Lateria Ownes from Columbia has to get consideration. She is avg 20 pts per game and 12 rebounds per game. She broke the 1000 career rebound mark this year. At Columbia, she has played with 4 other D-1 signess and 2 more who signed at small schools. She has signed with Western Kentucky.

Columbia out played Shelbyville in all aspects of the game. Owens dominated Jarrell on both ends of the floor. Shelbyville struggled shooting the basketball, and some of that can be credited to Columbia's defense. A great game plan buy the Columbia coaches and well excuted by the kids. I bet Shelbyville never dreamed in a 100 years they would come to Columbia and get handled that way. District season is still young. Some great match ups left. Great win for Columbia last night!

Saw Wayne Co play last weekend in the Columbia Thanksgiving Tourney. They looked real impressive. I can't make a predicition because I have not seen Collinwood. But with Andrews and Daniel, I am sure they will be tough. Should be a great game. Good luck to both teams!!

Tourney is over. Great crowds all weekend. Also, it was some great ball games. We saw some of the best teams and best players in the state! Thanks to all who came out and watched!!!
