  1. Ummmm.....the Herald Citizen listed her as the number one scorer in the Upperman Cumberland......averaging 26.7 points a game. I just saw the article tonight.
  2. Brown averages a lot more than 20 points a game.
  3. Come on Oneida loyals lets hear it this time. Was it the refs again? Or was it the fact that York out played them in all 4 quarters?
  4. DeKalb is good this year they will win by 15+...
  5. From what I understand they have lost every game thus far. Brandi Brown is still out, Ashli England is out for the season with a broken foot, and Delayne Allred is out with a sprain to her knee....
  6. Danny Ray Atkins! He's awesome....so quick.
  7. Yes Jamestown has leagues before you get into highschool. Guru. And Danny Ray was born and bred in Jamestown.
  8. Just wondering if anybody has seen Danny Ray Atkins from York Institute play soccer before. He's not on the team for some reason but this guy has amazing quickness and would be a sure start at the striker position. Any thoughts?
  9. Dustin Buck, Derek Sambre, and Micah Smith all have to be in there somewhere.
  10. I agree that it's not a bad idea, but it would be hard to change the numbers and actually get much out of it. They would be very simliar to the class system we already have. You could change the numbers and have: A...400 and Below AA...410-800 AAA-801 and up Still it's hard for schools with 850 students to compete with Bradley Central who has 2,300 students. I'm not sure I understand the argument about money. York Institute is funded directly from the state, no county funding, and they still only have about 600 students and this is with a lot of students from neighboring counties comming in. I'm not so sure money attracts students to schools.
  11. The only team from 7AA that would lose would be DeKalb. I think they need to put DeKalb in a different district lol.
  12. There aren't that many schools with 150 students to begin with, unless they are private schools.
  13. I think this is a great idea. I was at the State Championship yesterday and Bolivar had more fans there than we have in our whole county, yet we are in the same division. This wouldn't make it easier for smaller schools to compete with bigger schools, only easier for smaller schools to play with smaller schools. The smaller schools wouldn't even be playing the bigger schools in the post-season. There would be no regions with a few schools dominating year after year because they have 950 students, while the other schools have 450. It would also make it even tougher for the big schools in easy regions to get to state year after year. I'm sure that's happened at least once in every state's history, but it doesn't happen often. BTW the population of TN is way bigger than KY, a class system is not needed there yet.
  14. Sure is. I know this will cause a lot of commotion if many from Fentress County read this, but I wish that they would just let the schools combine. Neither school is very big so it would stay in AA, and hopefully if that ever happens the state would still fully fund York.
  15. Sleep-- Don't count out your lil sister. She's got a pretty sweet shot herself.
  16. Whitney Baird....what grade is she in??? Brown is just a sophomore. Was Barid, at the end of her sophomore year, on pace to score 2,500 to 3,000 points by the end of her senior season?
  17. Brandi Brown will be Ms. Basketball. She's a 6'2/6'3 guard. She scored 1,000 points a little over half way through her sophomore year. Another 7AA Ms. Basketball....who would have thought.
  18. Actually they had the state tournament at TTU already....it was called the 7AA tournament though. Different name, means the same thing though.
  19. Weren't Newman as well as Fuller transfers. From what I understood Newman came from Maryland and Fuller's mom played for Insell and she transfered from somewhere. I know a few years ago Abbi Ramsey transfered from Grundy County.
  20. i'd say dustin buck.....an amazing ball handler.
  21. LoL....hilarious. This thread should be closed for being so stupid.
  22. Peabody is a great team, but don't take away what Clarkrange has just done. They brought home the gold ball so they are the best single A team in the state. Congrats Clarkrange....all of Fentress is very proud.
  23. I would have voted for Hensley, because they voting takes place before the state tournament. After seeing her perform in the state tournament there is no question that she should be Ms. AA Basketball. The same goes for Michelle Snow from Clarkrange. I might have voted for the girl from Ezell-Harding, but after the tournament it's obvious that Michelle Snow should be Ms. Basketball. Something should be done about the voting system.
