Oh i know my friend, I was being humorous when I said "Improved at what" lol... Anyway you were right on the outcome of the west-jc game. West just has too much team speed, especially at the top of the order. The left side of their infield is stout with the glove as well, of course with pnut over there it's going to be. Jefferson County better play better in their next conference game or that one could be worse.

Improved at what? When this one is said and done, you may prove to be right on the outcome, however I wouldn't say Jeff County is looking for the best pitcher. The new coach has in mind who she wants to pitch against who.

I thought Helton pitched an excellent game tonight, and the defense was outstanding behind her. The greeneville coach kept telling his team after every at-bat "Don't worry, we're going to start hitting her before its over." They never did lol. The offense was the best its been yet. Every batter except Smith and Tucker had multiple hits, and those two are usually Jefferson County's most reliable hitters. Johnson (senior) and Dukes (freshman) were both 3-for-3.

No, at the end of the story LADY RED GET EVEN While the Big Red were taking on the Patriots at Cocke County Field, just across the left field fence were the Lady Red hosting Seymour at Lady Red Field. While the Big Red couldn??™t find any luck of the Irish, the Lady Red did, beating Seymour 2-1. The Lady Red scoring came in the sixth inning when Kendra Walker doubled to center. Kelli Wyrick then doubled to right, bring home Walker. Following a pop out to third, an error allowed Wyrick to score the winning run. Lady Red starter Nicole Ball went four innings, giving up no runs. She had two strikeouts and three walks. Wyrick came on the handle the final three innings, giving up one run while striking out two and walking two. With the victory, the Lady Red evened their record at 2-2. It??™s now on to Inter Mountain Athletic Conference play for the Lady Red as they host highly touted Morristown West in a single game this afternoon at Lady Red Field. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.

Hill looked better on the mound tonight. You could tell last week she had had a layoff. Gave up a hit to the leadoff batter, which eventually scored. Seymour made contact in the first inning but struggle with her the rest of the way. Jefferson County made contact throughout the game, but not solid and not in the right spots. Seymour played good defense as well though. Cayla Johnson took over third base for this game for JCHS and was solid after a couple of first inning bobbles. Interesting game Thursday at Morristown West, should tell some about both teams, not to overlook Greeneville tomorrow though.

King, The red head is Rachel Tucker, she plays left....center is Haley Taylor, a freshman....right is Jessie Smith. Heather West hasn't been starting, she missed some games or something. I agree, good player though.

I don't think MTW would lie, and I don't know why JC keeps referring to junior pitcher, her name is Ashley Earl.

    Welcome to the big show /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  12. I'm gonna go against RR and say the home team wins all three games ... I don't have that crystal ball he is drinking ... err, I mean looking into. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  14. 1-2 again, I think I better quick with the prognostications for the year
  15. No stats in front of me from the Jeff/East game Haley Nelson was the difference in the game for Jeff. 20 or so over her 29 points came from the fourth on I think. She hit two free throws with a second or two left on the clock to force OT, then hit a 3pointer from several feet behind the arc to force the second one. East hit a three at the buzzer to force the third. 64 fouls in the game, 92 free throw attempts. I dont remember about east, but Jeff County had five girls foul out, including Potts and Elliott in the fourth quarter. Finished the game with three fresh and a soph on the court
  16. I'm not gonna go out on a limb, so ill take the three winners from Thursday - West, East and Greeneville
  17. Good post, except Karns is probably one of the worst teams JC will play all season
  18. As of right now, 2008 practice starts on January 21 with a scrimmage against Maryville on February 9. Not sure if that will interfere with baseball preseason, if so that will include McFall to name one, and probably some of the guys that were on the freshman football team this year.

  20. As far as basketball, Tyler Stepp is the only one I can think of and who knows if he will play next year. Looking at the wrestling roster, the ones that jump out are Colin Bradley, Ryan Yamamoto, Chris Roth and Dustin Whitt (don't remember if he was a senior or junior right off hand)

  22. There's a couple of them in every crowd barb ... there is some bitterness among a few that coach potts is no longer the girls coach at JCHS, so they take it out on the new guy in town.
  23. I'm leaving for Vegas next Sunday, guess I better stay out of the sports books. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  24. Just to be somewhere in the middle, I'll take Cherokee, Jefferson and Greeneville, with the Jefferson/West game the only pick that concerns me.
  25. If Jefferson County could play South Doyle every night ...... /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" /> JCHS 15 18 17 15 - 65 SD 8 8 11 9 - 36 JEFFERSON COUNTY (65) - Haley Nelson 18, Laura Potts 10, Taylor Brooks 8, Whitney Kyle 8, Lauren Lyke 5, Lacy Miller 4, Dezarae Huff 2, Katisha Mattison 4, Jordan Batey 3, Chelsea Whiteside 2, Raven Wheeler 1.
