  1. I have seen Nori/kenwood in two play day games and in the regular season against cheatham county an dickson county... most games were close and Nori impressed me in all of them... he can hit the open shot, bbut he can also create.... Alsmiller/ CPA ooks really good as he is fortunate for everyone on the opposing team to help down on blackwell and lindsay... thus getting many open looks... i have seen him in two play day games and two reg season games against East and Ensworth... if they were in a three point comp with open looks i would take alsmiller... Saunders/Ccchs is smaller version of Nori but can not shoot quite as good as nori or alsmiller... seen multiple games Brentwood kid/brentood... seen them play once, but i failed to notice him... he may have been out... they have a great coach by the way...
  2. I have seen about everyone mentioned on this thread play this year and I feel that Daniel Nori (Kenwood) has to be the best game time/clutch shooter around.
  3. Bell out of CreekWood should definetly be considered on the AA ballot.. I do not think she wins it this year, but I feel she very well could be one of the best three in AA... I do not follow her or women's basketball enough to give you legit stats, but she is worth watching... All around game and great ballplayer... She is carrying CreekWood on her shoulders this year... I live near CreekWood, but this is in no way a biased post... What I have mentioned above is honestly an understatement in regards to her game...
  4. What in the world would may you think that I feel BTW does not have anything??? I have had them in my Class A top five for the last two years...
  5. It's obviously somewhat of a questionable prediction, I mean they are currently ranked #1 in the ap polls with above average 1A talent in a weaker district. Here's some of my reasoning without seeing them play this year... 1) TCA almost beat them last year and returns the core of their team while BTW lost two stars in Newby and Spencer. 2) BTW lost to Popular Bluff, PB lost to Liberty Tech, and UC has beat LT... Often times comparing scores/games can be misleading, but it is worth noting 3) BTW has played a weaker schedule this year as opposed to years past
  6. Finally reached the 1000 post mark over an eight or so year span... CoachT... Thanks for all that you and your group provide through this website...
  7. I like Mitchell because of talent, coaching, and they fact that they made it last year. That along with the fact that they now have K. Spencer makes them hard to pick against...but I just feel JSS and Sheffield have a little extra this year... JSS is probably the only team in AA that has the talent across the board to compete against CPA... Unfortunately, the coaching might be a little sub par in comparison... Sheffield is somewhat of a suprise pick over Mitchell, but I like them to get out instead of Mictchell this year... I would say out of the west: 1) JSS 2) Sheffield 3) Mitchell 4) Covington 5) Trezvant 6) Fayette Ware 7) Bolivar 8) Liberty Tech With that being said about JSS competing against CPA, they very well might not even make it out of the region like several years in the past due to stiff competition and coaching... Any of the eight teams listed have a legit chance of making it to the glass house...
  8. Thanks for the info... I thought that was right...
  9. Class A Hampton Wartburg Central Watertown Clay County Richland Columbia Academy Union City TCA Shocker: BTW does not make it Class A winner: TCA Class AA Fulton Austin East McMinn Central Livingston Academy CPA Cheatham County Southside Sheffield Shocker: Mitchell does not make it Class AA winner: CPA Class AAA Science Hill Bearden Siegel Blackman Brentwood Kenwood Ridgeway Southwind Shocker: No chattanooga area team makes it Classs AAA winner: Southwind
  10. Btw1993... I was looking back at a few stats/youtube videos, etc. and I was wondering didn't Moy and Allen play on the same team although they were a few years apart...? What year(s) was that... thanks for the info...
  11. Well I guess I have seen him play and did not know it... They have a good ball club and a great coach...

Yes, It matter a whole lot... Maybe not in the regular season, maybe not in the district... but the winner of the region should be favored to make it to state... I have seen almost all of the teams from this area that have a chance to make it to substate and Cheatham Co and Waverly are the second and third best teams respectively behind CPA... With that being said... I was at the CCCHS/CPA play day at Harpeth and like you stated they did beat them... but that was not a full CPA roster nor was it a full CCCHS roster... CPA is the favored team between the two and will likely beat them if CCCHS has to play them in a substate game... Unbias opinion... Like I mentioned above regular season results and district results do not really matter... If you want a chance to make it to state you had better win the region... second place will not only be playing the best team in the state in CPA but more than likely the refs as well as they tend to make a few morer CPA calls in the few games I have seen them play...
  13. Ensworth High School Without question... Great home and away seating, practice field, concessions, etc... Their weight room is better than most small colleges... No one will compare... Book that...
  14. I'll go with NCS in this one... Although I'm pulling for McEwen... It should be a low scoring game...
  15. I actually have yet to see either team play this year... I have seen them last year and know about what they lost... I have been watching a lot more AA and AAA this year as A is down in my area as well as across the state... A lot of parity in A, but west still contains the majority of good teams...
  16. As of this week I'll go with something like: Class A 1) Trinity Christian Academy 2) Union City 3) Booker T. Washington 4) Humboldt 5) Mt. Pleasant 6) Wartburg Central 7) Columbia Academy 8) Middleton 9) Hampton 10) Richland
  17. My reasoning is they did "compete" last year and lost to eventual state champion Memphis East by 1... they bring about everybody back and look really good... Two interesting notes to add if/when they make it to the state this year against a Memphis team: 1) Blackman will definetly have the crowd behind them as they are from Murfresboro and should PACK their side of the gym... 2) outside shooting at the murphy center has always been tough as it is competely different than shooting in your standard high school gym... Memphis schools will benifit from this as most of their points are gathered from inside the paint either by inside buckets from the bigs or penetration...
  18. Agreed on the Alex Fountain topic... I don't personally believe he is the best in 1A, but I do believe he will win it... Exposure influences the ignorant with this award... The players I selected on page 1 are the ones I feel will win it, but they very well might not be the best in their respected classification... AAA as usual has a lot of great players... Nick King is probably the overall best, but due to his team's record and the fact that they probably will not make it out of Memphis inhibits his ability to win the award... An Alex Fountain led Wartburg Central team will more than likely make it to state again this year, but if you put them in 14A I say the only way they make it the glass house by watching in the stands...

huh...??? I do not understand how it can be a "dig" and then directly post a positive gesture in response to same topic in the next sentence? Oh well... Moving forward with 11AA related items...
  20. All of Blackman's players run in the 6'2" to 6'6" range... with good length and atheletism... Best player is Darius Thompson, a 6'4" guard with a verbal commit to Vandy... Great passing ball club that can really likes to get out and run... Good outside shot and very aggressive going to the boards... Like I said before very well coached, plays hard, but plays an weak out of district schedule... may very well be their downfall...

HA HA HA HA... Best post ever... Lord knows Humphreys County education and education in general for that matter begins and ends with Waverly Central High School... I believe someone might be overlooking the fact that your in the same rural school system... i.e. same education +/- 5%... If you fail to realize that... you better open your eyes because life is about to throw you a curve ball... humble pie with a dash of truth always helps... Enjoy...
  22. Ahh... Okay... Your initial post was a little unclear... Well, to be completely honest the real title contenders are the eight or so Memphis teams and Blackman out of Murfresboro and that about wraps it up... I have seen several teams this year out of Memphis (Southwind, Melrose, Whitestation, East, Ridgeway, Hamilton, etc...) and Blackman can hang with and has the talent/ability to beat everyone of them... Blackman pros: Outside shooting, all around game, coaching, and height to compete Blackman cons: Weak schedule, might have to beat two Memphis AAA teams to have a chance to bring home the gold ball Memphis teams pros: Superior talent, height, and competition throughout the year Memphis teams cons: Very little outside shooting to speak of Short of Blackman, no one else in the state will contend with whoever comes out of Memphis in AAA... If the Memphis teams split on the state drawings I will take a memphis school to win it, if they are grouped on one side and Blackman on the other... I'll take Blackman...
  23. There is so much parity in class A this year... Definetly different than the past... I can honestly say there are several teams out there that can bring the gold ball home from the glass house... Btw1993, I'll try and get back with you on that within the next few days...
