Who won this tournament?

Congrats to all Region 7 teams. Along with Antioch, Glencliff, Hunters Lane and Hume Foggs performances at the Beech Duals. East Literature adds a Championship win at the Dickson Duals by going 5-0 and defeating Brentwood Academy in the Finals. As a side note East Lit. was without there regular starting 130, 140, 160 & 189. These replacements wrestled so hard, East Lit. didn't miss a beat. I'm proud of these boys and I'm sure the coaches are too.

I stand corrected. That makes my case even more because it shows that Region 7 is just as tough and can compete with the other Regions.

I tired of people talking about how weak Region 7 is. This Region might not have a Clarksville or a Bradley Central but, from top to bottom Region 7 is as strong if not stronger than Region 5, 8 & 9. There were alot of Region 8 teams at the McGavock tourney last year and Antioch and Glencliff finished 2 & 3 behind Arab. Hendersonville won their own tourney but East Lit was one match from winning and Glencliff was not far behind. Region 6 is tough, but head to head the top three in Region 7 can compete with Region 6. This my opinion and thats how I see it.

I know Antioch will be alot stronger in February. Good Luck at McGavock, I hope yall come out 1 or 2.

Good match last night between three team that should battle for the Region title in February. All three had starters that didn't wrestle or didn't make weight yesterday. These are the team scores, I don't have individual results. Antioch def Glencliff 42-27 East Lit. def Antioch 58-23 East Lit. def Glencliff 38-37 (tie breaker criteria F) Region dual should be interesting.

Congrats to Antioch and Glencliff, BA is supposed to be on of the top Div II teams this year. I am glad to see metro teams go toe to toe with those teams. Good luck to all three team on tuesdays match, to Antioch and Glencliff at the McGavock Inv. and to East Lit at the Fultondale Inv in Birmingham, AL. P.S. Do you have the place winners from the Harpeth tourney?

According to Garrett, he is going to be at 140. I also heard Aguilar (East Lit) is going to be at 112. East Lit team should be good. They should fly under the radar until mid January. Glencliff should be the team to beat. I think Antioch will have their number in the dual, but Glencliff always peak at region.

I am just trying to get some clarification about the TWF league card/USAW National card. Will the TWF league card be honored at freestyle/greco events or will each wrestle have to buy the USAW national card?

Who is planning on going to this event? There is an AAU tourney in Cookeville and another tourney in Clarksville this weekend also. I am trying to get a feel on where the most competitor are wrestling this saturday.

He is trying to make 189. If he doen't, he will be a small 215. I heard Antioch & Glencliff had some people drop down a weight class?

Due to Coaching problems, they only have two wrestlers (135 & 189) this year, but two pretty good wrestlers.

Why is Region 7 running a two day tournament with only 9 teams? One of which, Stratford only has two wrestlers. This region can be done in one day without running into the 5 match rule, since only two weights would have more than 8 in a bracket.

Last night, White def Booker by Tech Fall. Although I dont think it will happen again.

A/AA (Small Schools sectional duals), weigh-in at 4:30p, wrestle at 5:30p FRA (1st reg 6) vs. MLK (2nd reg 7) East Lit (1st reg 7) vs. David Lipscomb (2nd reg 6) FRA - Last years AA dual state runner-ups. Lost to MLK early in the season, but are much better now. East Lit - Only three dual loses (Glencliff, Franklin & Brentwood). Young team with only three upper classmen, the rest Soph & Frosh. This should be good.

Sounds like this was a great match, but I am surprised by the 140 & 145 results. Mintlow is a good kid, but didn't think he would beat Osatile. Derek White tech falling Booker! I am speechless. I knew on a good day he could win, but tech fall. The individual region is going to be real interesting.

The AAU web site has this tournament scheduled for Feb. 10th. Which date is correct?
