  1. Somebody give us the top 5. Please don't include Rankin, Gaddis, or Lussier as they are not serious candidates as all three have successful programs and either do not wish to, or are not wanted by the admin.
  2. Very athletic football player, and a great person from everyone I talk with. His cousin Jai Robinson, trainer at D1, says he is a great kid. I hope he has a huge game tonight, and an even bigger combine in a few months.
  3. Chad Coleman LB from Anderson County. He had a great senior year, very deserving.
  4. What, is right, what a retard. I don't need to say much else, you have showed your colors. Why don't you move across the border, you might fit in there. This thread is to celebrate the kids that got invited, not to cry about the ones who didn't. I am just providing some information for those kids. One more piece of advice, check your spell checker before you post, a lot is two words. I guess you showed how smart you were too.
  5. Rhea, this was a great game last year. The Tennessee team threw the ball all over the field with the QB Mcmillan from Central and the Recs from Maryville(Shiver) and Halls(Dayton). They ran the ball well too with the Cobb from Fulton. It was an exciting game to watch. I expect more people this year because last year's game was so good. A lot of D2,D3, and NAIA will be there throughout the week to watch practice and see the game. Take a ride up I-75, and I don't think you will be disappointed.
  6. Last year's game was a great football game. I was there. The Tennessee team threw the ball all over the field with Central's McMillan at QB, and Maryville's Shiver and the Dayton kid from Halls at X. They ran the ball well too with the Fulton TB Cobb. Steve Brewer from Sevier County will head coach this year, and his staff has been picked as well. I look for a bigger crowd this year because last year's game was so good. Take a trip up I 75 and I don't think you will be disappointed.
  7. The East Tennessee Border Bowl roster is listed below. The game will be played at the University of the Cumberlands January 17 at 1:00. Last year's game was played in front of over 5,000 people with an East Tennessee win. The National Guard is the new sponsor this year, and will have a lot of activities going on before the game. You can visit www.ky-tn-borderbowl.com for more information. These seniors will get one more shot to show they can play with the best. Good luck East Tn. 8. The Border Bowl Roster for the East Tennessee Team is below. The game will be January 17 at the University of the Cumberlands with a 1:00 kickoff. Last year's event was played in front of over 5,000 people. This year it is being sponsored by The National Guard, and should be even bigger. It should be a great game and give these seniors one more chance to play. East Tennesee won last year's game, and this one should be a great one as well. Check out www.ky-tn-borderbowl.com for more information on the game. 9. The Border Bowl will have players from East Tennessee as far south as Boyd Buchanon and as far west as Roane County just west of Knoxville. Coach Brewer and his Border Bowl Staff will choose the offense. I know last year the team used some variations of the spread and the I because of the Cobb kid (tailback from Knoxville Fulton). He took the game over in the second half running the ball and really opened it up for the Tennessee team to win. Anyone interested may try to contact Steve Brewer for more information. This year's game should be a great one, I heard the KY folks were not happy with the Tennessee victory last year.
  10. The Border Bowl is January 19 at University of the Cumberlands. It features East Tennessee seniors against Eastern Kentucky seniors. Last year they had 5,600 attend the game. 38 seniors off the Tennessee team were playing ball on a college roster this fall. Tennessee won that game, and I think they will win again this year. The winning team gets championship rings, and a suitcase full of clothes to take with them. Also, the kids get looked at by KY NAIA and D2/D3 schools. It is a great opportunity to play ball one more time for those seniors, who did not make the D1 cut. The rosters are being picked now, and Coach Steve Brewer of Sevier County will be the head coach this year. East TN will represent again this year. Good Luck to all those players who get selected.
  11. den, Relax, it is Thanksgiving. Get yourself a dictionary and look up the definition to the word there. It is a place, it doesn't show possession. Also, get yourself a Halls High history lesson, last time the Mavs came to HHS, they left with a victory (2000). Like I said, relax you have plenty of time to talk. Let this be a good post, talk about how good your team is, and if they are looking forward to playing OR, AC, and Campbell County. AC and Halls has been and will be a dogfight for obvious reasons, I can't wait for the season.
  12. The Anderson County Mavericks will be back in with some old foes next year. I am looking forward to seeing some great games with Powell, Halls, Central, Oak Ridge, Campbell County, and Clinton. AC has been playing these teams during the regular season or jamboree/scrimmages for the past two seasons, and now it counts. Should be an exciting time for this new district. AC has picked up Morristown East as well, and I think that will be a competitive game. The MAVS lose a talented group of seniors, but return a hungry group of Juniors that are excited about next season.
  13. BUMP. Don't let qbdad and dden take away from the game of the week. Buy the ticket ktown, you won't be disappointed.
  14. dden, take some grammar lessons, those TWO brothers are from Campbell County, but they were not recruited to come here. Niether was 22. Ask your head coach, he signed a letter saying he was not recruited. 22 came to AC on his own. He has grown in our system. I don't need to take up for Coach Kerr, his record speaks for itself, 36 years over 270 wins. Many coaches would love to have it. It is called winner winner chicken dinner. You should try some instead of being jealous of a man who has been successful. Winning seems to matter most in East Tennessee, just ask Coach Fulmer, and Larry Kerr has done that for a long time. dden, use the ABC check before you post again, it is a neat button that can save us a laugh.
  15. qbdad, What a joke, are you kidding me? 22 is a stud running back, very humble, great kid. Keep your negative jealous comments about kids to your "sorry out of the play offs self." Better yet, by a ticket, and watch the show friday night. I can assure you one thing, you will get your money's worth. AC is coming to play, bank on it. He lives in Norris, and you need to check your self before you get on here talking about such a great kid. You better check your roster this spring, I here a lot of your kids want to make a move after that poor season you had. If the truth hurts, it is working.
  16. AC turned the ball over 3 times inside their 50 last time. The irish know they were handed 3 scores, won't happen this time. Look for a great game, both teams physical up front, speed on the field for both. AC's seniors want the rematch, and are greatly looking forward to it.
  17. Keep running that mouth jackets98, 21 points, what a joke, you should work for channel 8 with rick " I pick Fulton" russo. AC called the plays out to Fulton, and they still couldn't stop them.
  18. Looking forward to seeing a great game friday night. AC is very strong up front, and hungry to get back on the field after starting slow last week. AC and Fulton have had some exciting finishes, I have a feeling this early region battle will be one you don't want to miss.
  19. The 4th Annual Orthopeadic Surgeons of Oak Ridge Jamboree will be at Anderson County High School August 15 at 7:00. Should be a great line up with Jellico v. Claiborne County, Campbell County v. White County, Onieda v. Union County, White County v. Clinton, Oak Ridge v. Anderson County.
  20. The 4th Annual Orthopeadic Surgeons of Oak Ridge Jamboree will be held on August 15 at Anderson County High School. It will have Jellico v. Claiborne County, Campbell County v. White County, Oneida v. Union County, Clinton v. White County, and end with Oak Ridge v. Anderson County. It should be a great night to come out and watch some Friday Night Lights. Should be a great event, Kick off at 7.
  21. The Anderson County Mavericks love the new plan. Natural rivalries, great gates, and no trips to Stone Memorial and Livingston Academy. Looking forward to seeing some games between the MAVS and the wildcats.
  22. Boo, Did you guys have a combine over there at AE recently? I heard they had one and some guys from around the region were there. Give some info on it if you have any.
  23. Jonathan Sharp from Anderson County will sign with Eastern Kentucky. He was the TE and will play that at EKU.
  24. The Border Bowl will be played at The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY January 12 at noon. Should be a good game, I hear the KY team is stacked with talent. The game will be one last chance for small colleges to get a look at some high school athletes that want to continue their career.
  25. Please don't compare that team with the 96 team. I don't know how you could. OR has not seen talent like that team since they left. Gipson, Bohanon, McCadley were very gifted. Now debate all you want, but Spurrier did not fly into Oak Ridge to see Booker or Gulmire. He came to see the playmakers, Mike Gipson, Shawn Bohanon, and Jason McCadley. Joe Gaddis and his staff couldn't bring it home that year, does that make him a bad coach? Ask Henry County how good of a coach they think he is. Get off Coach Stevens' back, he has more state championships than you. OR has it's coach, get behind him, or go somewhere else.
