Who is the best sophomore in the Knoxville area? Jeff Lockwood from Halls has 10 dings on the year already, is an exceptional pitcher, and is an agressive outfielder with a cannon for an arm.

Daniel Larson is throwin in the 90-91 range...if his arm gets stronger hes gonna be a though senior to beat next year

Just curious who you think will win Wednesday night at Halls with Karns making the ride down the creek.

i heard the same thing actually...i didnt think about that-but i still figured that owenby may throw against us-not bragging or takin from central but i thought we might be the bigger threat(we'll just look beyond the camp co game and take that statement for what its worth lol)

but like i said before(and my main point) ive never seen that done before...it was interesting-just trying something different i guess i think there is a college that does the "phantom ball" pregame infield

yeah i saw that after i said that-sorry about that-they beat jeff. co-thats a good thing, but a tie with gibbs means nothing. well to add on, they had like 3 or more errors in our game

yeah-i get ya earlier in the year i made comments that i wasnt impressed with lockwood's hitting...he was missing pitches and looked lazy at the plate...he's now attacking the baseball and hitting his pitch when he can and also hits the outside pitch well and puts the ball in play. he's an excellent sophomore baseball player!!! he plays above many upperclassmen! get my statement that i made for you to tell childs,bizazz?

superman...do you play for mcminn central? if so, when we were shaking hands after the other night at Halls i said "how ya doin there former coach?" and he kinda looked at me funny. i didnt get to mention my name to him so he most likely didnt recognize me. He was my coach when i was 10 yrs old here in Knoxville for the Boys Club. Ask him if he remembers any boys with the last name "White". get back at me with a response-thanks

oh yeah-if you see childs anytime soon be sure to tell him my ear is ringing as we speak from when he nailed me. lol i didnt think he was throwing to hard till that happened.

oops-didnt mention larsons homerun. he has really stepped up his hitting and i enjoy watching him more and more each day. bizazz-you honestly think the wind took that ball out?

today in the championship game at gibbs-West 7 Halls 6...Halls led throughout the whole game. it was a good game. lockwood went yard for the devils. josh chittum pitched an excellent game for halls. in the sixth inning he had only pitched 66 pitches. in the 7th he got in trouble early. off of 2 hits and a walk the bases were loaded with no outs for west. dustin black(catcher,3b) came in to maybe close it out. with his first mound appearance he couldnt get the job done. he walked in tying run,popped a guy out in infield foul territory, and walked in the winning run. west threw 3 pitchers today...couldnt tell ya the first 2 but the last was snyder. halls has 2 district games this week and plays everyday but tuesday so the "big arms" were held off. west put the ball in play and had hits when they needed them. it was a great game. congrats to west on the championship. and that concludes the beaver creek classic.

mcminn central came down to play in the beaver creek classic here in knoxville this weekend. before their game against us (knox halls), they took infield-without a ball. they went through each motion-fielding,throwing, and all without a ball. when the catcher stands beside the fungo coach he would act like he would catch the ball and toss it at the coach-our team just sat there thinking what in the world, but later our coach told us it was to get down the fundamentals. i dont know how well that works-they lost every game in the tourny i believe.(not putting them down, just making the statement different people do different things to maybe see a change-they lost the night before us and they took pregame infield with a ball-maybe they were looking for something diffrerent)

wad-on an occurance as obvious as this i can not believe you would dare stand for an umpire in this situation. it is apparent that he did the wrong thing-no matter the situation. the umpire is in the wrong here and i cant believe you would defend him when you werent there to verify

NO COMMENT ON THIS POST IS INTENDED TO MAKE CAMP. CO. LOOK LOWER THAN HALLS well...honestly i dont know what to tell you all. at the plate it was almost nasty. we had some solid hits and they made 5 errors i believe instead of 4. both teams brought only 3 hits each. coach p made a good point tonight- he made the statement that sometimes whne you make errors it may not affect the outcome of the game, but tonight our errors KILLED us! they executed their bunts and they put the ball on the right side with runners on 3rd. ive never seen a camp co team execute like this camp co team did tonight. you know what...i have nothing else to say-ive turned blank...halls hasnt lost to camp co in several years and what a year to be the first-solid team but just couldnt get done tonight. i encourage my teammates to keep your head up and not it let it affect our Jeff Co game tomorrow night. this game may hurt us in the long run. baseball is day to day! have a good night!

thats a pretty good story you got there!LOL can you remember the team? It is a very nice place to play-the only field i didnt enjoy playing on was the bottom field closest to the road. Nice fields though and great teams. Pick a good weekend and watch and you'll find several scouts there! Played there one Saturday afternoon and there were 5 scouts clocking and such behind the plate. i encourage good coaches with good teams to consider a tourny up there! Great ball playing!

I've always heard you play SIMILIAR to how you look Don't want to look like slobs out there playin...might as well have nice uniforms and hats-high athletes take pride in their caps and such-and if you have pride then you will wear it off the field and you dont want to look stupid in an ugly hat when your showing your school pride.

I think Powell played a good game tonight. cant take anything from them! Looked who they faced! Daniel has stepped it up this year from last. We finally hit the ball all over the game last night which is a def good sign for a rival district game like that. late in the game we hit the ball solid but right to them(well i should say my teammates hit the ball solid). both teams are good teams and need to be watched by district 3AAA!! My comment above wasnt intended to be selfish saying i need to hit. Whoever is hitting needs to see the pitches and right now its not me and the job is getting done throughout the line-up-i applaud my teammates with the sticks last night and pretty good night defensively. i also applaud Powell on their def.-Williams chased some hard balls down last night-a few mental errors by the catcher. but anywayz...good solid homerun by Patrick-that was another shot where i just took 2 steps towards left from center and then just stood and stared-good hit cole. Lockwoods shot-oh my goodness-he murdered it! but im done im rambling now! LOL Halls @ Camp. Co-Powell @ Oak Ridge. GO HALLS!
