How do you think this district will shape up this yr? Will Rockwood come out on top again. Maybe the other teams in the district will give them a run for their money this yr. I see Wartburg being on of those teams this yr. Wartburg should have a good team this yr.

Well all I know is there must have been alot of fat people cause they were off about 400 seats.

no by rule it aint! I dont rember the number it had to seat but I counted the number of people that could be seated there. By the number of people that were seated times it by the number of rows then times it by 2 for both sides. They were way off. They were packed in there too.

I know that Coalfield hosted in 98 and Sunbright in 99

As for seating last yr at Rockwood there wasnt enough room there. I think Wartburg is as big as Rockwood. They do need to start now looking at the gym's that they go to Sub state at. I know the one at Unaka's isnt big enough for that. From what I was told Coalfield isn't large enough so they cant hold it there, or at Oakdale, I dont even think that Sunbright is large enough. So that just leaves Wartburg, Harriman, and Rockwood. I dont know about Oneida.

Hey GP, how is that kid who got hurt in the wartburg game I heard it broke his neck? Would really like to know hes been in our thoughts and prayers.

Rockwood by plenty GP's not that good. Wartburg should have beat them, but thats another story. Just watch the middle, they like it.

i'm not talking only about this yr. just look at the past yrs also. you can take the film from 1995 his fist yr at wartburg and study it and you wont even need to look at this yrs film cause its the same plays they have never changed.

well ill put my two cents in here and say lets hope the rumors are right because if you sit in the stands with the majority of fans and parents they are sick of him and his whole game idea. and if you all think he is a good coach then you aint seen a good coach. This is my sons last year but i hope for the rest of the kids they can get someone up there that cares about them and wants to see them do good.

I Just want to say I was glad to see a Game that you all came out and really wanted it. The team played good first half and second half. You could see it in your actions. Got a little scary on the last quarter but you didnt quit. Congradulations. Just remember it was a team win, not just one person, and maybe we could shock a few more. thumb

Dang, looks like someone needs to come to Wartburg if they want to bash some coaches. Thats where we really need some help, we couldnt get rid of one even if he never won a game. And I know Rockwood if the coach wasnt doing his job then they'd get rid of him. Thats where ours came from and from what I remember he didnt last long.

I have to agree with Answer9 WECO has great sports brocasting. Keith never sides with one team or the other even though he's from one of the county schools. I enjoy listening to them after the games as well.

I know we fumbled alot, but ill give rain to some of it. I thought Brent H. done a good job when he played qb at least he looked for the open guy. I am also thankful that no one got hurt in that mess. To me they should have waited til maybe next wk to play. Rockwood sure didnt make to much $ on that game.

not saying but you as a newpaper guy out to be able to figure out where the positions need to be changed. if your getting beat on defense on the outsides change it up.

thanks king xtreme thats not it . its just common sense and everyone else see what needs to be happening. everyone in the stands knows what play is fixing to happen just as well as the other teams.

hey joe glad to see u, we really could use a lot of help so pray hard if they dont wake up this wk iam afaid to say that oakdale may beat us. even if we do beat oakdale thats not saying much if we cant beat anyone but them and sunbright. the line has got to give qb just a little more time and hes got to look for the open man just because they say to throw it to so in so you dont throw it to him if hes covered up. now thats just my opinon but the stands all seem to be on the same thinking. i love them all but sometimes they got to give more than 75% and do more than they are expected.

hes so good that he aint run anything different in the last 7 yrs. and everyone knows what its going to be we need 23 yrds and its up the middle. hahah

goose on the film it dont show the speed because the ones who have the speed aint being used where they are needed. when one of the fastest if not the fastest is standing on the sidelines on defense or not in the position where he really needs to be. then that tells me something aint right with the coaching. in the high school i went to when a coach dont perduce a winning team in a couple of years they were soon sent on their way. and i am right with u bulldfan.[SIZE=7]

mk, its not just u thats the way it is in wartburg got good players with lots of talents just not used. seems to be that they only want to captilize on one or two the heck with the rest. when you do that the other teams knows where to cover and usually do. wartburg couldnt surprise anyone playing that game.

seriously what do you think wartburg's problem was friday night? Our boys I think did what they were told and tried to do their best, and as far as giving up maybe they did, but when what your told to do isnt working what else can they do. i will give some credit to coalfield superstar but wartburg has just as much talent if it was used in the right way. it has to be a team game not and I game or one or two people given all the reconigition.what do you all think?

thats right waggle, wartburg, it could have had one of the best teams around if they had been used to their potential. we may have had some injuries but their was alot more on the side line to be used. as for plays everyone around nows our plays and if we need 50 yrds were going up the middle, you can bet on that . i think we need a change in coaches. anywhere else they would have a change ,especially not going anywhere with the talent we had last yr.
