TO CREDIT THEM A LITTLE BIT, THEIR TEAM WAS LOCKED IN THE OLD COACHES SCHEDULE. I'M INTERESTED TO SEE IF THEY BUMP THEIR SCHEDULE UP NEXT YEAR OR NOT. YES WE ARE DOWN UP ON WARRIOR HILL, BUT I WILL ADMIT, THEY TOOK IT TO US. THEY DO CARRY THEMSELVES DIFFERENT, I DID NOTICE THAT. GOING TO MIDEAY AND SCRIMAGING THOSE THREE TEAMS DID SUPRISE ME, AND DONALD ENSOR DID THAT WITH HIS BASKETBALL TEAM. HE ALWAYS PLAYED HIGHER TEAMS, MAYBE THEY WILL BE A CHANGE. THEY WERE THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAM AT MIDWAY FROM EVERYTHING I'VE HEARD. KRICH, YOUR THE UNAKA EXPERT, WOULD YOU AGREE. WHATS THE STORY ON THEIR DEFENSE AT THE END OF LAST SEASON THROUGH THIS SEASON. ONE OF THEIR PLAYERS SAID THAT GOT RID OF THAT CRAZY OLD OFF. COORDINATOR, WORD IS THAT HE WAS WHAT WAS KILLING THEM.

HAMPTON SURE DIDN'T TAKE ON ANY SCRIMAGES LIKE THAT (CROCKETT DON'T COUNT). NEITHER DID THOSE PANSIES AT CLOUDLAND; THEY GOT TORE UP BY CHUCKY-JOKE FROM WHAT I HEARD. I HOPE WE CAN PUT UNAKA ON THE SCHEDULE NEXT YEAR, GET A LITTLE PAY BACK. KING, I'D BE CAREFUL RUNNING YOUR MOUTH ON HERE. HAMPTON IS THE TOP TEAM IN THAT CONFERENCE UNTIL SOMEONE KNOCKS THEM OFF, BUT UNAKA IS COMING READY TO PLAY THIS YEAR. I WILL DEFINITLEY KEEP AN EYE ON THEM IN THE SUNDAY ELIZABETHTON STAR. P.S. lets leave shrek out of this debate... you can take any of the players from hv and central and have one heck of a all conference team.... nave from e-town would make the cut...thats about it

NO EXCUSES!!! Central beat us. We didn't not go to Alex and Todd, Central took it away from us. Their coach came up with a great D to make other players step up and we didn't. Hv's coaches did nothing to pull them out of that defense either. If it aint broke don't fix it, but it was broke last night and bayless did nothing to fix it. Outplayed and outcoached. Central played good, but I will say that it, was not a blowout. Gotta get ready for unicoi and hope to seeya in the district finals. No matter what you say, it is still 1 game hv and 1 game central.

it was more outcoached than outplayed.... rutledge, bowman, carroll, caldwell, and davis are your best 5 - start'em... play them ....

I'd have to say HV in that one. It seems as though HV has been sleepwalking through this season, with the exception of the Sul. Cent. game. They get up for the big games always though and would be up for unicoi the second time around. HV and S.Cent., I think it comes down to those two teams....game between them @ Central. Thats tough...

Hey, let your center know that that there was a good picture of him getting posterized by alex carroll in the E-town star on monday. Hey cougar scout, wasn't it you that said that carroll was nothing but a few dunks last week. It may not have been you, just curious. Your post players groped and prabbed on my boy all game and the refs called nothing. They should have fouled out early. what was it, 25pts. 15 rebs, 4 blocks. Not only did he have a 'few dunks' but he also had a pretty good overall game. Should be a fun one in the 'Den' though.

The day has finally come to see who is the top dog in the conf. This should be a interesting matchup between 2 very good teams. Both have loads of talent and both can be very explosive. Here is how I see the game matching up: Post play - I think that most people would have to give the edge to HV. Carroll and Bowman are a force down there, and Harrison and Bulla have been turning in some solid games lately. Backcourt - I would have to say that it is a draw. Both have lighthning quick guards, who can shoot the ball well. If I have to pick one it might be Central, only by a slight margin. When Caldwell is on, he is dangerous, but when he is off, he hasn't learned to quick shooting yet. Coaching - I would have to give the edge to Central. As great as Coach Bayless may have been back in the day, he is not the same coach now and has hindered them. Not trying to be disrespectful or bash him. Also the bench technical at hampton against the assistant almost cost them the game. I also can't understand subing your starters when they are not tired and they are playing well and not in foul trouble. Hv doesn't just sub one at a time, they sub 5. Sub when they are tired or in foul trouble. Sub when they are not playing well. Not when they are on a roll. I can't make a prediction. Too close to call, but should be the best game so far this year. Both teams have played down to their competition a couple of times this year. They should both be up for this one though.

South couldn't beat unaka at the volunteer tourny , thats why.

I think the best post player in carter county are andrew bowman and alex carroll. Not jsut sayin' that because I pull for HV. When HV gets the ball to the post for these two, they are unstoppable. Gotta get them to feed it to these two though. I'd say Rusty Holtzclaw would agree.

There is no way that you guys at Hampton can contend with HV. I will give you guys respect when you tell me how you can guard Alex Carroll, Andrew Bowman, Todd Caldwell, Chris Rutledge, Drew Davis. You have no answer. Lucas your alright, but you have no supporting cast, so when you get doubled, there is no one to score. HV's front court will dominate and dunk on you all night long, when they are not raining 3's.
