  1. I think Mike announced himself as new head coach. Kind of like a new "grand opening" for a store that has been open for two years.
  2. Let the bands Play..... They have worked just as hard as everyone else.
  3. Was it that guy who filled in for David from Ravenwood last year who complained?
  4. Looks like CJ will enroll at Southside High in Atlanta. Who Knows the real reason WHY.
  5. Coach Springer is an excellent coach that worked hard with this team. I expect big things from Ravenwood in the next couple of years.
  6. Ryan does bring it upon himself but the real losers of the situation are the rest of his teammates. They have been taught to play with him and to be a big part of the system. When a team or ref is gunning for you, his teammates need to adjust and learn to play through it.
  7. Cobrafan-Brentwood Academy beat Gra-Mar twice this year. I guess the starter of this thread should have said Williamson County. I am sure he is deeply sorry for teasing you into thinking that this thread is about Metro Middle teams.
  8. Way to go Coach Bishop and the Vikings. If you have seen BA play they have an outstanding 7th grade player who goes 6'1 and is ATHLETIC. But the best 7th grader around may be over at CPA. 6'4 and can do it all. No one talks about him because CPA makes you play on your grade level team. (No 7th graders on the 8th grade team.)
  9. I think that it not the fans bothering him but the refs. I'm sure its tough to have a target on your back by both the opposing team and the refs. The good old days are one when the refs "protect " the teams best player. It seems just to be the opposite. The refs wanting to prove a point that they can dictate the game by calling silly fouls on the "star" player just to show how big and bad they can be. Any thoughts?
  10. Need some info on Pickett Middle? Anyone info that can help would be great.
  11. First of all King didn't resign because of griping parents. After 31 years as a head coach at two different schools, he certainly could handle the occasional carping, delusional parent. The current coach is battling four obstacles: 1. putting in a brand new system 2. key players starting three weeks late because of football 3. no point guard 4. a very tough district with most teams being in an "up" cycle. Give the guy a chance. My guess is that by tournament time the Bruins will be making some noise.
  12. Rumor has it that this game is a must win for the mustangs or Roller might come out of his third retirement to save the 'stangs.
  13. Hang tight - Change is always tough. New System. Good Luck Bruins.
