It's been a while since i've posted here on coach t. but all this hype about us going to state has got me a little excited so i decided to give my two cents. Giles County should be able to pull off this round one win against austin east.I lived in maryville tn. last year and i got to see austin east play a few times...i think if GC can play a good FULL game of basketball we should be advancing to round two so..thats whats up..good luck GILES COUNTY...peace

I think that if Giles County plays to their full potential then they can play with the best and win. Giles County seniors Tyler Smith and Channing Coffey of course have to come up big in big games and they have to want it along with the rest of the team because thats what wins game...teamwork and heart...but i do agree with most of everybody else. Boliver is number 1 until proven otherwise.

Tyler Smith's dunk on Brandan Wright...It was so nasty!!!

I think Tyler Smith is the best "dunker" in the state. And he also had the sickest dunk I've ever seen against the "potential 2006 lottery pick Brandan Wright"...it was unbelievable he just straight threw it down on Brandan.

This game is gonna be great. Hands down the winner is Tyler Smith. Catfish you need to quit hatin on Tyler but im sure you wont. I havent watched a game yet that Tyler hasnt tried his hardest in. He also gets his team-mates involved unlike other "big time players". Tyler wins this contest and for some strange reason he doesnt its like willy p said they gon regret it when they see what he does in college. keep doin what you do tyler. holla at ya boy....Tyler Smith best player with ease.

hey dude last time i checked giles county basketball was a big deal and im almost positive gibson hasnt hosted buzz peterson in there crowd and i dont think they've had GREAT players such as tyler smith and brandan wright playing on the same court and i dont think us at GC waste our time on playing gibson we blow-out enough teams already...matt laxson holla at ya boy

GREAT GAME!!! I am a little disappointed about the loss but at least it wasn't a blow-out. People talking to me about the game for weeks at school kept talking about we can't beat them or hang with them but i guess now they know that giles can hang with them and we will win in the re-match. Great game GC and BA. Can't wait till the 25th. Good game Giles we'll get'em next time...holla at ya boy

It's definately gonna be a close good game. If Giles has an explosive first quarter and keeps that intensity the whole game it will be a Giles victory. Yes Coffey has to play and so does everyone else who gets playing time. I can't wait to watch Brandan and Tyler go at it. I think it will be Giles by 5...GO BOBCATS!!! To my boy "Frank the Tank"....thanks for kind of giving me a laugh. I always think its funny when a person that has absolutely no idea of what they're saying actually tries to post. I'm not denying the fact that Giles could have played better, but to say anything negative towards a a good coach and a GREAT player (tyler smith who is also a nominee for mr.basketball again) you have got to be kidding. The bobcats have played a great season although yes they do have to work on defences and free-throws, but i think you messed up on your post right when u started typing. Forgive me if this has offended you in any way but hey somebody has to step up and let the haters know when they crossing the line. So - what kind of defenses does Cheatham run? I would like to see Giles put a 3-2 zone on the Cubs and stop that 3 point shooting.
