  1. Meigs and Lipscomb girls are rescheduled for Fri. 2-24 @ 7:50 cst.
  2. Yes! Hats off to Coach Davis! Job well done in a close nail biter.
  3. johnnyboy, couldn't have quoted better stats myself! Make ones mind wonder how/why this result is so one sided. Your stats help prove what I have said on past post. Thanks!
  4. I don't agree with most of your sarcasim, but I will agree with this statement 100%!
  5. Before pointing at someone else's faults, you should assess your own teams brawling issues. Central has a whole team of brawlers and they get away with it at home.
  6. Especially if the home team is McMinn Central girls! Check out their record. They have pretty much beaten everyone @ home that they lost to on the road. As a Central fan once stated, "good wins on the road." Can't wait to see where the road leads during tourney.
  7. We got a fax of our game time Monday afternoon.
  8. Meigs County girls play Lipscomb @ 6:10.
  9. How much snow fell in Springfield? Does anyone know when/how they will reschedule?
  10. Meigs girls beat Bledsoe. The score was 28-17 in what was an ugly game. Meigs started strong jumping to an early lead, but plagued with early foul problems, Bledsoe made a run on Meigs to lead by three at the half (16-13). Second half proved better for Meigs as they held Bledsoe to only 1 point.
  11. 5-AA standings as of 1-28-06 Tellico Plains (10-2) Brainerd (9-3) McMinn Central (9-3) Tyner (9-4) Meigs Co. (8-4) Sweetwater (4-8) Sequoyah (2-9) Polk Co. (2-10) Boyd-B (1-11)
  12. Bare in mind that gamefan doesn't always have his/her facts together, so his/her comments don't hold much water.
  13. Whoopie!.............Who cares who you have beaten? The fact remains that your posting was incorrect as is this one. Apparently, you are incapable of checking out what you claim. Loudon has a 15-4 record and was unbeaten prior to playing Meigs. So how do I know that the record that you have posted for WB, DB, and Bearden are accurate? As for "1-31," reguardless of the outcome, Meigs has beaten Central already this year. Even with Centrals best effort, they can only split with Meigs in regular season. That and .75 will buy you a cup of coffee! So get over yourself! THE HECK WITH CENTRAL!!!!
  14. Before throwing stones, you should check your own w/l record. If doing so, you would see that both Meigs and Central have the same 16-6 record. Furthermore, you would also see that ALL of Central's losses were "on the road!" And, your home and away record is not even close so let me clue you in. Meigs @ home 7-1............Central 7-0 Meigs away 9-5................Central 9-6 (But "good" wins on the road) So "road rash" must run powder blue also. Oh yeah, Meigs may not have been to state as many times as Central recently, but they have 2 State titles to Central's 0.
  15. I can agree with the first part of your answer, but if you are suggesting that Meigs had some home cooking in their loss, then you and I must have been watching different games. As I see it, the offiating favored no one. It was bad on both sides of the ball as always. Just for the record, we also had a starter that fouled out. She also fouled out in hostile territory.(Tyner) With that said, you may continue with your region standings.
  16. I've been pondering for a few days now what you mean by "hostile territory." Could you please clarify this statement?
  17. I know this thread is for high school, but I have a question for Bledsoebtheboys....why do you fail to mention anything about Meigs Middle girls on any of your postings in the middle school forum? I think that they may be favored to win the Sequatchie Valley Conference since they are undefeated. Not trying to offend, just curious.
  18. I have since heard that she quit during a game, but she has now returned and she will be sitting out 5 games.
  19. I noticed she wasn't in the box score yesterday...........C'mon Central fans, let us know what's going on in Etowah. What is the scoop on McCaslin?
  20. Meigs beat Oakdale 48-37 and will meet Kingston at 6:00 tonight.
  21. Way to go girls Hats off to Coach Powell! If Meigs would show that much hustle and desire in ALL their games (as they did late in the game) they could have a great season. Again, way to go team.
  22. Congrats to coach Moore and the girls. I understand that they were minus a couple of starters going into this game.
