  1. Dear MTN, I never had you pegged as a Hater. I was completely unaware of that certain wrestler competing with your son. If it helped great, good atheletes learn from defeat it makes them stronger. My son benefited from great teamates, and coaches most named Simpson or Dunning. Yes lighten up, maybe they shoukd attend some college matches. Then they would really see some fans of the sport "out of line". Heck yeah you guys got brusied on this forum. It was a great debate a few years ago, but I always put McCallie ahead of you in that category. It is likely that the whiners kids were shown how roof of the gym looks by a wrestler and just don't know how to take a loss. Man up either grow from defeat or go home. So best to you and yours I am going back to the real world.
  2. It is also good to know that the 23 still stands for your high water mark IQ wise. Plus I am always clever, resourceful, witty, handsome just to name a few. . Hopefully that money I helped you win can help with the whole Oprah Dr Phil thing. Plus unlike the Great State of Texas I really never disappoint. I like how you are using big words now i.e premise, that Readers digest increase your word power is paying off. On dang it I hope I didnt sound like an IRISH fan being mean to someone less fortunate...So now your little forum is all yours again. GOD BLESS THE IRISH AND TEXANS WHO PREFER LIVING IN THE GREAT STATE OF TENNESSEE.
  3. Rigger It is nice to see you in type, you are one of the few voices of reason on this message board. You sir are truly one of the good ones. Texas 23 it is also rewarding to know that you IQ is still the same as your log in name. It may interest you to know that the young wrestler that you feel I stole a match from turns out okay. He is Captian of the wrestling squad at West Point. He and I are way past that day. I wish a small minded person such as your self could move on. Good luck with that maybe some Dr Phil or Oprah could help you. Funny this whole thread cannot hold a candle to the threads that portrayed McCallie and Baylor as the worst sports in TN. That was some fun. I would not have even been back on the T, but for the desire to rile up all the IRISH HATERS with yet another IRISH state championship. Good night all until we win the next State Duals and Team Championships and what ever Championship we are in the Irishdad is out!
  4. I have been out of the high school wrestling picture for over four years, yet it appears that my fame still lives on. How pityful is it that people even know who I am. Good Lord get a life beyond this webpage. You should be embarassed to have an Irishdad reference of any type...move on people. With that said here is my 2 cents. First, congratulations to BELOVED IRISH FOR WINNING YET ANOTHER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. To Coach Simp great job. You always seem to find away to make our kids the best. To the small minded indviduals who feel that our parents got out of line .........grow up. Wrestling is the most intense sport in atheletics. It is all too easy to get carried away in the moment. Having first hand experience of the fine upstanding sportspersons from Baylor or McCallie I can only imagine that the parents of my Beloved Irish could not hold a candle to the unsavory language and antics they have used in the past. So to all the small minded individuals that live only through CoachT I wish you the best..like what my Beloved Irish showed all your sons this weekend..We are the best the very best. GOD BLESS THE IRISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Congratulations to Raymond Dunning for being ranked #1 in his weght class for most of the year. P.S.2 If you really have an annual Irishdad award could I please hand it out.. that would be such fun....
  5. Dear Rloser, Face to Face is a term used to describe actually speaking to some one face to face instead of by some other means IE radio, phone or computer. It does not mean to look for a squab. Pityful was mispelt on purpose to emphasis the word PITY. Closing comments, the IRISH wrestlers did not spend much time on their backs. In fact the score does not really refLect the match. If you take away the twelve points that Frank's sons scored it would not have been close. They are both very good young men and wrestlers. One advantage was older brother Patrick in attendance. That had to be a great morale booster. You all must face the fact that my beloved Irish won and still hold a 7-3 advantage in this contest. Try and spin that on all you Irish haters!!!!!!!! As, I have said in the past it is all practice till state. GOD BLESS MY BELOVED IRISH CYA IN CLARKSVILLE!!!!!!!!
  6. IRISH WIN REGIONAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/size] The Irish won a wonderful match. With MBA having to use the Simpson son boys for twelve of their points. I wonder what will happen when all of Franks Kids grow up. I would persOnally like to thumb my nose to the Stovepipeusfjimtexas23CBQ and alltheirishhaters.com folks who said such childish things about my Irish becoming a Girls School. Besause My Beloved Irish manned up tonight. Something that a minority of posters on this sight have never done and probably never will. Look for me in Clarksville I am still availible for a face to face. GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS MY BELOVED IRISH
  7. It is pretty funny that I have to get a phone call about a bunch of kids misbehavin on CoachT. Then I read the post and find out is is the same bunch of childish cowardly adults who seem to run this forum. I find it very sad that after three years all you have to talk about is an alleged mistake on my part. Pityful, just plain pityful. YOU SHOULD BE DISCUSSING THE YOUNG MEN, COACHES AND FAMILIES WHO HAVE SACRIFICED TO WORK HARD AT MAKE IT TO THE END OF THE SEASON. But this is America where your freedom of speech is protected by our Constitution. Also it is your right to act out in a forum where you hide behind the anonimity of your keyboards typing anything that comes to your challenged little minds. But I find it very interesting that I have never had any of you "posters" make it a face to face. That I would enjoy. To the Rigger and to all those whose use this forum constructively I wish you alL the best luck at state. TO MY BELOVED IRISH I WISH YOU THE VERY BEST OF LUCK AS YOU SHOW THE BIG RED EVEN WITHOUT ME AT THE CLOCK YOU WILL CLEAN THERES. GOD BLESS MY BELOVED IRISH...
  8. To my beloved IRISH......Congratulations ..on winning the Invitational it is a wonderful thing...may God Bless you and keep you safe until you win State!!! Signed The real Irishdad.....Gone but not forgetten!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Undear Lifer, This is why I am going back into retirement from this board. Your statement that my son ended up being a better wrestler than I thought he would be kinda tick me off. Over four years I have had good post and some pretty mean rude and obnoxiuos post. Some I have posted others I have recieved. All in all it is kind of childish and really a waste of space on this forum. I however, do realize that this board is one where loyalty to one school can get thet better of you. Lord knows I have been way over the edge. So Lifer if you really are a FRHS supporter I wish you the best. To the other "regulars" on the board you will have to amuse yourselves without me. As for the 1974 statement I was just being my normal wise *ss self. I was blessed to play with many fine real atheletes on that team enuf said. My son is a good kid who had never wrestled before his freshman year and was more than pivotal in winning a State Championship his Junior year. ANd yes Pat and Steven had a lot to do with it as did Brian Dunning who taught him the cradle. But the most inportant thing is he was a kid with heart. That is what makes FRHS wrestlers what the are. To quote Pat "A kid who hates to lose will always find a way to win." Good Night Good luck and God Bless My Beloved IRISH.
  10. Dear Get a Lifer If your "ties" are so close then you would know who my son is and who I am. To further clarify I have never tried to sound or write intelligently on this board. As for spelling defeat for me no need my stellar high school record was 13-0 with a State Championship. So do not know what in the heck you are reffering to. Good Luck to the Irish tonight. ID
  11. Dear Lifer, Thank you sooo much for the grammar correction. I thought this was a board for the discussion of sports not a board for geeked up scrabble players. May I please correct my statement to 'who will face my beloved IRISH"! If you look me up at the tournament maybe I can help you spell defeat in your daily crossword. This is a word we have taught many such scholars as yourself on and off the mat. Signed, The Lovable (yet grammatically challenged) IRISHDAD!!!!
  12. My Beloved Irish will be wrestling as follows: 1/3 Tuesday Clarksville @ Home 7:00 pm Birthday celebration for the Irishdad's Birthday to follow at local watering hole also prayers will be offered those those whom will face my Beloved Irish on January 7th @ the FRHS Invitational. . God bless you all and Happy New year.
  13. If memory serves me Frank only graduated one or two, one was Ben Turks @ 171, the Big Red will be very competitive this year. As for my middle weights we do have a lot of talent without much experience. Most of our graduates were in the middle weights. plus it is only practice until January, that is when it really counts. A HAPPY & SAFE NEW YEAR TO ALL
  14. Dear Dad of the young wrestler AKA RMC, My best wishes to you and yours. Best of luck to your little man. ID
  15. Dear Buckaroo of the Lateral Move, This years Irish Vs Big Red (on the H**D for my Irish bretheren, you know) will be a battle. We lost a lot of kids to graduation. But our younger wrestlers are very strong and talented. We are led by Aaron Bateman @ 171 beast enuf said, I look for our upper weights to be very strong, Lawrence, Dempsey, Riley and Garrett. At 112 look for Chaz to be Baz..he has great potential. Our middle weight are growing in experience with every match, they will be fine. We are starting several freshman that will suprise some folks with there abilities. With many old Catholic families giving us the new generation of Marchettis, Rosas, Griffiths etc we are continuing our winning traditions also. One thing that should never be overlooked is the EXCELLENT coaching staff. They have turned out some pretty good wrestlers in the past (Those who hate to lose find a way to win) . We love being GIANT KILLERS so all you alleged giants take a good look at the mat before you start cause we will be more then happy to show you the ceiling!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS MY BELOVED IRISH
  16. Dear Somewhat Correct, It is true that I have an interest in 1 MBA wrestler, John Micheal Simpson (his father & I were classmates b4 he went to the dark side). Beyond that the Big Red means nothing else to me. It would be absolutely insane to think I would or could change my allegiance from my beloved IRISH!!!!!
  17. Easy Cowboy!!. John Micheal did wrestle very well in the finals. In fact the best I have ever seen him and I have seen him once or twice. But lets not put any additional pressure on him by pre-crowning him state champ. It could also be considered a bit of a jinx "in my book". I personally think the best part of him match, ok second to the win, was his smile when he won. Followed by the hug from his dad, then running to Phillip, Patrick, William, Mark, Christine, Marie Claire, Helen, Raymond and THE WHITT (I apoligize to the SImpsons I may have left out) to recieve the same hugs and congratulations. Then running up the stands to hugs and kisses from Mimi, Papa and Tinker. The most beautiful thimg was to see a family that lives and breathes wrestling to see another champion join there ranks. OK I am going back into semi-retirement!
  18. I watched the Irish @ McCallie with several returning graudates. My only comment is that we lost seven starting seniors and we are young. I expect our seniors to show great leadership to our younger wreslters. We should do well. I believe our coaching staff to be ont of the best and will bring out the same in our wrestlers. [/u]..
  19. Dear "The Wrestler", If you know anything about this board it is that I do not hide in sheeps clothing. Their is only one IRISHDAD!!. Many love him and some hate him. But on thing is for sure he will always support his "BELOVED IRISH". Merry Chrsitmas to all and to all a good night!
  20. His dad is the youngest of the clan. Most of the family were on the football squad not wrestlers. He is s good quality athelete, I predict good things for him.
  21. I don't have a dog in this hunt anymore...but I still love my beloved Irish. I am having lots of fun following the men of West Point! and Adams College. Thanks for the good wishes for my Beloved Irish..

  23. Doubtful, as stated in earlier post I have retired. I wish your son and the whole family the best.
  24. What else is obvious is the obvious trend that Ihave started. It seems that many men young an old are shaving there domes to acquire the "Irishdad look". Remember God only made a few perfect heads the rest he put hair on.
