waldrop prob isnt quite as good as price, but with both of them heading off to vandy next year (as long as they get past the draft), they will have some good starters

farragut is the favorite, but dont forget that it is baseball and anything can happen...dont count the other teams out, they've gotten this far and nobody wants to go home empty-handed

maybe cobb doesnt have the raw skills that pomeranz does...but i'd take that kid (cobb) on my team without any regrets because of his mental makeup, competiveness, his work ethic, and desire to win...from what i hear pomeranz isnt the brightest kid alive and doesnt work his butt off like cobb...just listening to him on the news last year after farragut beat houston is enough evidence to me that he's not to bright...he cant even answer a simple question easily

Farragut has typically hit hard-throwing right handers well this year. They have hit the ball extremely well against Tanner Hiles, Lee Vannoy, Scott Green (6'8" pitcher from Louisville Male H.S.) just to name a few. I'll take my chances with Farragut over any right handed pitcher.

HVOL, Thanks for clearing that up. I had heard both ways on that subject, and wasn't to familiar with people blending the two scholarships. You sure do your homework on that stuff. Besides, that should be an incentive to get strong academic athletes at your program if you're only allowed 11.7 scholarships which I find ridiculous.

those are good grades, but the only problem is that SEC schools like Alabama aren't allowed to stack academis scholarships on top of athletic scholarships, if i'm not mistaken, its rare to get that and any division 1 school, it might be more common however at a smaller D-I or D-II school

you should go, it should be a decent game, and it'll be the last time for the locals to come see farragut this year, unless they'd like to follow them to memphis if they do make it

lets just hope clement's arm doesnt fall off this summer after throwing what seemed like every game, if his arm is up to full strength he is good, but when he was throwing with no rest at all day after day, he wasnt as effective

thanks for the info, farragut normally hits right handed pitchers pretty well no matter how fast they throw, and their ace will be on the mound, so hopefully he will be able to shut their sticks down and farragut will play good defense behind him

can anyone give some info on greenville? hows there hitting? pitching? and maybe some players to watch

i dont think it'll be that big of a blow out, there is to much on the line for both teams, but who knows, farragut has done it before
