  1. haha, naw i'm kool. i jsut don't appreciate people who automatically assume you are bashing their team because you ask a question. I've seen it alot lately and i think that his/her post just put me over the edge so i said sumthin. but thanx for the advice
  2. Dude, don't take everything so freakin personal. he was asking about the game, and even said he was simply asking. He goes to a ton of games, not just temple games, as do/did alot of us. It's something people who enjoy sports do... No-one said that temple couldn't have made it worse... no-one is challenging your man-hood by asking a question about the game, so chill out! If it was sumone who is constantly talkin stupidness and starting crap then i can see you gettin defensive, but come on, RAW hasn't ever said anythin bad about anyone that wasn't FACT. Anything else is his opinion, which he is entitled to last time i checked. If you don't like that then don't read his comments.
  3. I agree with alot of what you have to say, but here's my issue. All I can say is based on what I know, and all I know is the four years I was at Grace... I'm not sure the word "kill" is accurate in my four years. In my freshman and sophmore years there was an obvious talent gap, but Temple was the best A team in the state. Also, those years CCS was quite a good team. With teams like those in your district and region, it's tough for anyone to get to a sub-state game. But we still played both teams relatively tough. Temple was better than us, but the games were never blowouts, from what I remember. 10-15 range, maybe I'm wrong. My jr year Grace's team was just as good as Temple I thought. 2 of the 4 games went into overtime and the teams split those. Temple won the other two games, but in the last minutes the point spread was 5-10 point. Free throws and execution pulled it out, good teams do that, so well done. This year, Grace has MUCH MORE individual talent. Temple may have a good TEAM, but individually there is no comparison. Temple has one consistent threat to score at all times, Grace has 5. Remember Davis, Jeffrey and Nick started on the team that won silver, and Dilts saw big minutes every game. Next year there will be a drop off in talent for Grace, but Carter and Tarrel (sp) will still be there. Those two might be the best players to come through Grace ever. So I don't think that the team will just go down the drain after this year. It WILL suffer, but not die. The program may not have experienced as much big-time success as Temple, but in no way was is it a one year thing. I think Temple will also experience a talent drop off next year, not as much as Grace, but still a drop. Another thing you have to take into account is Temple's family history. Skogens/Wadleys have dominated Temple basketball for the past 4-6 years. Before then was Temple the program we know today? I have no idea so if you know, fill me in. Like I said, all I know is my opinion on my four years and this one. If it's factually different then let me know. Also, let me know about the Temple program before Skogen/Wadley era. Abe- I don't think anythin but a gold ball will satify those guys. Beating Temple along the way would a HUGE plus for them and the fans, but ask anyone on that team. They would trade 4 losses to Temple for a gold ball if it came down to it...
  4. I did, and I still think it was stupid to do it. Degrading another team like this is just plain stupid... even if it is a joke
  5. This is stupid, why did you actually do it?
  6. WHOA... There is gunna be more then CSAS/ Grace games this year? hahaha Are you referring to our friends from Highland Park... I will be there too... no matter what is goin on!
  7. We knew Skogen would put up big numbers, but Adam and Dee did well tonight it would seem. They will need that night in and night out I think, for Temple to be consistent. Good win guys!
  8. does that mean we can't post in it. if so I've broken so many rules...
  9. hahaha... sew me has tree tipus an mizpeld da werd... I love CoachT... so full of love... Aw, that's no fun, where'd your post go?
  10. Now, to the game. I didn't get to go to this one, even tho I would have liked to. All I've seen so far is CSAS players/fans/'rent whatever you are, make excuses for the loss. Granted at times, there are excuses, sumone doesn't play a good game its understandable, but to lose by 23 to a team they feel they should beat easily, everyone on their team must have had an excuse. Either way it's over. Next time may be a better indication of CSAS's "real" team, but for now, we will go with what is FACT. Also, recognize that Grace will too have been playin ball for another month and will no doubt be fixing problem areas and addressing weaknenesses. It will be fun to go over to CSAS for the next one, and see what all the hype is about. 'Till then we will say Grace is the better team, because they proved it tonight, in emphatic fashion. OH here's a fun game, for every dunk Carter missed we will give CSAS 5 points... so Carter missed 2... that still means Grace wins by 13...
  11. haha I work in retail, so I recognize people who are stupid easily. By stupid I mean people lacking or lacking the ability to use, common sence. 500 posts acummulated over 3 years of Highschool and so far in college, in various sports, is not really considered a lot. Lots of people don't pay the fee or whatever cause they don't want to or don't feel the need, but they have 3,000 posts... why not call them out on it? Now, I have no problem supporting a web-site that I would use on a daily basis, and be a bigger part of (ie admin. possitions). So before you go so far as to judge my character on my desire to pay CoachT to be a plus memember... think about my definition of stupid.
  12. no-one was offended, we were just tryin to clear up your statement. We both said CSAS has better athletes, but basketball talent was what we were talking about. Goodness, that too was an inside joke... but ok
  13. Was it not true that in earlier years Temple had much more talent then Grace did? But it was still a rivalry and the games were good, but Temple prevailed. My opinion is that it is switched this year... if that offends you I'm sorry.
  14. You would... christmas break it needs to happen
  15. that definition does not define "talent"... it defines "athletic" talent is raw ability to do somthing, without being taught... Anyone ever heard me say I hate stupid people before...? Some people just should not talk...
  16. You would be suprised how much that guy knows about Grace athletics, but lets not get into that. I think he's right actually, but I also agree with your point. There is a great rivalry, but I think the games will be a little more lob-sided then you think. In '03 they were all very even. Last year they were even, except the first one. I think this years games will look alot like the games from before '03. One team will have more talent, and one will rely more on desire. While Temple has some good players, I think the tables have turned on them this year. They are used to having superior skill to Grace, but not this year. The roles have been reversed, I think that they will be good games, but Grace's talent will be a bit too much in the end.
  17. OOH.. the word for the day lets hear it!
  18. I would, but I just found out I have our Christmas Banquet at 6:45... dadgumit girls who ask you when you have plans and you feel bad telling them no...
  19. It has to be the age that adds so much maturity, one day we hope to all be like you oh wise one...
  20. I think this has a potential to be a good game, but we will have to see. You goin on Friday to CSAS? I'll be there!
