  1. All results @ http://www.tssaa.org./2003 Champions/StateW...on1/results.htm
  2. Ty Cody (SHHS) 1st place @ 152 (D1)
  3. BOTW, you seem to know a bit about TN wrestling. I would like to know how you would rank the regions in terms of overall strength.
  4. Region 8 must be tough @ 119 for Speroff to be a 3 seed. ( I think thats where he's from)
  5. I think the saying is "TO BE THE MAN, YOU GOTTA BEAT THE MAN" Good luck to all the men in the lower 1/2 of the 119 bracket.
  6. is there any way to see the consolation brackets yet
  7. how bout the usury kid from shhs... he only lost to warfield 14-12 and from what I kno, has a pretty impressive record.
  8. Coach Price has done a great job with him.
  9. Bo Usary is the kid from Science Hill. He is about 40-4 this year with 2 losses to Giesmar, 1 to a wrestler from NC and now Warfield. As a freshman he lost to Fuller in the 1st round at state last year. Tnranker had him as 4th this year. Warfield is a good wrestler and it was a great match.
  10. DB won over Morristown East, SHHS over Greenville not sure of scores In the championship match SHHS over DB 38-34 Some very good matches
  11. As a parent of two SHHS wrestlers I have learned first hand of the calibur of coach that Jeff Price is. The wrestling knowledge my boys have aquired in a relatively short time is overwelming to me. They have much to learn to be the wrestlers I know they want to be and am sure they are at the right place to obtain that knowledge and discipline. Many top wrestling schools have good feeder programs and Jeff has done what he has done without one. A problem he has addressed this year working to build a soild youth program. No doubt to take kids as 8th or 9th graders with no knowledge of wrestling and build a team that can compete year in and year out on a state level is almost impossible. This year may be proof of this with ten of the fourteen wt classes being sophmores or freshmen. Not an excuse just fact. But don't count SHHS out just yet. I will go on record first to say watch for this program to contend for a state championship in the next two years. In closing let me say as a team yes they are down this year only because the bar has been set so high by past SHHS teams. I know of no other team in this region that could post a 13-1 record so far this year and be asked if they were down. A testement to the work Jeff has done at SHHS.
