  1. I wanna schedule a race
  2. What did the all-district teams look like this year? And who got the player of the year awards?
  3. Shelbyville seems to be the best team in the district this year, but Columbia will be tough to beat at home. Columbia has lost to Shelbyville the last two years and will be looking to turn this around and hopefully come away from this game injury-free. The last two times these two met in the regular season Columbia has had players seriously injured. A year ago there was a serious head injury and two years ago a dislocated ankle...Columbia 2-1 at home
  4. Most of Columbia's players have been starting or playing considerably for the last two years now so I will be disappointed if they fail come out on top of the district.
  5. Who is hosting the later rounds?
  6. I know they are definitely capable of beating anyone in their district because they have a lot of good players. I think they have only recently started to play well. I was just unsure about the score because my schedule says the game wasn't even until 7...
  7. Is the Coacht scoreboard correct? Did Columbia really beat Shelbyville 2-0 tonight?
  8. Columbia should be pretty solid this year after what you could call a rebuilding year last year. After losing one to injury last year, they really only had two seniors that made an impact. The majority of the starters were freshman and sophmores that all have a year of experience under their belts now.
  9. yeah they played good defense...they had like 8 guys packed in the box and one up top.
  10. ha such an honorable student should know how to spell "semester". J/K man I'm sure it was a typo.
  11. Sowell from Columbia. I dont see how he got it, he only played two district games, then dislocated his ankle against Shelbyville.
  12. You do realize that District 8 had two MVP'S this year right? Past years they have had one, but they had an offensive and defensive one this year.
  13. Columbia was done wrongly in the shootout. The game was officiated very well. In the shootout Columbia's keeper did an outstanding job, blocking each of Coffee County's first four shots. However, each of these four players got to shoot again because the keeper " came off his line." I could see you making this call once, maybe twice, but to do it continuously when there isn't even a line of paint across the goal line, just dirt, well that is just cold hearted. After the first time he was called the keeper stepped back in the goal to make sure this did not happen agian, but it did apparently. Columbia played their best game of the year since losing their sweeper and they did not deserve to lose this game for such a reason.
  14. Mueller I think I remember you from over the years. I was wondering why I didnt see you when you played Columbia a few weeks ago but then I found out what had happened. I wasnt playing either because I got hurt against Shelbyville the game before. Im glad you got everything worked out so you can play again because it stinks not being able to play anymore.
  15. Columbia's sweeper scored on a header on a corner kick against Franklin County. He had to get up to the cross bar to get a head on it and he landed in the goal along with the ball. Maybe not a spectacular goal, just an athletic move to show off some hops.
  16. After an injury to Columbia's senior sweeper last week, they are left with an enitre back line of freshman and sophmores who are all pretty talented. They are gaining a lot of experience this year so in a year or two they will be very good.
  17. the scoreboard says 0-0. This is very surprising to me. If that's true it sounds like the district could be interesting this year.
  18. I don't think Columbia Academy played Knox Webb. They played Webb bell buckle or something like that and I saw in the paper the score was 4-0 CA.
  19. My team scrimmaged Blackman Saturday and our coach talked to Vice and he told him that he had about 25 freshman try out or something.....that is unreal. That is about all we had try out in all grades.
  20. Blackman did not win the region in 2003. They were put out by Columbia in the first round of region and they won it that year.
  21. wow...didn't you just start that sentence with "and". I don't think anyone cares how their grammar is on here.
  22. I definitly agree with that statement and I think coach will figure that out as well and fix it as preseason goes along.
  23. I agree with your earlier analysis of the game. FRA had more chances, and Columbia's midfield was nonexistant. But I don't think that was because the loss of the winger that hurt his head. After the defensive mid hurt his foot Columbia won no more 50-50 balls. Columbia had some problems with their lineup and though they are young I think they can surprise some teams once they get the proper lineup worked out because the younger guys should be playing over most of the seniors. I know it was the first scrimmage of the year, but I was not impressed with FRA this year as I was when we played them in a scrimmage about this same time two years ago.
  24. I don't think that had much to do with the midfield problems.
  25. Bentley and Carson are both looking very promising for Columbia this year. They will definitley be seeing lots of playing time and may even be starting because we lost 8 senior starters last year. This team is very young this year.
