  1. Halls has another tough week ahead of them. All of their games are at home this time. Remember Halls games begin at 6:00. GO TIGERS and LADY TIGERS!!! Tuesday, December 7th Crockett County Thursday, December 9th Obion County Friday, December 10th Dresden (Regional Game)
  2. Halls girls beat Middle College last night. I forgot the score, but it was a pretty good game until the fourth quarter and Halls pulled away. Kyra and Erica (new player) were the leading scorers. GO LADY TIGERS! thumb
  3. Who did they play????
  4. Congrats to Middle College. They played a great game. Halls, on the otherhand, had a very disappointing night. We didn't play good at all. It seemed like we were fatigued from the three games this week. We were shooting air balls (very unusual for us) and we had so many turnovers. Middle College has two new players that played really well. Their new point guard is a great shooter, but I think he can be stopped if you play good defense. Our defense was terrible last night. We let people go through the middle and everything. Not to make excuses because we didn't play good, but we are still nursing injuries (Paris Brown) plus we had two other away games this week. Another thing I don't understand is why CJ has Walter Tate playing wing when he dominates under the basket. I think that's why we're struggling. Walter Tate dominates the boards and he shoots well. We're use to getting second and third chances when he's under the basket, but lately its been one shot and we're back down the court. I think that's where we're messing up. We're not rebounding. Tate should be in the middle because he plays really well there. But hopefully we'll move past this loss and look ahead. You can't change the past, you can only make the future better. Oh yeah... RaySean Patrick and Walter Tate had a pretty good night offensively. GO HALLS! I'M STILL YOUR #1 FAN! thumb
  5. bballfever... You said it for yourself, "Halls did get called for a lot of touchy fouls." I agree we didn't have the best offensive night, but its probably because everytime they got into it, they called a foul. Greenfield played just as aggressive as Halls, but they didn't get called for 25 fouls (not even 8--- in the whole game)! Its really hard to block out when you've got a whistle ringing in your ear for great defensive plays. You try getting into the game when the whistle blows every other time down the court!
  6. Halls played Middleton in the jungle in the Sub-State game.
  7. Halls defeats USJ tonight with an ending score of 62-48. RaySean Patrick lead the Tigers with 27 points, Demarcus Patrick scored 13 points, and Robert Richmond scored 10 more. Halls takes on Middle College tomorrow night in a district match-up! GO TIGERS! thumb
  8. Mr. Bigster... Thanks for the wish of good luck tonight and tomorrow. Looks like we'll need it (if we have the same refs ). I meant to tell you that you were right about putting yourself in a position where the refs can't hurt you. That's always good info. I wish Lake County good luck as well (especially when they play Trenton). I feel we (Halls and Lake County) are looked at as the underdogs all the time. So we have to pep each other up before games! But I rather they lose now than to lose in the tournaments. GO HALLS! thumb
  9. jvaughn, you know that I tell the truth when I'm posting. When we lost to Lake County last year, I told everyone Lake County deserved to win. But last night was just terrible. Halls had 24 fouls compared to Greenfields 7. We never got to shoot a bonus last night. If they didn't foul us in the act of shooting, which they may have called once, we didn't get to go to the free throw line. Greenfield had 6 fouls called on them in first half, and only one was called in the WHOLE second half (and that was in the fourth quarter). All of our starting five had at least three fouls. Nobody can win a game if you're getting called for fouls everytime you block a shot or steal the ball. You should've came last night. You wouldn't be able to say what you said. I bet there wasn't a player on Greenfield's team with more than one foul. It was many that didn't have one. Again we (Halls) were without Paris Brown and Jarvis Roberts is still nursing an ankle injury as well. When we get healthy, its going to be trouble for a lot of teams. All I have to say is, come to Halls on January 31st. I'm sure they'll have a lot to prove that night.
  10. Halls had a terrible night offensively. RaySean Patrick had 20 points out of 42 points. Walter Tate had 13.Demarcus Patrick was not shooting well (5 points), and we didn't have Paris Brown due to injury. Jarvis Roberts played with an injured ankle as well. Halls didn't have the best night, but the officiating was terrible. Everytime Halls would get into the game, the refs called fouls on them. Halls had 13 fouls called on them in the second half compared to Greenfields' 1 (13-1)! Greenfield was shooting bonus with 3 minutes left in the third quarter. Greenfield got called for their only foul with four minutes left in the fourth quarter. HALLS had at least 23 or 24 fouls called on them for the whole game. Greenfield only had seven called on them for the whole game. You do the math. Sounds pretty obvious to me! And they still only beat us by three. The ending score was 45-42. All I can say is we can't wait to host GREENFIELD on JANUARY 31st. BE PREPARED BECAUSE ITS GOING TO BE NASTY! IT WON'T GO ON IN OUR HOUSE!!!!

    USJ

Has anyone heard about USJ this year. I haven't heard anything. Are they pretty good this year? Do they still have the little red headed fiesty guard?
  12. I think the polls are pretty much the same every year. The teams just have to go out and rearrange the expected polls. I think the polls will change in about a week or two. Halls doesn't play Trenton until January 7th, and we're at Lake County on January 11th. So were waiting for those matchups to rearrange the poll. I wish I could watch the Lake County vs. Trenton game on Dec. 10th, but Halls plays Dresden in Halls that night. So I'll just have to wait on the outcome. Good luck to Halls, Trenton, and Lake County on that night! thumb
  13. Besides Shane, are there any other players for Greenfield that Halls will have trouble with? When Halls are playing district, region, and rivalry games, they seem to be more into it. They turn their defense on and their offense is unbelievable. I think tonght @ Greenfield, its going to be one of those games because of the hype of last year's competition. So I think Coach Jarrett will have his guys prepared and ready for tonight. Hopefully we'll (Halls) pull out another win. They (Halls) have more offense than people give them credit for. So they'll have to prove it this year.GO TIGERS!
  14. Halls has some pretty good games this week with one being a district game, and another a regional. It should be some pretty exciting match-ups. @ Greenfield Tuesday, Nov. 30 @ USJ Thursday, Dec. 2nd @ Middle College Friday, Dec. 3rd GO TIGERS GO! thumb

    Brighton

Two words for you, BRING IT! You really don't need Strayhorn when you've got the Patrick boys, Tate, Brown, and Richmond. We'll see Jan. 11th (if we don't get robbed)!
