  1. looks like the run for three was not to be... top 7 houston 12 farragut 0
  2. Top 3rd Houston winning 9-0 - Matt Ramsey started the game, then Mikey Joseph, now Philip Heyming is pitching - Sorry no better details - Houston is the visitors Farragut the home team
  3. well there you go a rematch from the first round of the 2003 state tournament - farragut vs houston - that was one of the best high school games with two quality teams, great pitchers, and the best atmosphere I've ever seen with a couple thousand in attendance over at Gagliano i believe - Good luck to the Admirals!
  4. sniff im smelling a slight wiff of bitterness there - I am not promoting him as coach of the year I don't believe he earned it but to the seniors issue - that would be due to the poor decisions made by some and i don't know what issues may be more personal to you
  5. STATEment04 does not play baseball for Farragut nor attend Farragut High School
  6. Just to clear things up I'm assuming that by saying they were "bad" you meant really good? Because the facts you gave afterwards doesn't support them being a bad (not-good) team.

  8. Not necessary but I'll second that for you! South Doyle has a great amount of talent and can do a lot of damage and assuming no injuries and a good bounce here and there I can see them going quite far just purely on talent.
  9. First off, you are way out of line for referring to Tony's dad and his job. That is something that you have no right to say and is very classless. I doubt Delmonico wastes his time by getting on here and reading, however please, think about it if it was your dad. The kids of college coaches have to hear a lot about their parents through the media and talk radio...lay off, and actually if you've paid attention the Vols if they keep producing have a chance to do quite well. Second, no he is not a better shortstop than Farragut's (18 year old Delmonico - Which is not that rare as a Junior anymore). I have seen both play and will say that Zurcher is a solid high school shortstop. However, Tony Delmonico has made me say "Wow" the few times I have seen him play. The kid is polished defensively and can hit a baseball that's for sure, he's a D-I talent and don't knock him for being talented and having an opportunity many high school baseball players would love to have. Regardless if his dad is the coach, that kid would be playing D-1 or professional baseball once his high school career ended (happening to be a year early). Finally one observation I have made. There are a lot of posts on this thread by people with 1 or very few posts, having just made accounts and talking for South Doyle. Something I've noticed over the past few years is that Farragut kids don't get on here and run their mouths and talk about how good they are; they go play the game and let that speak for itself (Statement04 has his comments I will say). I think that is something all of you South Doyle players should take a lesson from. Congratulations on your win, but a humble winner is someone respected by all more than a boastful one. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.
  10. Post any results from games here so we all know what's going on!
  11. Why don't you figure that one out Grad...you seem to know it all
  12. Statement...maybe that scouting report was for 2005...he was just looking a year ahead...
  13. The catcher, Scott Hawkins better work on his attitude. I watched one of the scouts at the game and after he blew up a little bit after a play at the plate and really "showed himself." the scout took note of that and left the ballpark. One of the biggest things for young players to learn is to control their emotions and play the game...you can have a lot of talent but a poor attitude and lack of self-control is a big turn off to scouts and coaches.
  14. Collierville defeated Farragut 7-4 at Farragut today. The Dragons came out with the bats swinging and knocked out Farragut's starter in the 4th. The pitcher for Collierville went the distance pitching a great game. Farragut did not hit the ball nearly as well as I have seen them hit in the past. The hit column was utterly dominated by Collierville. I'm not sure what # in the rotation Farragut's pitcher was but they could use more depth; that will happen with a young team that had a great staff of seniors that graduated not only on the mound but at the plate. Looks like Collierville came out to Knoxville to show the teams that had receieved a lot of pre-season praise (Halls, Farragut) that West TN was ready! And South-Doyle by beating Collierville showing Halls and Farragut that they aren't the only teams in Knoxville that know how to play some baseball. Another note: Tony Delmonico and Riley Jennings turned the best double play you will ever see in a high school baseball game. Delmonico fielded the ball BEHIND second base going towards right field, flipped the ball backwards to second while running and then the smooth turn by Jennings....it was PRETTY...very Vizquel-like...WEB GEM! He's ready for college ball defensively for sure!
