  1. Im glad we havent blown this out of proportion guys . Im still trying to figure out what Coach Skogan leaving Temple has anything to do with life leasons. He put his four years in, his kids are gone, and he has no reason to be there. Its not like he owes anything to Temple he was just helping out and now he decided to leave. Would it not be any different if another parent took over the team this year? Would we get on his case for leaving whenever his kid graduates? And come on, it didnt take a genious to tell that the Temple football program was going to have some serious issues after this year. We've known that for the last 4 years. Not only because they lost most all their talent, but also because the school is not real serious about the program.
  2. Well last year I guess we were better than ever west tn team but 1, Union City. 2nd out of what 120 some teams in single A 2 of the last 3 years aint to shabby. And it is definently nothing to "diss" a team about. In East TN Grace Temple has at or near the top of the list. The Times free press had an article last year about how it was the best rivalry in the city of Chattanooga. Here is what is so impressive to me, the schools have a combined student body of under 300 students. This is not like the West tenn teams that have enough students to be AA but some how arent. And the schools that have a COMBINED enrollment of under 300 students fill up a college gym that seats 2,500 people. And by fill I mean standind room only. Not to mention they played 5 times last year which deff made it the best rivalry in class A last year.
  3. Why wouldnt Temple just end the program? It isnt like they have a ton of tradition or bosters who are going to want to keep it. It is going to be expensive and unless some new kids pop up they arent going to be competative; thats if they have enough people to field a team. How could you blame Coach Skogan for leaving? He already has a full time job and was just filling in while his kids were there. Now that his kids are gone he has no reason to be there. Its like why would you coach a little league team that your kid isnt on? That may be a bad illustration because Temple isnt a little league team but you get the idea. Now back to basketball, who will coach the crusaders next year? Will Greg Brown be eligable to take over the team?
  4. He was in foul trouble the whole game, he played 2 mins in the first half.
  5. Is that when the recruits become eligable?
  6. By what I have seen CSAS lives and dies by the three. IF the get hot they are tough, but until they find other ways to score they are going to be a very inconsistent.
  7. I would say Grace turned it over just as much if not more than CSAS.
  8. Carter McMasters is the real deal.
  9. Should be a good one, I think im gonna try to go.
  10. Grace has a couple good young guards that can more than hang with csas's guards, but the question is about their lack of experience. Who knows how they react to the atmosphere. Icecold, LEGEND, is it going to be crazy?
  11. We will have find out friday, maybe they needed some extra practice. I dont think it will have that much affect being off to weeks, but i guess it couldnt help.
  12. It would be smart if he can already graduate I am sure the Furman football system is 100 times more complex than Temples. As for Temple forcing Coach Skogan out the door, I doubt that. So what if he sends his kid to McCallie, I would do they same thing. Joey is a much better football and baseball player than he is basketball player. Temple's football program is all but over and they might as well not have a baseball program. If Temple gets mad at him for doing whats best on his kid shame on them. Now none of this has really been confirmed, all speculation. What do you have to say about this new news 1411111?
  13. The young backcourt of Grace should be able to hang with the speed, they are just as fast as CSAS's guards. The main problem with the Grace backcourt and team as a whole is going to be how the react to the crowd at csas, it is going to be very loud and could get to them.
  14. By what I saw against ER, CSAS lives and dies by the three. That makes it hard to predict. If Grace gets out and guards the three point line, I like Graces chances.
  15. How can you blame Temple for this? Evidently the Pickett Co. coached called and wanted a answer two weeks before the tournament was to start, and Temple could not give them a definate answer. Obviously the Pickett coach knew they didnt know if they were going to be able to play, so that left temple no option but to back out.
  16. 2 or 3 three pointers a game???? We should go ahead and call them the "rain makers." I didnt know they were putting up numbers like that. If they continue they should be in the Mr. Basketball talk.
  17. Are you 21st Century people serious or just kids messing around trying to be funny?
  18. I have heard that Seth Wadley and Joey Skogan are transfering to McCallie at the end of the semister. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor?
  19. They are very undisiplined and Jurick doesnt always play hard. Those two things will keep them from being anything real special.
  20. Last I heard yes, but you never know what could have happened at school today...
  21. It looks like I am going to be able to make it to he game, hope it is a good one. Still gonna say ER by 8.
  22. If you consider TO a point guard in the Chattanooga area he is way above anyone else in the area and the guard possition.
  23. really? Well last year a couple of the guys took off, its good to know they got right in there.
