i agree......this would eliminate the rhea county basketball fiascos that we saw this year. it would also give credibility to the rankings and reward teams for year long achievements.

replacing brocato would be a tough task ....however he probably would not be able to make up the difference this year. in the past cleveland has won and will again in the future. however, cleveland has the opportunity to make it to the state and i feel they are good enough to do it. a win tuesday would put them in the sub state....and from there anything can happen. but remember, if cleveland does beat the owls tuesday, we wont be able to talk about in here because there will be an electrical surge caused from the sudden ceasing of posts coming from the owl supporters that will probably shut coacht down. it may even go beyond that, if it reaches our electrical grid, we may experience blackouts throughout the area and possibly beyond. we have decided to stock up on water and some stable goods around here just in case. but until then you can expect the owls to open a thread called...ohs vs cleveland..what do ya think?.....and it will be one of the busiest threads up to game time.........good luck cleveland

i tlooks like the owls play cleveland........cleveland played mcminn very tough thursday nite.....this should be a tremendous game...its ashame that both teams cant advance. i have no predictions other than a very close game that can go either way.......good luck to both teams. as for soddy and mcminn.....these two teams played a great game earlier....mcminn jumped out early, then it was relatively even for 3/4 of the game....should be a good rematch

let me add one or two more things.....he was highly thought of by all the players and the parents....everyone was dissappointed when he had to leave but we knew it was in his best interest. also he has some experience as an asst. coach high school basketball.......he may have wanted to keep that a secret.

hey peaceoff...i think i know who you are. if im talking about the wrong coach let me know in here and ill delete this post. anyway i did have a brief experience with this coach....we hired him last summer to coach our U15 boys team. he was really impressive and taught the boys alot. his practises were extremely well run with several great drills. unfortunately he was hired by a local high school and had to let this team go. but the team went on to the state finals last year and alot of the credit should be given to this coach.....i highly recomend him and advise anyone in need of a coach to give him a close look

i agree...oak ridge can beat anyone on a given night....i heard they played faragut a heck of a game...and to me faragut is the team to beat in div AAA. good luck to all....and hope to see you in memphis

if it is true that he only played half of his starters and lost....i dont think he could say anything that would help future opponents anymore than he helped Ravenwood. if philip fulmer benched half of his starters and lost because of it.....you better believe he would have to explain his actions. but seriously i dont believe that brentwood only played half of their starters. i think that is just something someone posted on here to justify the loss. there may have been a couple nursing injuries and a good coach would not risk furthering those injuries prior to tourney time. i believe ravenwood employed a bunker D and made it work...sometimes when you are outmanned that is the only option. one last thing....even if brentwood doesnt care about rankings there are a lot of teams that do...and now that brentwood has acheived the #1 status, teams will be gunning for them. everyone wants to beat #1......so remember, even if you dont care about rankings...you are now walking around with a big "S" on your chest...and that will bring out the best in your opponents. anyway....good luck in the tourneys and hope to see you in memphis

cw160 well thank you.....that was better and without the sarcasm of ur earlier post...now i do understand. i posted this 2 days ago and i will post it again.... brentwood is on a slippery slope....they only have 3 wins in their last 7 games.....this is a bad time to lose momentum....brentwood has lost it as well as confidence....but the confidence of other teams is increasisng with every blemish on your record......momentum is hard to turn around...confidence is even harder. hope u can find a way....good luck in the tourney...hope to see u in memphis

let me see if i understand the logic...... a. some things are more important than winning ...u mean losing is more important than winning? b. he doesnt care about rankings or what u think.....u mean that he cares so little about rankings that he intentionally lost so that they wouldnt be ranked? and even though he doesnt know me or what i think, he was afraid i might think they were good so he threw the game? c. though this may seem unconceivable to you, Ravenwood just won the game......ive said all year brentwood was overrated..this is very conceivable. and yes Ravenwood won the game...but the brentwood boys have been saying that they didnt play their starters...indicating that if they had they would have won. so to sum it up....the brentwood coach thinks losing is more important than winning....and....the brentwood coach hates to be ranked so much that he benches his better players so they wont be ranked....and...he doesnt want people he doesnt know to think they are good. thanks for clearing that up cw160
