  1. First of all, I went to West from (1992-1996) and I must say that you guys played a heck of game Saturday against Alcoa. That was the best showing of a Rebel team since 1993 when West almost went to the State Title game. Keep up the good work and keep Tommy healty and I hope to see you guys making a that run like the 93 Rebel team. But like years past, without Big TW, yall will struggle. I'll like to say yall won't but that's just facts. Something that was funny though, after the game all of you were saying, "We're going to the State this year." That's such a bold statment to be saying after one game. Some advice, take it one game at a time and yall might bring that gold ball to Knoxville West High School. I'm feeling that West High School spirit once again. GO WEST and as always, GO AE, BACK TO BACK STATE TITLES SOUNDS GOOD TO ME! [Edited by AERoadrunners on 8-31-02 6:08P]
  2. "It won't happen this year." RebelRon, I hope you're right but its way to early to be saying that. This seems strange but GO WEST!
  3. I just hope AE doesn't face a good team whenever West plays Maryville. I thought the same thing after I left the game about saying, "that's not Maryville or Central" but the team unity is there and I feel that "The Real Rebels" will surprise some people. I mean, if you go back some years, West did upset Maryville on Maryville's field so anything can happen. When's the game? You all didn't answer my question.
  4. Well, its hard not to talk about my new team(AE since 1997) but I must talk about my old team(Knoxville West 1992-1996) today. I went to see Knoxville West play Alcoa. Most of you know that I attended Knoxville West(1992-1996) but now I'm a proud supporter of AE Roadrunners but I was very impressed with the way West played last night. After the game most of their players were saying, "This is the year of West High School." I laughed but I thought to myself-it could happen. West hasn't had a good team since 1993 when they were one win away for playing for the State Title. But they are very healthy and was making some big plays last night. Coach Cummings has this team thinking they can beat anybody that steps on the field and from the looks of the game last night, it could happen. I see West making some noise but not winning the state like most of the players were saying after the game last night. There's excitement back on Sutherland Avenue at West High School! I feel that West High Rebel spirit coming back to me. Watch out for the real Rebels! Watch out for Tommy Winton-Boy, he was running all over Alcoa last night it took the whole team to bring him down. Hey Maryville fans, when do you all play Knoxville West? I might have to come and view that game! There might be an upset in store. GO WEST but as always GO AE!!!!
  5. I will start with those Mighty Roadrunners of Austin East AE 0 Knox Central 7 Cosby 6 CAK 0 Kings Academmy 21 TSD 0 West 15 Gibbs 6 Beadern 7 Powell 0 Catholic 12 Carter 0 Webb 7 Farragut 6 Halls 0 Karns 0 Fulton 7 South Doyle 0
  6. I will keep you posted on Ski-Bo, he's my little cousin. But I'm telling you, if he don't make them grades, you won't be hearing a whole lot about him.
  7. Markeis "Ski-Bo" Barrett is going to be a good guard going to AE this coming year. If he continue staying out of trouble and keep his grades up, I see him being the biggest recruitment coming out of the Knoxville Area in the year of 2006. Watch out for those Roadrunners, he could start this year if Coach Mitchell allows him to do that. Watch out for the Roadrunners
  8. Boorelly has said it all. Good Luck to both teams just remember, there is always an opening spot on AE's schedule if you all want to play. Go AE! Back 2 Back State Champs sounds good to me!
  9. "AE is sorry", that's the only thing I'm hearing. Well, we will see how sorry they are whenever December gets here. Good Luck to you all too. I just wish we could play you all in a real game. You fans talk to much stuff.
  10. "WE READY WE READY WE READY" Hey, Boorelly, don't forget about me. I'm looking forward to Jeff being the QB. I know if he can't do it, my boy Mini will be able to come off the pine and "Do the darn thing". I can't wait until September 6. Fulton better watch out. Go AE!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. A hit is a hit! Don't get mad because your boy got his block knocked off! Give my little cuz his props! Why wasn't Carl looking in the first place? If he was looking, he still would've got his block knocked off. Now you said that we're sorry, now hold up- If we're sorry, how come we tied yall? It boils down to this, if we're sorry, yall are sorry too because yall let a sorry team tie you all in a scrimmage.
  12. Who is this Coach you're talking about?
  13. Well well, its been said that Maryville could just whoop AE's butt in football any season. Eventhough it was a scrimmage, AE tied Maryville. So what happen to Maryville blwoing AE out? Just remember one thing, "IT's HARD TO BE A ROADRUNNER!" I didn't mention that my litte cuz, Joe Moore stood Carl Stewart up did I? All you Maryville fans ask Carl about the hit that Joe put on him. GO AE, Back 2 Back State Titles Sounds GOOD to ME!
  14. I have to agree with Maryville Guy. You can go to Alcoa High School now and see where the Maryville students put their initials on the hill. The only thing that you see is, "MHS" and its big too. It's located in front of the springbrook swimming pool. This game here is one the biggest games of the year in Alcoa and Maryville's season. I've been to one of these games and fans from each school hate each other. I remember two years ago I think, Alcoa let some mice go in Maryville school. All the mice had a maroon A on them. This is the biggest rivalry game in East Tennessee No Doubt and probably the Nation.
  15. I'm interested in getting a boys 12-u basketball fall team together. Does anyone in Knoxville know anything about a league that we can play in? Please email me at CoachT96@AOL.com
  16. The little saying I have at the bottom of my post are just my motto. Its nothing major so you(TBP0137) shouldn't be sweating it. If you are, I guess you have a problem with Tennessee License plate slogan too? That's where I got it from but I just put a little touch up to it! LOL But like I said, "We at AE take it one game at a time" GO AE, Back 2 Back State Champs sounds good to me!(Just telling you all what would sound good if it comes to be, you feel me?) [Edited by AERoadrunners on 7/27/02 9:29A]
  17. I didn't say anything about us(AE) having a cake walk straight back to the title or game. The only thing I said is that the Gold Ball is at AE right now. So what I'm trying to say is, until someone beat us in the playoffs we are still the champs! Now I feel that my boys will bring it back to the East but I haven't let everyone know yet of how I feel. Its still to early. We at AE has a lot of holes to fill in our offense so I won't start talking about going the 'ship until its time but as of now, I'm thinking about Fulton(September 6). We take it one game at a time and thats what you need to do! GO AE! Back 2 Back State Champs Sounds good to me!
  18. All these players that you all are mentioning, once played with the Knoxville JAzz AAU team. I mean, its like Knoxville Jazz all over. Ski-Bo used to play, Kites and White, Jr. played this year. Ski-Bo is out for some months could miss the first half of the season. He broke his wrist playing a pick up game at the Moses Teen Center. But I see him fitting right in at AE. He loves to push the ball and that's what AE does very well. LOOK OUT FOR THE MIGHTY ROADRUNNERS!
  19. Now its kinda early to being saying stuff like that but all I have to say is, "Where's the Gold Ball at now?" Go AE, Back 2 Back State Champs Sounds GOOD to me
  20. The best upcoming freshman is Markeis "Ski Bo" Barrett he will be attending Austin East Magnet High School. He was zone for West but moved into AE's zone. Therefore, he will be at AE making an impact with Coach Mitchell and Company. Look out for AE in the years to come. Steve Kites is a well sounded kid. He will be getting a lot of PT at South Doyle this coming year but he will need some help, he can't do it all himself. He played on the Knoxville Jazz AAU team. Big Ups Little Kites
  21. Come on now, don't leave those AE Lady Roadrunners out this post. They will be returning back to the state! Mark my word
  22. Run-N-Gun, East Knoxville Lakers, or Knoxville Knicks are some of the 15 year old teams here in Knoxville. What position do you play and have you played before? Need your email address get in touch with a coach and tell them to email you.
  23. I'm looking to put my Jr.Pro Varstiy(12-13 year olds) boys team in a Christmas tournament outside of Knoxville, is there anyone having a tournament for Jr. PRo teams at that time? Contact me at CoachT96@AOL.com
  24. I'm still trying to find out who's week #1 opponent for the Roadrunners. At this time last year, I was making plans to attend the game in NC(Which I had fun eventhough we got killed) so I'm trying to make my plans to travel again. Help me out Boorelly and let me know something. I talk to some of the players and the only answer I get is, "I don't know but we're supposed to be going to Ky." So Boorelly can you help me out? GO AE! BACK 2 BACK State Champs sounds good to me!
