You know you can watch everything that was shown on TV as repeats. I have Directv and it is on channels 614 (ESPNU) and 209 (ESPN2). I saw the Brands brothers flip over a match this morning. Tonight on 614 at 11PM is the First round from this morning followed by the matches that are on right now. 9:30 tomorrow morning to can watch the Medal Round on 614. The Finals are on ESPN (206) Saturday night at 5:30. ESPN360.com (you have to register and then it is free) has a live feed. I just got it so I have not had time to explore. However it appears to have screens at the bottom that I'm guessing I can click on to watch earlier feeds.

I saw on another site that Demetrius Johnson lost 9-3 to Joey Fio from Oklahoma
  3. Bob You need to contact the Chattanooga Free Times Press. They reported about this, I think it was yesterday (maybe the day before) and they reported it much the way the first people were writing on this thread. TJ called me upset about how it (Jackson) made the school he is from look. I told him to not be so quick to jump on that bandwagon. I knew there had to be a reason IF Jackson had behaved poorly. He is such a great kid.
  4. My son is wrestling in that tournament as well. He is at UTC. Not sure how many of the guys are going. My son is TJ Hannah (Bolton HS) UTC
  5. So who's gonna be there? I'll start, my husband and oldest son, Tim and TJ (supporting our MOCS), are going along with our chiropractor, Dr. Jim. I believe the coach from my son's HS is going. I will be a TV/internet fan/maniac at home.
  6. In the past we were able to have the wrestlers bring in food through the bottom doors. I saw (in advance of the tournament) the announcement that food/drinks could not be carried in by anyone. Every year we went you could not bring in food as a parent, because of the screening. They do check all the bags. However my hubby wears pants with large knee pockets and hoodies with kangaroo pockets...... I have never really bought more then maybe a drink or two (that would be for me. hubby, & youngest to share) and maybe we have bought a candy once or twice over teh years. However we really do not eat at the tournament. If I was hungry and could not wait I would go over to the student food court thing and get something, however I do not think we have had to do that more then a couple times over the years. One year I did buy my youngest a large candy (movie size M&Ms) and of course after buying them he did not eat them. Well I did carry them in my purse and when they saw it at the next session I pointed to the card table behind them where I bought it and told them it came from there. I got in with it (and there was more in my purse but they did not notice). If you pack enough bags in bags they really stop looking after awhile. Of course not many of you have to carry in a big backpack full of bags of different toys, video games, puzzle books, & army men to occupy a boy so we could watch the matches.
  7. I'm sure you have been made aware, but for those looking online, @ 171 it is Derek Conely. David graduated a couple years ago. Thanks for posting. We may try to come out today to see what happens.
  8. Since we no longer have a HS wrestler (just college and now international--Riley wrestled in South Korea) we have only kept up with the results we can find online. We are hoping to get to go to Regions, since it is around the corner from the house, and I was wondering who is going? What are going to be some potentially great match-ups, don't miss matches? The board has been pretty quite about Region 10. Last year there were predictions all year just for our Region. Anyway, we would appreciate any info. Good luck to everyone! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. Shawn Cordell, Zach Friedman, Michael Marable, Pete Miller, Mark Nicely, are the ones I remember. Some I do not know why, some I know had other commitments that were more pressing for their future.
  10. He was not at the tournament. My son asked about him, West Tennessee spirit and all- they wrestled aganist each other and knew each other, anyway he asked some off the guys on the team and they said he quit. I think he may have burned out and maybe he is just taking some time off. His teammates told my son he was not wrestling, I'm not leaving you hanging that is all I know. As for being listed on the website, there are several guys listed on the UTC website who have quit the team, so that is not an indicator. Website roster updates are not a high priority in a busy coaches life.
  11. Get with your school to see what if any requirements they may have first. Another club, sport, cultural arts boosters could help you as well. The local PTA could also help, bylaws, treasurer records, fundraisers, legalities. That is all a part of National PTA, to educate parents in these (and of course other) areas.
  12. Congrats to all the guys!! I know how hard you work everyday and I am very proud of you all. Also appreciate all the coaches are doing with this team. Chris, Nate, and Izzy, ya'll are wonderful, so positive and so driven. You have made a mark and let the guys know that they can compete on any level. Keep up the hard work, all of you.
  13. We were told that Brandon is no longer wrestling.
  14. He looked a little nervous to me, first official match and all, he will do better in the future. He can wrestle better then he did in this match. However I am always VERY PROUD of my boys. He did very well in my book. Thanks.
  15. I was there! It was the most exciting match I have been to. What an awesome experience, being there. The energy was so high in that gym. The guys looked great. I am so proud of all the guys on our team. Great job to the coaches as well. You could see the positive energy coming from them. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Double this with getting a call from our other son stationed in Korea during the match = super great weekend!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. We had a boy get Staph infection, not my family- our old HS team. It was from another schools mat at a two day tournament. Everyone thought he just had a bad black eye. However it swelled and his mom carried him to the ER and he had staph on/around his eye. He was out for the rest of the season, oh yeah, the tournament was one of the first of the season. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> I know a lot of school clean their mats, I see them before tournaments and matches. However they clean them wrong. What good does it do to push a mop in front of you while wearing your sneakers that you wear outside? Why are kids wearing their wrestling shoes outside? I know of one private school that did not clean their mats all year until half their wrestlers got ringworm, THEN they cleaned their mats!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> I'm sure those parents assume that all their money is covering a clean mat.
  17. I heard that Zach Heardon is not at Bolton this year. (That is what my husband was told.)
  18. Whatever you call what we do during the school season. My boys always get mad at me for not remembering the names. I just know what I do and don't like. I do not like the one where you throw people across the mat, scary for mom. I do not like the one where you try to lay on your belly, what's the point? I prefer mid to lower weights with constant action, NO stalling.
  19. Our coach is the worst about getting dates to me correctly, however he MAY not have known about the other tournament. I'm very glad that I posted the on here as I had no idea what the date was for the germantown tournament. Now can anyone tell me how to correct/change the topic title? I do not see anyway other then adding a new topic. Ya'll know I'm blond and Polish and can't help myself sometimes. I have truly turned into my mother. (Bless her heart.)
  20. Coach e-mailed me back and he is able to change the date of the tournament to April 14. My oldest did not want everyone to know about his injury. However now that it is healed, and everyone saw him at practice, I guess I will not get in too much trouble telling about what happened. On Jan.1 during afternoon practice he was wrestling with Josh Keefe and Josh's heel hit my son in the eye. I do not see how that happened, but it did. He had a concussion adn a broken eye socket. He had to refrain from all exercise for a couple of weeks as any blood building up in his face could cause pressure on teh break and cause it to become larger. He was told that he was extremely lucky. WebMD agrees. He does not like the mask however at least he is able to get back on the mat if he wears it. He is awaiting Dr.s clearance to remove the mask. Thanks for reminding me as I have not yet fussed at Josh for hurting my baby's pretty face(HAHAHA). Josh is a great guy and we think highly of him.
  21. The only date the AD at school had open was the 31st. I went back and fixed the original post, and I e-mailed Coach to tell him about the conflict. 22. Bolton High School will be hosting the NHSCA State Qualifier Tournament on April 14, 2007. Placing at this tournament qualifies you for the National tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC on June 16-19, 2007. This is open to all age groups. I forget how young they start at Nationals (4th grade?) but we start with grade K, I believe, and go through college/open division. On June 16 they will hold a Beach wrestling tournament that you do not have to qualifyto enter. Info. about the national and beach touranments can be found at www.nhsca.com I will post more info. when it is sent to me. Edited, Date change. Could someone tell me how to edit the topic line? (Blonde and Polish, what else can I say)
