  1. Butler, Daniel, Grimes, Chard, Gowen
  2. Right now, today . . . . Yes
  3. According to official rules, runners, paragraph 3, note A: "A ghost runner is only as fast as the runner forcing him."
  4. 1. They return all pitching from last years district runner-up team. 2. 2 of this years Seniors played for American Legion 2011 State Champion team, one earning tournament MVP. 3. 7 returning players were on the Dixie Youth State runner-up team. 4. Graduated 3 Seniors last year, one that will be hard to replace. 5. 6 also play football and have become a lot stronger/faster from that workout program. 6. 2, that do not play football, have been attending strength/conditioning along with camps & instruction. District preview: Collinwood will be better than last year(great coaching) Loretto will be down Perry did not play to their potential last year and will be better this year Summertown ????? Up or down, That's the big question
  5. I hope not, basketball is just a sprained ankle or broken finger waiting to happen. He needs to concentrate on baseball now, they are going to have a great team. Sports are played outside, I mean what is a foul anyway: when your touched or tackled?
  6. Have you tried Hardin County or Adamsville? I bet they would love to play Wayne County.
  7. I agree, I was just stating where they were lacking last year. I know most of them have gotten bigger and stronger since last year and hopefully worked on the area's I mentioned.
  8. Our pitchers were so hittable last year. Boston was the only one that could shut a team down, Austin at times. Drew & Clint need work on control/pitch location. Hayden needs work on mechanics and learn how to hold runners. Seth needs +15mph on the fastball Do you think Lucas will pitch any this year?
  9. I would say stupid kids but, knowing the situation, stupid, stupid parents.
  10. It wasn't a very good game. Wayne County's coaches decided to treat the game like a scrimmage after the 3rd/4th inning. The lineup was reshuffled (in ways that didn't make sense). Didn't see the PC game but there have been a couple things that have left me scratching my head this year. One being the constant saying "Sit on the fastball". Why not just say "Hey, we can't hit (or we are not going to swing at) a curve ball"? At this age/level, they are going to have to learn to pick up and hit the curve ball. The way most teams shift the OF against us, the curve ball is the perfect pitch to put in that big hole in RF. So far, we have relied on our strength (thanks to our football program) to succeed, but when strength/bad mechanics vs. a great pitcher, the pitcher will win, as we've seen several times this year. We really don't have anyone that knows enough about hitting to teach it correctly. As far as JV, there are some people out of position.
