The offense moved the ball at will and Giles' offense only mustered a few first downs. They never came remotely close to scoring. Got to have a little fun my man, Is coach Trapp still at DC? Always heard he could out bench most coaches but lacked NCAA video game skills, it's a shame they can't make that game anymore because of all the lawsuits too.

Not sure about "wickedtuna" but I'm just going off the reasons I listed for a team to be picked at the top and Spring Hill definitely fits the criteria to be in that conversation. Giles wins this region, lets give it to them now and be done with it. Since 09 they have dominated everyone else and haven't had a losing season but once (last year 5-7). My mind has changed and y'all have convinced me, seriously, no sarcasm. Spring Hill and Tullahoma battle for 2nd. Page, Lawrenceburg and Marshall just can fight it out for the bottom. Total sarcasm on the rest of post after the first sarcasm reference.

You may get 1 or.2 out of the 6 correct but I just now noticed your name and if you live up around that area and don't get to watch much of this region play then that's understandable. Your 3rd and 4th teams will more than likely be the top 2 and the rest fighting it out for the remaining 4 spots.

Nah I'm good bud, just like hearing other fans opinions and reasoning behind it. I just notice most folks pick a team because they played their team back in 2010 or a few years back and really looked good or something along those lines you know. I'm more the kind of person that goes off returning starters, coaching staff, offseason work being put in and all that good stuff. I hope and figure all teams are working hard right now to improve which surely they are. Spring Hill should be deep and have a much improved team for the reasons I listed above and Marshall county as well. Not real familiar with Tullahoma but have heard good things about their Head coach and staff. Giles loses so many key pieces and that's the big reason I think they don't finish in top 2 or 3. But it's high school football and you never know what can happen which makes it so fun and special to watch, Good Luck to all teams in their upcoming spring season starting up soon, hope all stays healthy and finds them up and coming players to fill voids left by those seniors graduating.

I would think the year going to the State title game was due to the previous staff just being gone one season and their teachings still being fresh with the players. I guess time will tell thou.

Was just about to comment in the same direction, to compare those coaches in that way is way off. All the talk of getting bigger, faster, stronger is great but what do you think the other teams are doing? Sitting on the couch? Having great talent is one thing and Walt has had some both at Mt.Pleasant and now at Giles but it's what you do with those not so talented kids that really matters, turning that back up guard or that 3rd string cornerback into a player is what the coaching difference in Walt and Osteen programs that will show up the most.

It's really idiotic to say Marshall doesn't have more talent coming up, "fan blind" can really make you look like someone that is panicking can't it shadowcat? We all know that wiseman just hopes and wishes Osteen doesn't stay long, do that wishing in one hand and #2💩in another hand and see which one fills up faster... When your current head coach puts in for a job at Summertown I think that says a lot of how he feels about that locker room situation you talk of like you know so much more than anyone else on here. Hey since you can hope and wish I guess I can too and I hope Walt stays at Giles for a long time, he won't be over .500 for some time unless he starts scheduling old Mt.Pleasant foes. Deuces

Reality is some fans on here are way out of touch with it. Even if the young QB goes to Giles for high school it will be some rough days ahead from what is excepted there.

For one I wouldn't think Osteen would go anywhere for four years if/with young Wallace comes to MCHS, he is just that loyal and a man of his word. Secondly if you haven't heard the talent in that grade and around it is way deeper over in MCHS than Giles, the middle school won their Division with a 8-1 rec

I mean if I was the dad I would definitely want my son to play for a coach like Walt, he would get home early in the evening to get all his chores and homework done. Come on people get serious, all you have to do is put the film on and look at the play calling and effort of his players. Quit being so "fan blind", if Coach Osteen had Trevor Holder on this years MCHS team they would have mercy ruled Giles both games. If you take Osteen and his staff and swap teams with Giles staff it wouldn't be close either way. I have no dog in the fight but it's clear to me what the best option is for someone young especially a QB of talent and desire to be great should do. Osteen lives and breathes football, not to mention he is a man of great character and role model.
