1. that was 16 years ago, and thats fine, I'm sure CSAS had a great basketball team to beat that great team 2. that was in state tournament, not in byrdstown. I'm not saying anything is impossible...I'm saying its highly unlikely. You simply think that just because you're from Chattanooga that you can just come up here and win. Its hostile up here. You think its easy? Ask Grace Baptist, Tyner, Chattanooga Christian, and any other Chattanooga team that has come up here and lost. Goes ask ezell fans, they thought when Joseph Amonett graduated after he had beat them in 1995, that they would waltz into pickett co. with the same team they had the year before and us without Joseph, and win....but no they got handed their 2nd loss in 1996. Grace Baptist was extremely confiedent 2 years ago when they came up here, Chattanooga fans were talking the same way you all are now, how that we've not played a team that plays the same style ball as you do, that there is just too much tallent on your team, and then picked that it wouldn't even be a close game, Well Grace Baptist came in here and lost by double digits. You think CSAS is fast, they may very well be, but Pickett co. isn't as slow as you think and they've proven that they can run with some fast teams. No with that said, I'm not saying or predicting that Pickett will run all over CSAS or anything, I am predicting they win a close game.

Neutral refs didn't make a difference two years ago. Two years ago everyone was saying that Grace would walk into PC and come out with a fairly easy win. They got thumped. Everyone thought friendships style of ball would cause us problem, didn't .....everyone thought jackson co. would beat us again, didn't....So keep doubting us, its working like a charm so far. Your right legend, those teams were alot better.

Yeah right, we've played Ezell twice at home when they we're really good. Killed Grace Baptist two years ago.

All five starters. But Roddy, T.C., and Jacob Wright were the only one's who saw much playing time that year. All the starters have been to three straight substate games.

Ummm....did you not see the 9-0 all time when played in pickett co.? Plus Pickett is on a role right now. Teams from 4A rarely go to Chatttown and win, and Chatt. teams never come into pickett and win.

I'm sure its at temple university, when pickett played grace down there last year it was there. Temple by 10 or more.

Well first of all the game is at the Pickett co. gym, and I believe the time is 7 but I've also heard 7:30. I'm fairly sure that Jacob had 5 three's. I think he finished with 20, he had a good game. When friendship gave him the three he shot it and when they came out on him he drove the lane and caused havoke. T.C.'s dunk wasn't his best, but I could see in his eyes that he was thinking about just laying it up because he didn't want to miss an important basket. But back to Jacob, the kid is an awesome player, he always starts out the game with whatever bibb's game plan is. The other night when they played jackson co. the game plan was to get it to the big guys down low, and it seemed to me that jacob had no problem with getting it to them, and when they we're being covered he turned his game on. I graduated with Joseph Bailey, and I have to say that jacob is better in everything but size. Bailey wanted to get his points and then get everyone else involved, Jacob is exact opposite. Its sometimes hard to believe that whenever his team needs a score, he can just turn his game on and get that score. I'm ready for this CSAS game, should be a good one. Congrats to T.C. for getting Region MVP.

I don't know much about the west tennessee teams and for that matter not a hole lot about east tennessee either. But I know its hard to walk into another team's gym and win. Pickett co. has never lost a substate game at home(9-0). I think Moore co. and Cloudland will be the only two road teams to win, and I don't necessarily think that if they do win that they will be upsets. My big interest is in the Westside/Trenton Peabody game, what are these two teams like, size, speed, and what not?

Well I haven't seen CSAS play, who is their best player?How tall are some of their players? Reguardless of all that, I think that Pickett co. will win the game. All time in byrdstown, at the wheelhouse, they are 9-0 when hosting a substate game. Pretty good percentage there, hard to go against it. Should be a really good game though. This team has hosted a substate before, beating Grace Baptist, they've already beat temple this year as well.

I think temple will handle them pretty well. Teeter will have to guard skogan, and the other post player for temple will run right over whoever else is guarding him. Friendship would put teeter on roddy tonight and we'd give it to t.c., teeter would guard t.c. and we'd give the ball to roddy, I see the same thing happening monday night. Plus, I think newson is as fast or faster than the dokes kid, so he will probably neutralize him. I see a double digit loss by friendship.

T.C. can dunk and these little whiney private school kids can't get on here and say they beat us tonight, so they pick on him for not doing a windmill dunk or a 360 before he dunked it. We won, T.C. dunked and got M.V.P, and your going down to chattown, where noone ever comes back with a win.

I don't know that friendship has seen a guard with the tallent of jacob wright....to make it worse he's had two bad games in a row, so he's due tonight.

Well everyone outside of 8A and wilson co. are predicting Pickett to win, I pretty certain they are the better team, but I'm sure Friendship won't just let them walk all over them either.

Should be a good game tonight, just hope that this weather doesn't hurt the crowd any. What time does it start? 7:00?

And the cats aren't clickin? They have won ten of their last eleven, their only loss coming to an out of state rival, and they just beat their other big rival tuesday night, being jackson co.....They've gotten hot, not lost in the tournament so far. Lets face it if Pickett Co. wins tonight, which I see happening, CSAS or Temple is gonna have to make the trip up to Byrdstown, which I see CSAS making the trip, but the fact is that Pickett Co. has never lost a sub-state/sectional game at home (9-0), they just know how to win at the "wheelhouse". Good luck to PC tonight.

The reason Jackson co. shot 10 to 15% is because of pickett's defense, and let's give jc some credit too, they didn't shoot well either. Jackson played well in the 2nd half, they deserve credit...Both teams were better and Pickett is still better than Friendship. We give friendship match up problems and they know it. Just hold on to your hats, cause this should be a good one. Budman8, friendship will be the one enjoying temple.

You know old chap, I see a lot of beowulf in our boys, don't ya think? You going to be attending the Friendship vs. Pickett Co. championship old chap? Should be a good one. Road to the state tournament championship just got alot easier when Grace Baptist, Union City, and Lake Co. getting beat.

Well coach I agree he should be fined, not enough grammer in high school and too much beowulf. I like how your throwing around all those big words so that most of region 4a can't argue with you just because they don't know what half of it means. But anyway, back to the game...should be a good game tomorrow night, as for the person talking about wilson co. having three schools in the region tournament last night, well thats great congrats on doing so, but when a school of less than half your students beats your private, highly funded school don't come crying to us about having to travel to Temple. Pickett co. has been an amazing program for 20 years now, without rich almuni giving back loads of money to the sports programs, without having all that money that your students' parents pay for you to go to school there, without the magnificent facilities that Friendship has. We may be out in the country, a bunch of farmers. We may not be anywhere close to as good at baseball or football as Friendship, but we know how to play basketball. And we've got a coach who knows how to coach 'em up. So good luck to both teams tomorrow night, and I hope to see a competitive game.

Oh show up. The bobcats are going to put on a clinic for 8A fans thursday night. Should be a good ball game, nothing like the one tonight though. Friendship should show up play there game, but I just don't see them taking down pickett co. now. Bibb finally got the jackson co. monkey off his back so he is primed to win his 2nd region championship in 3 years. If the big guys play like they did tonight, and t.c. stays outta foul trouble like he did tonight then I don't see friendship having the ability to stop him and roddy down low. I do hope Jacob Wright decides to bring his shooting shoes in this one though, (no field goals against JC, 5 free throws late), cause they might be hurting if he has another game like that. I wanna say that I was throughly impressed with Brett Roddy's preformance tonight. He had 18 points, including those big free throws late, and definately more than 10 boards. Should be a good game to watch, but I see pickett co. winning it by 8 or more.

Ummmm.....No. Friendship will not beat Pickett Co. Pickett just beat JC 42-38. PC played one of the best defensive games I've seen. It will be no different against Friendship, Friendship is pretty quick, but PC will control the tempo. You all can't stop our posts, they are too big, and you don't have the height to do it. Jacob is gonna bounce back with a good game, you have not played against a player in single a with the tallent he has. As for the JC/PC game, I guess we (PC's fans) were right about PC's ability, you JC fans were wrong, we're going on, your going home...So go ahead get on here and whine.
