believe everything I said while he was at Willie B. Meanwhile, I dont think that Alcoa is one-dimensional at all. I stayed w/ Colton at Coach Reids last night, and they were telling me how Joei has been visited by the QB coaches out of UGA and Ohio State. That is not too one-dimensional to me. We have an extremely balanced offense if you actually look at the stats, it just seems like we give it to DUck so often, because he is dominant
  16. I'm thinkin a win over David Lipscomb will propel us into the state championship
  17. Are you seeing a 4th round loss or is that someone else?
  18. I think that Tennessee has a very good chance to go to a BCS bowl. With an apparent loss from Miami tonight, and either Virginia or FSU going down this week, Tennessee has a great chance to make it into the top 7 before the SEC champ, providing we make it there. With a SEC CHamp win, we will obviously be a lock for a BCS bowl, but another perspective is the fact that we might be able to get an at-large bid if we perform strongly the rest of the year.
  19. I think that Alcoa will be a huge surprise to many people this year. After losing 6 seniors last year, and widely viewed as being in a rebuilding year, expect the tornadoes to come out hungry. Players to watch: Daniel Stubblefield & Justin Ridenour
  20. Another note on Alcoa football: Bart Hicks did make an appearance at our high school today, much to the dismay of practically everyone I think, especially the 'team leaders', but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll be playing any at Alcoa. I don't blame him, because if I had left for WB and they ended up to be that bad, I would leave too.
  21. After a self-mandated 2 month break from Coacht after the disappointing loss to Maryville, I am happy to be back on Coacht. There has obviously been a lot I have missed. But, to the main point, how do you think the mighty Alcoa Tornadoes will fare in 2-A chase for the state championship? After dismantling their 'toughest region contender' as quoted in the PrepXtra, Rockwood, and with the help with a somewhat easy second half of football, I believe that Alcoa is going to have a easy flight into the #1 seed of the 2A playoffs. I also believe that this will be their year to get to the state championship game, for the first time since the Coach Meadows, former Alcoa, soon to be former WB coach, era. Depending on who they play in the title game, I believe that we have a very good chance to take home the hardware this year.... All other opinions are encouraged.
  22. Who do you think will win the UT/UF game? Personally, and I am obviously biased, I think that UT can and will win this game...By 7. Schaeffer and Ainge, if they can keep their cool, will tear up Zook's D, and I think that, even though we have a weak secondary, our linebackers will contain the UF running game, and Chris Leak, and force him to make errant passes. Colquitt will play a huge role in this game, as well as Wilhoit, and I hope that the latter has been practicing, after missing that FG in the UNLV game. Remember, UF was going to have 2 games to fine tune their D, but now they will only have (possibly) 1, against Eastern Michigan, which is by, no stretch of the imagination, not even half as good as UNLV. Dorsey, for the Rebels, will probably be the fastest tailback we see this year, and if UF tries to copy his sucess, I think they will find a less favorable result.
  23. Bud Williams is coming along, despite a poor showing at the first meet. I heard that the meet on Sat. will be doubled up, because of the cancel today at Victor Ashe, for whatever reason.
  24. First of all, there are no 'sour grapes' between me and hicks. We used to be boys, so I don't wish him any harm or wrong, but I do think that he is struggling meeting the high expectations. Alcoa is well prepared for this game, as I am sure WB is too. Alcoa has been told that they are too small, not enough depth, choking in the clutch, etc. . . They are equally prepared to make a rebuttal to these remarks. Coach Reid is obviously savoring the chance to go TO his old field, and to knock off the old team. I don't know if there is as bad of feeling from WB to Reid as there are from Alcoa to Meadows, but I know that there are a few folks over at WB that Reid has been itchin to show up. Fiegler is ready to prove himself against a 5-A school. Warren, in his last primetime game (Maryville) did not get to play as well as he wanted, because of his calf injuries. He will readily be accepting the challenge against WB. One thing that I do know, is there that is still a lot of bad blood between Alcoa players and Ronald. Between the trash talking, and 'traitor' status he has taken among Alcoa players, especially the veteran ones, I think he will find a few hungry linebackers waiting for him. Alcoa by 14.

    Alcoa Vs. WB

After the disappointing performance Vs. Soddy Daisy the other night, I think that this game will be a little one sided, in favor of Alcoa. I say that we will win by 7. What are other's thoughts? Bart Hicks didn't look to special the other night either.
