The call was incorrect and borders on idiotic - it made no sense whatsoever. Two things can get you beat in that situation.
1. Throwing the ball to one of the opponents - standing on the 3-point line, ready to shoot the ball.
2. Throwing the ball out of bounds untouched - giving the opponents the chance to throw the ball inbounds to one of their teammates standing on the 3 point line, ready to shoot the ball.
3. Wait, just thougt of another one ... fouling the opponents while they are shooting a lay-up because they were being guarded inside the three point line ... even though a lay-up does nothing to the victory that is at hand.
Simple logic wins this game - not a fancy inbounds play. It was wrong when used earlier this year - it just happened to work, a dangerous play when no points are needed.
My advice to Mr. K since I have a hard time putting that sacred word in front of his name. If you are going to coach - learn the game. If you are going to coach well - learn the game well! Oh yes, people skills would always help a little also!
Missed shots and turnovers are a part of the game - you can attempt to curtail them but they could always come up to bite you. The interesting this on this game is ... the missed shots and turnovers don't beat you, if you throw the ball to Ogan and let her shoot at the opponents goal and score for them. It may be a stupid play ... but, if the so called COACH would have seen that instead of his play, our mighty panthers would have played in the finals with a victory by one point. In case you didn't notice, that's just another play that would have secured victory.
It is a shame that Mr. K cannot improve his game to the level of these Lady Panthers!
