HRB in 20 years as an umpire I have never seen or heard of a top official asking on a public form how his game went. You and your crew know if you called a good game or not. Also what are you going to adjust to? If they say your strike zone is to big will you squeeze it in? What do you mean by adjust. If your not looking for support DONT ASK. UNREAL I have never cared what someone thinks of my game Except the other umpires on the field. I give 100% every pitch. that will never change no matter what the public thinks. Think next time before you post.

Sorry Drew Did not mean to break up you and VG while you were in your group hug. When you are done kissing each other and telling each other how good you are. Go back and look at the post following a JCM lost. This is the real world. I remember one time at The Rock some fans set off firecrackers, some broke into cars. And when some one posted on here about it, VG said Don't judge JCM because of that. And you should not come on here and start talking about that because it had nothing to do with football. At the first of the year it was the officials, Now it's the fans. each game you lost VG you have returned to the board with something bad to say. You should start with the man in the mirror.

If your scared don't go. What is up with all of this mess, We don't want to go to Memphis or JCM. Memphis is a big city sometime bad things happen in big city's. Tell me how many people were killed or hurt at football game this year in Memphis? The news would have been all over it. Oh by the way. Players at Carver are very worried where they are going to park all the Mobile homes that you will be driving to the game and they ask that you don't spit all over the stadium, Thank You.

Thanks for the advice, But all i Say is the truth. My skin is very thick, It got that way from 25 years of doing this stuff. All I want is for people to stop and think. Sometimes were going to miss some. Some will miss more than others. but until you are out there and the speed of the game is in high gear. You cant know what it is like. I can set in the stands and see a lot of things I think should be called. but like I said leave it to the guys on the field. They get 85 to 95% of the fouls in a game. Thats all you can ask. How about the QB 90% Passing, see what I mean

Well since the rules say you must be on the field 30 min before the game to do the administrative meeting. maybe you should call the TSSAA and tell them your Officials are not there and it 20 min to kick off. Also with someone like you opening the dressing room for them no wonder the leave fast. Anyway it's simple get on the field or close it tight. If you scared say your scared. Oh when I do independent contracting I DO get payed from when when I leave the house to when I get home. When your GOOD you can do that.

20 an hour Yea Right. More like 8 to 10 when you factor in 30 to 60 min drive to get to the field. Must be there 1 1/2 hours before the game. 2 1/2 game (if you lucky) Have to hang around 30 to 45 after the game to let the crazies go home then drive 30 to 60 min home. Look I love being paid to be around football. And yes I want the job. What burns me up is when people like yourself say "I don't the job", But I am going to BASH you on something that I am unwilling or unable to do. Then get mad when someone fires back. In the words of Jack Nicholson " I would like it if you simply said thank you and went on your way, or may I suggest you pick up a whistle and stand on that field and put yourself on the line every play of a game. Either way it doesn't make a darn to me what someone who is unwilling to do this job thinks. Before you criticize someone on the job they do make sure you can do it better. Oh by the way TSSAA has stopped many officials from calling any more games. Thats being fired. How accountable is that.

Lets see how well we're paid $75 per game. At least 30 min drive to get to field, sometimes 1hr30min. but well say 30 min. Have to be there at least 1 hour before the game starts.Games last 2 1/2 hr to 3hr. 30 to 45 min to get dressed and let the crazys get out , Then 30 min drive home. Total 5 1/2 to 6 hours at LEAST, 7 to 7 1/2 most of the time. Oh by the way all this driving was done at $3 a gallon. so lets see acording to you we make 20 dollars an hour that would be 120 to 140. I DONT THINK SO!!

How many people who post here are Refs. None, thats what I thought. Ya know High School rules state 20 min max at half. The other team is ready to go. it was not their senior night, they were there to play football. Did you not know you had 20 min to do Senior night. Your game administrator was told before the game you had 20 min at the half. Sounds to me like your gripe is with your school for not knowing the rules or wanting to abide them. Or should the refs bend them just for you? Because it was your senior night. All of you who think you can ref PLEASE call the TSSAA and ask how can I become a ref, And tell them, Hey I can call a great game from the 45 yard line 15 rows up. Imagine what I could do on the Field. Look forward to working with you perfect people.

I remember someone from HC posting about JCM, worst facilities ever, no room to go at half, press box about to fall in, score board not working but they never mention the PA guy. How was your locker room tonight? what about the press box? Did the score board go out? What about parking? Just a way of letting you know, If the PA guy was the only thing you were unhappy with, then count your blessings.

If you were an African American on the other team would you be offended. I would think this is bigger than football. and yes if he said it they would tell me he said it. We've been friends for 36 years. I don't blame JCM or Brighton, I just think when you step out and accuse a person of something this big. you better make sure YOU hear it. Not you son, your friend or anyone else. I trust my child also, but I'm am not naive enough to think my child would not stretch the truth a little. If he can't then maybe his mothers name is "MARY"

You should trust your son. It's just hard to believe that all night this umpire who is in the middle of everything said all this and was able to keep the Brighton players from hearing what he was saying. ALL NIGHT. Also 3 of them were on the field that night and I trust them to tell the truth about what happened, we talk about our games every Friday and we have never held anything back before. I don't think the man used a racial slur. Neither does the Brighton players or coaches. Only the JCM players who just lost a close game and had 270 yards worth of penalties called on them.
