Anyone know of any upcoming games on this Saturday? I know it's rare, but need to find one to go to.

Game was canceled. Monterey played at Dekalb Co. instead. I think Monterey and Westmoreland will start off next year w/ a doubleheader.

Coach Chaffin was talking to me Sunday at church and told me Froning had 7 stitches put in his hand That's as much as I heard. He didn't act as though it was a big deal, but as far as where Froning will go from here, I dunno.

Ah yes, this is definately a humorous thread.... I was tempted to start one titled "Best Coach Who Can Pick Up 4 Bats With One Hand"...mine would win. Anywho, I know we have a freshman with some mean seed spitting skill. He's working on the seed curve, but his knuckle is something out of this world.

Last year when I saw them play Chipper had changed songs...I don't remember what it was...I wanna say it was some crap...I mean rap.

This is all they play at Spring Training. I heard it every game last year when I went.

If I recall correctly, wasn't Monterey 1 run away from beating Westmoreland last year? Friendship and all the other great teams from all these other districts mean nothing to me. A winning record in the past means nothing. The only thing that matters is how they play this year.

Jon is definately gonna do well this year. His stuff has been workin and he's throwin hard and accurate. I'm lookin forward to it.

I won't pass a judgement and say who will be the best this season, because a lot of teams do surprise you. Of course, I'm a little partial to Monterey here...

The HS and Monterey game is Friday the 19th. Monterey is young...there is skill on the team, there is just lacking with team play. Give them a few years to develop. The underclassmen coming up are good. Random fact: Monterey is 0-9....lost by a total of 253 points.
