ACMaverick man i haven't been on here bashin your team so how do you say i run my mouth? and read all of my post on recaps of our games nothing sticks out that i say FAGAN IS A SUPERSTAR or anything like that. you guys are good year in and year out. i appreciate someone from AC actually putting good stuff on here about us. now i did put somehting in the OR post but that was because i was hype about beating a rival in a big game.

baseballgod8 you either play for webb, oak ridge or hunters lane. and man i've only posted on here for 3 games that we have played. i pitched in two so what am i supposed to do about that and the other as a matter of fact i did get a guy out at home. all i was wanting to know is if people think we're improved or not. i didn't ask for your biased opinion on our team. you must be from oak ridge because we beat you guys and you might be mad about that i dunno. anybody else have any thoughts?

i don't think he has...but he's playing again after some sort of leg or ankle injury. i'm sure he'll be throwin from the mound here soon and it will be trouble for the opposition.

District 3-AAA has a murderers row of pitching in Bowman, Ownby, Lockwood, Larson, and Plumlee. out of them all i'd say the first 3 are the best. Lockwood throws a heavy fastball in the mid to high 80's he also has a curve that's about a 15MPH drop off and as a sophomore that's pretty dang impressive. while bowman is a member of the 90+ club and ownby hits high 80's with a slider, curve, and a very good change up.

this thread is mostly for the teams in district 3-AAA. I play for Clinton and i want to know if you feel that at 4-5 (1-2) right now that are we better than last years team? we finished 9-19 last year losing 9 one run games and beat a couple of quality opponents in webb, central, powell and jefferson county. just give me some insight on how you feel based on opinion. and please no bullcrap post in here cause i haven't been knockin anybodys team.

no offense but i really don't think helton could start in baseball @ powell...he needs to go for football if anything. powell has one of the premier infields in the area. Derek Treece, Dustin Plumlee, and Nick Lakin are all solid preformers. With the quality pitching that powell has i feel that they could make a run in the district for the first time in a while this year. my hat is off to them cause they really put it on us last night and made us pay for our mistakes. Cummings has definately developed his off-speed stuff to keep hitters off balance and they don't have a weak hitter 1-9.

It was a big night for the Clinton Dragons as they improved to 3-3 (1-1) on the season when the Wildcats of Oak Ridge came to town. Clinton started Terry Coffey on the mound as OR put Brenton Brown up against him. Neither team scored until oak ridge put 3 across in the top of the 3rd, they would have added more had Murray Fagan not made a spectacular play from left field as he threw out a runner at home to end the inning. Clinton answered back with 2 in the bottom of the 3rd as Fagan and Daniel Gore led the inning off with back to back singles. They were plated by a 2 RBI double by Travis Borum. The Dragons pulled even in the 5th to make it 3-3. In the 6th Gore relieved Coffey and shut the Wildcats down. Borum led off the Dragon 7th with a single followed by back to back walks by Curt Jenkins and Adam Inman, thus setting the stage for Coffey's suicide squeeze that plated Borum sending the stadium into a frenzy. The Dragons played small ball good and excellent D as they only committed 1 error. gore improved to 1-1 on the season. GO DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!

As we come to installment #2 in the Clinton, Oak Ridge rivalry I would like some input on what people think of the outcome of this one will be. Clinton won 10-4 @ OR in the oak ridge invitational last friday. This one is @ clinton @5 tomorrow. anybody that wants to see a good rivalry game should come out and catch this one.

Clinton played @ Oliver Springs tonight in a 11-1 victory. Fagan took the hill for the Dragons going 5 innings with 7 k's, 2 hits, and 0 earned runs. Kidwell had 2 hits for clinton along with coffey, darnell and borum. Fagan also went 1-4 with a 2 RBI base hit. OS made a few errors that led to runs but mostly clinton put the ball in play and got the job done.

Thank you Bizazz! i just don't understand...you put all of the dedication and hardwork into the pre-season and then you up and abandon the team leaving them in a bind, all to go on a vacation! I'm not taking anything away from Lockwood, the guy is one of the best arms in the East Tennessee area. how crazy would it be if you had a murderers row of pitchers if Bowman, lockwood, and ownby went to the same school....WOW that would be crazy! but i appreciate your post man.

Well it wasn't a good start for the Dragons tonight....We got the unfortunate task of facing Jeff Lockwood on opening night...it was a close game going into the 5th inning @ 2-0 as a Clinton error to start the inning opened the door for a Halls base hit and a 3 run HR. Fagan went 5 2/3 giving up 5 earned(3 unearned) and Shoemaker went the final 1/3 giving up 2 earned. Lockwood fanned 13 or 14 as he looked to be in good form. Clinton has Oak Ridge tomorrow @ 11 am and Halls has Karns. Each game is in the Oak Ridge Invitational. We were hurt by the shorthandedness due to our basketball team being @ State and two starters being out of town for spring break as they don't have their priorities set straight !

that takes a whole lot out of Central with him being out....he's a quality pitcher and a big bat in the line up....that has to hurt...they must be hoping for him to be back by the time district play starts. Did baby swaggerty pitch?

some of my superstitions include putting a quarter in each back pocket while i play. i also write a different quote inside the bill of my hat before each game...whether it be lyrics from a song or just a good quote. the bill will be filled up by the end of the season!

did bowman pitch for central? if not who did?

i may not like powell too much since i play in the same district, but they have some of the best talent around these parts...they've got solid pitching with plumlee and kevin cummings and preston davis. good position players in cole patrick and kevin herman, and chuck hargis' baby brother that's a pretty good basketball player...not to mention one of the best pure hitters around these parts in derek treece...i'd watch what you are saying before you talk smack about powell.

aight 4 of our losses were to teams from CHIGAGO and KENTUCKY. so in tennessee we were 24-6. hey guys did you know that Karns upset the #1 team in ET campbell county(overall record way below.500) 41-40 and they almost shocked central-the preseason #1 in the state(overall record 5-32) too man, we couldn't even beat either team cause we had a losing record of 24-6 against teams in tennessee. but your right we are horrible we go to state solely on luck and lack of talent. so anyways is Karns playin in the state consolation tourney? if so give me a time so i can come watch.
