Columbia plays at 2pm and 3pm at Blackman Saturday. They play Glencliff and Blackman. Columbia should be fun and exciting to watch this year. They have no seniors. Claybourne, Sparkman and Cotton should be their leaders. They have a couple of kids who can shoot the "3". And their coach(Moore) is pregnant and due the week of district tournament. As always, expect them to be quick and athletic. Should be very competitive.

2 game classic!

It has always been a girls only tournament. This year, they have added two boys games. I think they really want to try and keep it a mostly girls tournament. www.marshalltribune.com Just saw on the Marshall County Newspaper web-site that he has resigned to spend more time with his family. He will continue to teach at Marshall COunty. The article said the Boyd West(who is the Assistant) is the favorite to take over the job.

Just saw on TSSAA web-site where Marshall Co is looking for a new Girls Basketball coach. Does anyone have details on Steely? He just won the AA State Championship. Details?

I am not 100% on this, but I don't think they can coach a team(AAU) or give individual instruction for money. They can coach and give instruction- just can't recieve compensation for it. They can work a college camp and make money ( this is how many college kids make money in the summer!). I don't understand all the NCAA rules. Some of them are very crazy!

How good will Indy be next year? How will the other teams in their district be?

The East girls won. Don't know the score. The West team had more talent, but East played as a team. Dana Jackson from Franklin Co. was named MVP for the East.

I heard yesterday that they already had their guy? I was told it was Steve Wiley from Smyrna. This could be a really bad rumor. but it came from a pretty reliable source.

Does Ed's Bi-Rite have optional Ceasar salads?

It wont be 24 in a row. I know there have been several teams that have won the state tourney ( LAwrence Co and Coffee Co), that dosent mean they won the district, but I believe LAwrence Co did. I know Columbia won the district in 04-05. They went 12-0 in the regular season and then beat Lincoln Co in the finals. Shelbyville without a doubt has been the most dominant, but it's not 24 in a row.
