The comment about you forgetting more than I know about basketball is funny...It really is /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I'm a Humboldt fan, all the way but I also try to be realistic...Buckner is the #30 player in the nation on Rivals...Go see if you can find Crayton or Taylor on that site...It aint happenin'... You MIGHT could make the argument that Taylor or Crayton have as much upside, but that could very well get you laughed off these boards as well... Now, in no way am I discrediting Taylor or Crayton's talent...They are both really good...Taylor will play college ball next year and Crayton is going to get some mid-major attention before it is over with but to compare them to a 5-star high-major talent in Buckner is well...FOOLISH...And that's putting it nicely... Here's the point though...We don't need Crayton or Taylor to be better than Buckner...We need Humboldt to be better than Manassas...All this talk about which individual player is better than the other is pointless..

My mistake...I was told they had a good amount of size and depth...That game should be pretty exciting because DC has some good guards as well, especially at the point..

To be completely honest, I think that the majority of people who are picking Manassas to lose aren't doing so because they believe they will lose, but rather because they want them to...Seems several of the fans of the same team I support are doing that...I try to be realistic and I know LC probably won't win in Memphis..However, I do think LC has a chance if the three's are falling, Avery has a big game, and there will probably have to be some luck involved as well...

Scary as this sounds, Manassas could probably play with Raleigh Egypt because of Buckner...They've already beaten Craigmont (#5 team in 3A AP Poll at the time)...Gotta keep in mind, Manassas is playing with a 2A classification enrollment this year...They'll be in 2A next year... Manassas tends to play to their competition from what I understand...Still doesn't mean their invincible...Shows lack of concentration and focus to me...Guess we will find out soon enough..

Good luck 2 DC tomorrow night adsmom...BTW sounds pretty tough...Hopefully that pressure defense will force a lot of turnovers and keep you guys out of the half court set with a team that's going to be considerably bigger...

Oh yeah...Great thing about this year's team is that our bigs are so much more athletic than anything we've had in the past...Can't just pack in the 2-3 zone against the Vikings anymore...

That guy did have a big game hitting a lot of first half threes for Grace, but McMasters gave us a lot of problems in the paint...At the time, we relyed WAY too heavily on penetration and offensive rebounds and having a 6'10 guy in the paint really disrupted the way we did things...This year, our offense is much more structured when we need it to be, and we are a much better shooting team...

I'd like to see him get there too...From what I understand he's not in very good health so I can't imagine him coaching too much longer...Then again, I believe Boykin is in a similar situation...Hopefully, he'll go out on top this year though /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I was not there and I can only comment based on what has been said on these boards by several people...If physical basketball is what they're looking for, they'll get all they want Monday..

Like I said, hopefully it was just a 1-game thing...Humboldt doesn't play dirty but they do tend to get a reaction out of other teams and their fans from time to time...When Humboldt gets those dunks, we pick up a lot of momentum and normally go on one of our patented runs...When that happens, the crowd gets VERY loud leaving the other team with three options...Be intimidated, get mad, or get determined...I've seen all 3 this year so it's really up to you guys...I just wouldn't want to give the Vikes any extra motivation by getting mad and acting on it...That's all I'm saying /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Welcome to CoachT...First of all, I'll make remarks about whatever I want...Get over it /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Secondly, people always seem to cry about officiating when they're on the losing end, especially when a lot of smack was being talked previous to the game and wasn't backed up...THAT'S common knowledge on here to anyone who's been around long enough to see some of the people that get on here with ridiculous, biased comments...If I had a nickel for everytime I've seen someone get on here and say "if the officiating would have been better, we would've won" or something to that effect, I'd be a rich man...It's all excuses in my opinion...
