  1. I'm afraid Rodney and the Buffs may let out several years of frustration and revenge on the Bobcats for all those Bibb Beatdowns they have had to endure......if given the chance! /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
  2. Besides Brown. Who will we not have? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  3. Very badly for RBS! One good note - not as bad as @ Crange! /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  4. Shawn Garrett's momma and Coach Edward's wife..They REALLY get into the game! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  5. Bulldogs team speed and Athleticism too much for Commanders size. Looks like Clay County will be the team to beat in the Region this year. Early Prediction: Clay County vs Clarkrange in finals! Great job by Caleb Lynn starting in place of Brown tonite. Play like that every time you are on the floor and you will make us even harder to beat come tourney time! Dersham still needs to learn to move his feet and play good position defense instead of trying to block every shot that he can! J. Adams and B. Korth are good replacements off the bench. Joe is starting to be a real threat from the outside. Nobody in the Region can stop Shawn Garrett this year. Early leader for Double MVP! Dawgs are really fun to watch! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  6. Lady Dawgs looked very tired after tangling with Crange on Tues. The Lady Commanders stayed in the game all night by simply out hustling CCHS on rebounds and loose balls and beating them down the floor several times for easy baskets. S. Roach played quite a bit more tonite and made every minute count. A. Kirk did a good job on the inside but got into foul trouble. Rachel Burnette gets game ball tonite. She came in and gave the Lady Dawgs the spark they needed to get them thru this tough night. Her and Sydney just get better every night! CCHS Travels To Gville on Tues and Pickett County on Friday! /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />
  7. Does FCS have a "no school - no play" policy? Clay County doesn't. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  8. The Bulldogs begin a LONG road schedule away from the Dawg House (next game Jan. 16, 2009 vs RBS)! How does everyone think they will do at their first stop in Lebanon. The Commanders are always scrappy and usually play their best against CCHS. Predictions? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  9. Hopefully Clarkrange fans have made it back home safely by now. What are some of your thoughts on tonight's game? Without Ref bashing if you please? /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
  10. Clarkrange - 50....Clay County - 59 Exciting ballgame! The Buffs gave the Dawgs all they wanted tonight. We was happy to get out of there with a win. The foul trouble the Buffs got into was a big factor in the end. Clarkrange is alot more than just Upchurch. They really get after you on the defensive side of the ball as well and have some good shooters if left alone. Not seen Jackson County yet but I'm sure that will be the top 3 when it comes tournament time. I do take exception to something i heard from one of the female Clarkrange fans as I ended up sitting on the visitors side tonight. She said and I quote "BJ BUST HIM IN THE MOUTH". There is no place in high school athletics for fans to encourage players to physically harm another player no matter how upset you are over a BALLGAME. Not a life and death matter....A BALLGAME!! Cheer for your team if you want to. Cheer against your opponent if you want to. But don't EVER encourage one kid to harm another.
  11. Clarkrange 61...Clay County 41 No excuses. The Lady Dawgs definitely looked liked they had read all the press clippings concerning how good Clarkrange was. I have never seen our girls play that tight in the first half. We played liked we were scared to death. My hat is off to the Lady Buffs. They are a very talented team. Jury is still out on the BEST EVER CLARKRANGE HAS PUT ON THE FLOOR. They will be even tougher come tournament time. Heady is a good fit with them. After seeing Monterey's team this year, her talent would have been wasted. I must say I will put the Lady Dawgs bench up against the Lady Buffs bench any time you are ready. What did the Clarkrange faithful think about our next up and coming star Sydney Roach #33 (freshman)? Her defense did give the Lady Buffs fits at times. NO 75 points. NO 50 point win margin. Just a Clarkrange win.
  12. Not calling anyone an idiot but if you are referring to the previous poster, from tracking his early posts I think he could be considered a fairly "die-hard" Jackson County fan.
  13. I just hope they send out a veteran squad to do these games....Lamar really knows how to work the refs (and that is not a knock against him) but if we have a veteran crew maybe we can eliminate that "X" factor. NOT LONG TIL GAME TIME.......SAFE TRIP EVERYONE.......C YA ON THE FRONT ROW!!!!!!!!
  14. I think that it is an arguable point that the Clarkrange vs Celina/Clay County game has been a much bigger rivalry over the years than the Clarkrange vs Jackson County game has.
  15. Northface, thanks for the kudos on the stats, but coacht has to get the credit, I just put them in this thread. I don't want anyone to misunderstand my thinking. If I was a "betting man" and trust me I'm not, I would be stupid not to think that Clarkrange SHOULD win this game and probably handily. I am just reminding everyone that there has been a number of times that Clarkrange was SUPPOSED to beat the Lady Dawgs but it didn't happen. Speaking of stats, check farther back than 2001 and you'll see a certain night that I am sure Clarkrange was SUPPOSED to beat the Lady Dawgs and you will find the WORST HOME LOSS that LAMAR ever suffered at the hands of JOE SIMS and the Lady Dawgs. See Ya At The DawgHouse On Tuesday Night! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  16. Check the record books. In the last seven years, including all the tournament match-ups, Clarkrange never scored 70 points against the Lady Dawgs, let alone 75! Previous Meetings Jan. 8, 2008 at Clay Co. 22 Clarkrange 53 Dec. 4, 2007 at Clarkrange 65 Clay Co. 35 Jan. 27, 2007 at Clarkrange 65 Clay Co. 45 Dec. 5, 2006 at Clay Co. 42 Clarkrange 54 Feb. 23, 2006 at Clarkrange 69 Clay Co. 53 Jan. 10, 2006 at Clay Co. 33 Clarkrange 46 Dec. 6, 2005 at Clarkrange 68 Clay Co. 46 Feb. 24, 2005 at Clarkrange 44 Clay Co. 41 Feb. 10, 2005 at Clarkrange 47 Clay Co. 41 Dec. 7, 2004 at Clay Co. 76 Clarkrange 65 Mar. 4, 2004 at Clarkrange 33 Clay Co. 36 Feb. 27, 2004 at Clarkrange 48 Clay Co. 66 Jan. 13, 2004 at Clay Co. 50 Clarkrange 53 Dec. 9, 2003 at Clarkrange 51 Clay Co. 43 Feb. 27, 2003 at Clay Co. 63 Clarkrange 56 Jan. 14, 2003 at Clarkrange 61 Clay Co. 45 Dec. 10, 2002 at Clay Co. 64 Clarkrange 61 Feb. 22, 2002 at Clarkrange 66 Clay Co. 69 Feb. 22, 2002 at Clay Co. 69 Clarkrange 66 Feb. 8, 2002 at Clay Co. 39 Clarkrange 43 Dec. 4, 2001 at Clarkrange 48 Clay Co. 51 If CCHS loses it won't be by giving up 75 points AT HOME! Curtain0471, I believe you are going to have to revise your bold scoring prediction!
  17. You mean no more than two people have anything to say about this game?
  18. Bulldogs didn't have their best game last night against Monterey but still won by around 30 pts. Clarkrange looks like their playing good ball right now and if they handled Jackson County that well then the Dawgs had better put together a cleaner 4 quarters than they did against the Wildcats. Home court advantage goes to CCHS....Dawgs by 12!
  19. Yeah the little point guard Monterey had last year, Taylor Adkins, I believe. I understand she will probably help JC's softball team more than she does their basketball. I understand she is one heck of a pitcher!
  20. Buffy I definitely agree with you. If CCHS doesn't bring their best game on Tuesday then probably no margin of victory will surprise me! I look for this game to be almost like a regional final game atmosphere, with neither team really wanting to go on the road and but still realizing that girls basketball doesn't get much better and tougher than 7-A and 7-AA and they will get it done on the road as well. Should absolutely be a rocking gym on Tuesday the 9th!
  21. Well now that the epic battle between the two goliaths of girls basketball has been played, let's continue the season and look ahead to next Tuesday night as the Lady Buffaloes come calling to the always friendly Black/Gold and now Purple Dawg House known better as Clay County High School. Is anyone giving the Lady Dawgs a "snowballs chance" in this big district match up? I overheard someone say that they would be lucky if they came within 50 points of Crange! Beat the Lady Dawgs by 50 in their own house? Man, I can't wait to see this team! Yes I understand that Heady has made them better, and that they are very deep and they have some outstanding freshmen players as well. From what I have heard, this may be the BEST TEAM ever that Clarkrange has put on the floor, and after all has been said and done it may very well be. Several years ago, our girls finally understood you played the team and not the Gold Balls Clarkrange had won and they started winning. I just hope they go into Tuesday's game looking to play the TEAM and not the HYPE that has surrounded them so far! With that said, what does everyone else think?
  22. Too many weapons to stop and too much speed for Red Boiling Springs to contend with! Clay County gets the easy district win going away......66-36! Monterey comes to Celina on Friday night!
  23. Clay County Lady Dawgs escape the Red and Grey Dog House with an overtime win! Clay County down by 3 and Sarah Ogletree drains a three pointer from about 24 ft. at the buzzer to tie. Clay plays tough in OT and gets their first district win 66-61. RBS was shooting the lights out tonight...Larry thought he had a big win under his belt. RBS always gives CCHS fits at home no matter the teams or the records. Sydney Roach came off bench again and had another big game for CCHS! Monterey is next on Friday night in Celina.
  24. You know. when one team is playing tough defense it tends to make it appear the other team isn't doing things very well!
  25. SORRY Revolution these were GIRLS ONLY dates instead of BOYS ONLY..I guess I looked at the schedule wrong!
