  1. Does the QB and the Center play on the same team???? Then fix it!!!! They practice this stuff every day in practice. It don't matter if its the QB's fault or the Center's fault...They both wear the Purple and Gold and it doesn't take watching the game to know that! Someone eventually has to take responsibility and be the leader.
  2. Michael Scruggs TC Payne TT Harper Chad Evitts Reggie Harper That would be my Top 5 in no particular order.
  3. Macon had 2 as well. With one of them being Borders, I think Portland would take that switch.
  4. If he was legit D-1 talent, he would be MC's starter even if he was a Freshman. That should answer your question.
  5. And honestly I think the East Robertson and Westmoreland game will be a dog fight. So if you are looking at who Harpeth has played compared to TC...Harpeth's strongest opponent has been East Robertson. While Trousdale's weakest opponent has been East Robertson and Westmoreland. With Friendship, Upperman, Macon, and Smith all being better than those 2 teams.
  6. The fact that TC has played the #1 ranked team in Division II 1A, #10 team in 4A, #7 team in 2A, #7 team in 4A, #10 team in 2A, and #10 team in 3A...I would give them the status "battle tested" and they seem to be getting healthier. The games that matter to them are coming up...Harpeth, Whites Creek, and Watertown is all that are on their minds. They can go from break the streak of making the playoffs for the past 35 years to finishing 3rd in the Region with those 3 wins. Win 2 of the 3 and they finish 4th.
  7. The fact that you have to cover 2 of them instead of one is what will cause the problem. This Macon team will be good for the next couple years to follow as they are loaded with Sophomore talent at the skill positions.
  8. I've seen both Borders and Rollins play in person....Both of those kids can play, but the Borders kid opened by eyes last week. Jukes, stops on the dime, and then just hits a different gear and out runs DBs who have the angle on him. And to think the kid is just a Sophomore. And if Macon ever gets his twin brother back from his injury, it is double trouble. I think this game will come down to the 4th quarter. I got Macon-35 Upperman-27
  9. And we secretly know who he is. We just choose to let him ramble and talk no-sense. One of these days, he will catch a stunner when he least expects it!!!! BTW, Bubba Gregory said "keep his and his wife's name out of your mouth!!!! Casper!"
  10. I'm a Vetetoe fan, but it was brought to my attention about the comment, so I went back and read it. I can see were folks thought it was taking a jab. In a round about way stated, "Don't waste your time going to the Creekbank tonight and watching that slaughtering, stay at home and watch a REAL team!" Besides that, He does dedicate this time and efforts and is a great coach. I don't know what the problem is as far as him not being a legit contender for TC's HC job if it came open.
  11. The little Facebook Jab he made a couple weeks ago toward TC Football isn't going to get him any brownie points. Satterfield knows and sees all!
  12. Missed our chance when Waggoner was hired over Dobbs! Dobbs was the right hire back then. Would have brought 2 monster sons with him as well. That one left a bad taste in my mouth!
  13. I'm not sure what Blake or Clint has done to you personally, but you may want to seek help and maybe see a Therapist. The way I look at it is this, Blake isn't stealing gas and you can understand him when he speaks, so what's the problem? I'll just leave that on there!!!
  14. I seen Westmoreland and Smith play last week. #19 for Westmoreland gets after it. He probably is only about 5'6 and weighs 130 or 140. He's their nose guard. He also runs the ball for them. The kid can play. Goes back to the saying, "It's not always the size of the dog in the fight, but more about the fight that is in the dog!" That kid really impressed me how he is so small, but plays like a giant.
  15. Fayetteville beat a very good 4A Upperman team. That's all I need to know. I expect "The City" to be representing one side when the 1A State Championship rolls around.
  16. I think Tyner will represent one side and UC the other. That's my prediction for the State Championship!
  17. Not so fast there. I remember the 91-0 game against Red Boiling Springs I think back in 2005. After the first quarter, all Freshmen were in. It would have been more disrespectful to punt on first down than it would have been to tell the Freshmen not to score. Sometimes a team is just BAD. I don't fault Macon for having a little fun with it. If I took all the beatings they have from little brother over the years, I would take advantage of this rare occasion. Just cold hard facts. I'm from Trousdale and I didn't take offense to the 42-0. My thought process was, if you can score 70, then do it!!!! BUT remember, eventually the tide will shift again.
  18. Absolutely. Clint and Creasy are Top of the line coaches. Trousdale has been lucky to have both. Just saying Creasy had A LOT of talent at TC when he took over. Basically walked into 2 State Championships waiting to happen. But I will give him this, it's not easy beating Maryville and he seems to get it done A LOT. He has won at 1A, 2A, and 6A I believe. Jim B was the Grand Daddy of them all IMO.
  19. No one compared Blake and Creasy. Made a point to say, even the GREAT Creasy would struggle with this Trousdale team. Now if you want to compare a Satterfield, throw Clint and Jim B in there against Creasy and that would be a huge stretch for Creasy to even be in that conversation. I love Creasy, but talent flocks to a team that can win and being in the Boro and able to pull kids left and right. I respect him, but have for sure seen others do more with less!!!!
  20. This is No Way, Shape, or Form Blake's fault. Honestly, Creasy would struggle to win 3 or 4 games with this exact same team. There is a huge drop in talent from this year to last year's team. But we can't stand around and dwell on it. Conditioning, Weight Room Success, and Hard Practices is what makes a team tough. If you push a lot of athletes in today's society, they will just quit. That's the easy opt out mentality. Having a team start off with a low number to begin with and then even more quit when their backs are against the wall, simply can NOT be pinned on the coach. AND then a coach looks around and thinks, "maybe I should ease up a little so no one else quits!" Well then you are starring at an 0-3 team that needs to be pushed for better results, but if you do that you may only have 15 dressed out the next week. It's a slippery slope. Obviously the ones who have grudges against Blake and don't like him for personal reasons, will blame him. The ones that are on the outside looking in will be able to confirm and say, "Trousdale's talent isn't up to par and their numbers are extremely low this year!"
  21. 316, I heard TC has an updated injury report and one of the featured backs is out for tonight. Also heard a starter was dismissed from the team? If these 2 things are true, an already crippled TC team just turned into a Lt Dan straight out of war!
  22. Great post. And I hope the game is as close as you predict, so we can get our money's worth. But I can see a clock runner here. And that's a tough pill to swallow. Tradition and The Creekbank can only get you so far, but it can't play the game for you. Unfortunately, the creek is very dry this year. Hoping for an injury free game both ways!!!!!
  23. 100% all in fun. This whole site is and to talk about football. Don't let me rub you wrong. The Region is between you guys and Westmoreland this year. No One likes a winner all the time, so I'm ok with sharing some of the pie with fellow Region Foes. And if I wasn't fine with it, there is nothing I could really do about it. TC just isn't good this year. I have seen the talk about in 5-6 years the pee-wee teams will be dominant. That may very well be true, but you can't wait that many years when you have the tradition TC has. I also understand you can't turn a ... into a house-wife overnight either. It's a process, but TC will have to find a way to be competitive and not look 5 years down the road. I really don't know the answer to it. It's not like Hartsville is blinking for folks to move in, even though the population has seemed to double lately, but with mostly adults and very few kids (especially athletic kids).
  24. I would be really impressed if this person is over 16. He must have seen highlights of TC back in the late 90s and early 2000s, because he was still swimming!
