  1. Don't forget Baseball, Wrestling, Track, Cross Country and all the other Sports our kids kick butt in. thumb thumb
  2. We have a few! Scott Dix-140 range Justin Knox-170 range And a second year wrestler who we feel can make an impact this year Nick Reveiz(190 range), son of former UT and Pro kicker Fuad Reveiz. He's strong, quick and very aggressive. He came in second in the Region with only about 3 weeks of wrestling under his belt. It's going to be a fun year.
  3. He needs to ge his head ready for State. We all know he can do even better!
  4. That's a little high. Farragut has some of the best linebackers in the State. thumb I think the Score will be close. Their offense can move the ball but can't punch it in. Since this is their best season in years, I hope the Coach doesn't back off and figure his job is safe now.
  5. It's Coaching! thumb I was at a High School that had only won 1 game in 10 years. Everyone always said our school had great talent but we couldn’t win. They finally fired the head Coach and the new Coach turned everything around with the same kids that had been winless the season before. Everyone had us, as their homecoming game opponent. We won every game that we were scheduled as the homecoming opponent. When Farragut had Carson Newman’s Coach they were one of the top teams in the State. Since he left Farragut went down and Carson Newman has won a few National Championships. Again, it's COACHING.
  6. The football team draws from the same School population and in the past it hasn't been a winner. It's the coaching that helps win Championships. There are other sports at Farragut that win but don’t have as many kids come out. They come out in the large numbers because of Kelly.
  7. I know, I lost my head. But it's like saying Lance Armstrong is good and not knowing the rest of the story.
  8. I've seen on some other threads that Ryan might have lost his Scholarship to UK. Is this true? My son played Middle School ball with Ryan before we moved to Kingsport.
  9. Having large Father Ryan families help! thumb
  10. What happens when kids move in to the School or come out after the start of the season who have not been certified.
  11. I guess injuries have nothing to do with CC. (PS they have a few!) As I said, wait for the Results from State. Also, Check Julie Ann’s times compared to last year. As a junior she didn't get to go to State Because of her times, but has stepped up this year to be one of our top runners. thumb Kelly has produced the best win record in E. TN over the last 10 years. West has produced some individual State Champions but the Individual and team Champions belong to her( Boys and Girls Teams). When the Boys Won State They were ranke in the top 10 in the Country. I think the number's speak for theirself and they way her team loves her say's it all. The Webb Boys are doing great but the record is not the same for their Boys and girls. If most coaches had to deal with the physical problems she has, most wouldn't have the courage to get out of bed much less coach State Champions.
  12. She was very disappointed. It is the first time as a coach that one of her teams (Girls/boys) did not take first place. Of course a 2 point differance isn't what I call out Coached Rememer her boys only finished third in the Region last year and ended up in the top 10 in the State. She dosn't get out coached. Second in the KIL isn't chop liver. We will see what happens at the end of the season.
  13. Come on Farragut fans what is the real deal?
  14. I was at the Antioch game last week and it was a great High School game to watch. I watched Oak Ridge and Farragut tonight, I don't think your team can compete at that level. They are big and fast and no last minite fumbles to change the game. But good luck you have a great school and good people.
  15. Farragut was in the Red Zone 6 times. Gave it away 3 times, 2 field goals and one touchdown. OR got the ball at mid field most of the night. I think farragut's total yards gained will be higher than OR. But they are one of the best hitting teams I've seen this year. Farragut was in their backfield and had a couple of QB sacks and - yard stops on their backs.
  16. Don't feel bad fella's wait until U hit your 40's. I had to go up stairs and get my son's scrap book to make sure I was telling the facts. Good Job Owls. Watch out for the pit. Cats can get mean in thier back yard.
  17. Great reply! There was some really good hits on both sides but I think OR had the best hits of the night.
  18. Get a grip! Farragut was in the Red Zone 6 times tonight. They beat themselfs. It could easly been 24-21 Farragut. But OR played hard and hit hard and brought a great crowd.
  19. Every Team has to stand on it's own and former Principle just didn't care. The kids and parents like to see some coverage when they excell! Yes, our two Coaches who are still in Collage do a great job. thumb
  20. Delmonte Bolden 8th grade year at Brown, I think 1999. They went undefeated and beat everyone by an average of 21 points a game. Look it up. I think they beat Hunter 40 something. The samething happened in Basket ball with Bolden and Big Ryan.
  21. Farragut has been 6 time KIL, and Regional/Dual Champions. During that time we have had 4 Coaches. We get no coverage from our Knoxville press and have not had support from our School but our program keeps on winning. I don't think any other program in the State has went through the same Coaching changes and wins. We are proud that we can over come the problems of the past and have the goal to be # 1.
