Which day did you see gibson play? We(Creek Wood) just got back from Crockett. We went 4-2 with wins over Gibson, Peabody, Crockett and Union City. We got blowed out by JCM in our worst game of the summer and lost our last one to Ripley when coach only played the starters for the first 10 minutes then played the JV then entire second half. We're not from West Tn and coach always takes us down there to play against the best. Don't really know much about the teams from down there other than the ones in our region(Chester, Bolivar, etc).

Did anybody see the Tennessean last week where they had Sycamore being moved out of our district? If they get moved out that should really open up the race for the district. Also, don't you think Fairview should be tough this year? They had it going on last year til some of their best guys got hurt.

Maybe I overreacted a little bit but you all did put SC in front of us(no disrespect to them intended). They have the twins and some good young guys and a new coach. Sycamore has a new coach and has to replace some pretty good guys. They won't be as deep as they usually are either. For us, Palmore started most of the year. We have Walton, Hyndman, Dotson, Crow and Darden who all played major rolls off the bench at different times last year. They pretty much won our Harpeth game at home. Hyndman and Dotson both have looked really good inside this summer. I think the district is wide open. Sorry Deerhunter and HHs-you guys both had us picked near the top on last years thread. Just believe we have as good a chance as anyone else.

Good like always. They didn't have their big guy. I think coach said their football guys weren't there. I know their guards were all there.

We think we are getting better. The biggest thing we all need is experience. We went to Wilson Central and we all felt the games were in slow motion compared to Jackson. At Jackson, we only beat Ridgeway(without some of their starters-they also had no fresh or soph with them). We lost in the last few minutes to some of the others. Most of the games were extremely physical. The Liberty game only had one non TSSAA ref for over half of the game and we gave up the lead with about 2mins left and lost by 6 oor 7. All this doesn't mean a whole lot. Camp is camp but you only get better by playing the best.

As usual, glad to see no one thinks much of us. Many times last year(Harpeth, Sycamore games), our second group was better than our seniors that we lost. Guess we will see. How's everyones summer going? We went to Jackson this past week and played Henry co, Bolivar, Liberty, Fayette-Ware, Memphis Westwood and Ridgeway and we go back to Jackson and take on Union City and more. Our records not great but we are getting better and finding ways to compete.

Yea, I know. Just trying to get a little love and give him a hard time. Pretty sure games are the other way around. Coach today said we played late game.

Papatiger, no love for Creek Wood? Oh well, you're like everybody else, don't root for us or give us a chance.

Didn't realize winning by 6 was demolishing a team. You guys played a great game and we didn't play our best and you barely beat us on your home floor.

Just a few minor corrections. We have one junior starter(Palmore). Our other senior(Jeppsen) is still recovering from ACL surgery. Pierre's dunk attempt was over Elliott who took a charge. Pierre can freaking leap out of the gym. The lob was unreal. Primm was also in foul trouble and sat most of the game and the refs were like they are every night-bad.

Does Page have a radio station that covers them and what is the name if they do?

Coach Jones is only stating what the players and people from that area perceive it to have been in the past even though that may not be what actually happened. The same things were felt here at Creek Wood when we opened. The rivalry over there will be great and we only wish that we could experience the same thing here with Dickson County. Good luck Coach Jones and East Hickman!

Didn't seem as though they coasted. They changed defenses 4 or 5 times in the 1st half trying to stop us. We just couldn't maintain it in the 2nd half. I'll say the winner of the Bolivar- Harpeth game will go to whichever area of the state the refs are from. If they're from Middle Tn, Harpeth, if they're from West Tn, Bolivar.

Bolivar did press in the first half. We handled it much better and scored at the other end. They turned up the heat in the 3rd and we didn't respond. Also, the same shots we had in the 1st half didn't fall in the 2nd. The game was called fairly evenly in the 1st half. Both teams were allowed to play physical(typical of that area). At the start of the 3rd quarter, Bolivar made a quick 8-0 run and then the refs made a quick 6-0 run. They called 6 straight fouls against CW and 0 for Bolivar to start the quarter. Somehow that put our two best ballhandlers(Jeppsen and E Williams) and our best post(Primm) on the bench with 4 fouls. The guys let the calls and physicality get in their head and couldn't stop the bleeding. After the game got out of hand the refs called enough fouls on Bolivar at the end to even the foul totals. Don't get me wrong, we didn't play well enough to win and the calls didn't decide the game, but the way the game was called sure changed when Bolivar got down. It's tough for any visiting teams to win in that area. Bolivar better bring their A game against Harpeth. Harpeth has enough guards to handle the pressure even if they get in foul trouble. Props to the Red Hawks for the best season in school history and making it to the region for the first time. Our five junior starters will be back next year for another run at it.

BC, thanks for finally giving us some credit. But, like HHS, please don't pick us to have a chance against Bolivar. We may not even go.

Girls consolation and championship Tuesday, boys Wednesday. I think it's a 6:00pm start.

TSSAA does get part of the gate.

Pretty sure the powers that be at TSSAA had something to do with the times. They had to get permission to have 4 games on Monday.

Were you at the game? At one point in the 2nd half SC had 2 or 3 fouls called on them to either 9 or 10 for CW. Stewart didn't get many fouls called until late in the game when they were trying to foul. The refs weren't very good either way but in no way did they "help" CW.

You may want to change how many you have per team. If I'm not mistaken, 1st & 2nd get 3 players, 3rd & 4th get 2 players and everyone else gets 1 each.
