  1. She's fiesty...Adsmom, look out...She's coming for your spot /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  2. I never questioned whether or not you were on the court...Thing is, that's about the only thing I could decipher from that previous post of yours..
  3. I think your intentions are almost good but you are about as hard to take seriously as Legend is..
  4. No that would be the Middle and East Tn teams outside of Temple and maybe Grace Baptist.. Humboldt has more than proved that they are every bit as good as advertised... If Manassas beats Humboldt, I'll do my best to be the first to congratulate you on being right... However, if Humboldt beats Manassas, I expect the same.. Of course, this is all assuming that these two teams meet up..
  5. Yep...I think it takes place up in the Nashville area...I'm wanting to say they'll do it in Hermitage but I could be wrong
  6. Grace Baptist...I knew that one was coming /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Ideally, I'd like to see Grace Baptist in the 1st round, Temple in the 2nd, and Manassas in the championship...Humboldt has some unfinished business with all three teams.. You can't even begin to compare that team to this year's team though...Humboldt is much better equipped to play teams in the half court set but can still run and gun with the best of them /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. Of course they do...No team is perfect...Manassas has flaws as well...
  8. Same thing happened in the 05-06 tournament...Cosby was the #1 ranked team in 1A undefeated or maybe with 1 loss but hadn't played anybody...Humboldt drilled them by 20 in the first round of state...Them boys didn't know what hit them /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  9. Still no way he was faster than Gordon /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I guess ol' Rocky can jump higher than Crayton too huh?? /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  10. That's funny... I'll take Raleigh-Egypt, Bolivar, AND Scotts Hill lol...I mean Humboldt
  11. Wouldn't want it any other way.. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  12. Not sure what game you were watching...Joseph Gordon (#3) didn't play much at all due to foul trouble and the fact that Campbell (#23) was playing well but when he did he was by far the quickest player on the court...Your point guard was decent and he pretty quick himself but I don't believe he scored all game and he over-exaggerated every pass, trying to make it look good first, and be successful second...
  13. I'm definitely not concerned about anything that YOU have studied... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  14. I think you've more than made your point, man...Just leave it alone..
  15. Legend, I put ZERO stock into what you say...You've made way too many ignorant and irrational remarks for me to take anything you have to say seriously... I know Manassas is talented...I've given them their respect...You and your Manassas fans are the ones who haven't given Humboldt any respect all year...Even you said a couple of weeks back that Humboldt doesn't match up with Manassas...I believe you said Temple was the best matchup...Don't expect any respect from the Humboldt fans if you're not willing to give us any...
  16. Humboldt will be the better shooting team and will be a little quicker...I realize Manassas is no pushover and they will be very talented but this Humboldt team just has so many weapons and so many different ways they can beat you... Does it even matter who I think is better? We'll find out next week..
  17. I agree...No disrespect to the Long kid, but Crayton not being nominated is a joke....He's a 6'6 F/G that's been a human highlight reel all year consistently leading the undefeated #1 A team in scoring all season routinely scoring in the 20's despite all the talent and scorers around him...He'd probably hang 25 to 30 a night if he was on a team that didn't have so many other weapons...He scored 22 on an off-night last night and pulled down several rebounds as well.. Hopefully that matchup will happen...Nothing against Summertown, you'll just be in the way of Humboldt and what they're trying to accomplish and that aint' somewhere you want to be /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. Forgive me if I don't accept ignorance as a compliment... At first, I thought you were a Humboldt fan but since you're not I'm not even going to bother wasting my time...Good day to you sir..or ma'am /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  19. The ball handling is not as bad as you seem to think and it has improved vastly since the beginning of the season...For one, when you saw Humboldt play in the preseason, Campbell was not the starting point guard and Gordon wasn't playing much at all...These two are our main ball handlers now...Now, I'm not saying that Manassas won't cause us to turn it over some because they will (as any good defensive team would), but we'll force a bunch of turnovers as well with our quickness, length, and athleticism... I do agree with you on hoping these two meet...All this talk is getting old /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  20. This is a stupid thread...We don't even know who we're playing yet and won't until Saturday...People like you make the rest of us Humboldt fans look bad..
  21. Heard that as well...Just read online yesterday that we got Cousins..Them Tigers are going to be AWFULLY tough next year..I just hope Calipari can keep all that talent and ego under control...Might not have enough basketballs for Wall AND Henry...I hear Cousins comes with some baggage too..This recruiting class is comparable to the one Michigan had years back that included Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juan Howard, and others that made up the "Fab Five"...I'm sure there have been some other ones that were awfully good but that's the one that comes to mind... Don't you just hate it for Willie Kemp though?? The kid takes his team to an Elite 8 his freshmen year at point guard only to lose his position to Derek Rose, Tyreke Evans, and now more than likely John Wall (three one-and-done guys).. Might not be able to make it until Friday but I'm working a few angles trying to make some things happen...I just hope we don't draw Manassas first game...That's the main one I'm wanting to see!
  22. Appreciate it...I've read some of your posts and you seem to have a pretty good idea as to what's going on down there in Memphis...I believe we both share the same opinion as far as thinking that Manassas was a better team last year...They seem to be a little more dependent on Buckner this year (although they still have some other weapons like Woodard, Northington, and Walker) and not near as strong of a shooting team..
  23. Don't feel too bad...I wanted LC to win too...I just felt like Manassas was going to be too much for them, especially down in Memphis... Bigster's assessment is pretty encouraging but I just hope no Humboldt players see that... Probably getting ahead of ourselves a little here...Manassas and Humboldt won't be the only good teams there...Us West TN fans have made this mistake before...I do feel like we have the best team, but we won't be able to overlook anyone at this point...While the East TN teams won't be as talented or as big, they will play smart, fundamental basketball and they will shoot the three consistently..It's "bring your A game or go home" at this point..
  24. The majority of the people who said that LC is better than Manassas were Scotts Hill fans who seemed to have a bit of a problem with Manassas...There were some that predicted LC to go down and pull the upset but it was pretty widely accepted that Manassas was the favorite...As I said earlier today, a lot of the people who picked LC to win did so "hoping" they would win...It appears that was wishful thinking.. Humboldt and Manassas (if it happens) is going to be a war...Buckner and company want that gold ball that eluded them last year and Humboldt has been chasing the same thing for the past 5 years...Not to mention Humboldt has a score to settle with Manassas after that thumping the Tigers gave us down in Memphis last year..
  25. Scotts Hill played lights out for the first 12 minutes of this game tonight...They didn't come out intimidated and sent a message that they were ready to play...The lefty was unconscious from beyond NBA range and they were able to take advantage of some lazy defensive play by the Vikings... After that, Humboldt started to take over with a 16-2 run to end the half...The Vikings didn't play too great in the first half though...Aside from Porter being in foul trouble, Crayton and Taylor both struggled to get anything to fall... Second half was a different story though...Humboldt came out of the locker room with a lot more intensity and a breakaway dunk by Crayton that almost tore the rim off the backboard seemed to take the wind out of their sails..If that didn't seal the deal, Taylor's crossover at the top of the key followed by a two-handed "and1" slam on about 3 Scotts Hill players did... Wade shot the ball well tonight which is a good sign for Viking fans...This team is MUCH better when he's contributing from behind the arc...He's been inconsistent this year but has played strong in the tournaments...Hopefully that will continue in the 'Boro.. Towards the end of the 4th, with Humboldt up 21 points, both teams entered their subs as Humboldt coasted to a 26 point victory..Scotts Hill was an average team...Not great, but not terrible either...They had some shooters, played with heart, and the point guard handled the ball well...In the end, it just wasn't enough as they were overmatched by the Vikings...
