Goodpasture.....I hate you, but unlike Mt. Pleasant, you are good and very much deserving of a state championship. I wish you the best of luck in Memphis against USJ and FCS, because we all know you won't have any trouble with that lower bracket.

Mt. Pleasant.....you are horrible. You play nobody, build up your record, and beat a mediocre team to move on to state. Sadly, since the rest of your bracket is horrible as well, you actually have a chance to make it to the final. No matter how good you and all these stupid Tennessean people think you are, I promise you will not leave Memphis with a championship.

OK, here's the low-down.....every team in the bottom bracket blows, and whoever gets so far as the championship will most likely be run-ruled by either Friendship Christian, Goodpasture, or USJ. It's sad the TSSAA had to set it up that way and deprive us of an exciting championship game.

Davidson Academy defeated Houston County 14-0 in the district final Thursday afternoon.

Davidson Academy (1) and Houston County (2) are the two teams from district 10A.

If i recall, I believe I remember your infallible TCA getting beat twice by defending champs Davidson Academy.

Phil, I think you are wrong. DA's bats are coming around, and come region finals, there will definitely not be a #4 starter on the mound. The top of Davidson's rotation can definitely handle Goodpasture, as Bryan Smith showed last year in both outings against them. I wouldn't be so quick to count Davidson out if I were you. Goodpasture, with all their hype, is still not as omnipotent as everyone makes them out to be. Davidson proved they can come together and produce in the clutch, and if Goodpasture stands in their way, then I hope they enjoy their spot as Region Runner-up for the second year in a row.

Baseball21, yes...Ryan Johnson (Jr.) is still at Davidson Academy.

Who do you think is most likely to pull it off in Region 5A?

All I know is that if they play like they did last year in substate against Davidson Academy, there is no way they are even getting out of their district.
