  1. Whats going on in Brentwood? Are those girls on steriods or something..theyre amazing!! and pretty hot too!
  2. I think that there will be quite a good race at the that sectionals meet. I think several teams have run respectable times already in that area. LaVergne of course is looking good, McGavock ran an 8:23 already , Hunters Lane has broken 8:30 this year, and even Beech has been under 8:30 and they qualified last year with no problem . I havent seen Brentwood run a 4x800 this year , but they did do an 8:13 at regionals last year and they usually seem to do ok. Anyways, I don't think it will be a walk in the park for anyone to win. I think it should be a 5 or 6 team race. Im trying to drive down to Brentwood to watch the meet. The 4x800 should be quite a treat.
  3. I saw McGavock ran an 8:23 : at the Kenwood Classic and Hunters Lane ran an 8:30 . Talk about lighting up the track! Does anybody know anything about those teams? I haven't heard too much about either of them . LHSWrasslin', what are yall running this Saturday at the Tullahoma meet? By the way, Kelvin Hill is fast with a capital F (Fast)!!
  4. Hey lhswrasslin, The LaVergne 4x800 team proved to be extremely impressive at the classic. Was the team missing their two stallions (the 2 guys that run 1:58) due to prom? If so, LaVergne should be given the state crown right now and save everyone else the trouble!!! On the other hand, if the full "A team" was there do you know what the split times were? I hope I get to attend the regional meet at Brentwood to watch LaVergne, McGavock, and Hunters Lane duke it out for the regional 4x800 championship!! Any thoughts on the region race??!!
  5. From what I've seen, they are all right . They have some pretty good middle distance guys but are weak in field events and sprints . However, they have a guy named Reece "Rowdy" Doughty who can haul in the 200. rumor has it, he will do the triple jump too. Anybody know how their Scott Hartman Relays ended up?
  6. BHSFootball, do you know who bearden loses from their 4x800 relay team? how do they look in the other events? thanks & good luck at Snake Evans
  7. I didn't get to attend the meet myself , but I have a close friend at Overton who gave me all the juicy info . Apparently, LaVergne has some nasty mid-distance boys runners. He expects to see two of them below 2:00 in the open 800 and another to break 4:30 in the 1600 today . Also, Franklin High School is said to possess a future state medalist in the 400m. Brentwood had only a respectable showing in prelims where they were quite weak in the sprints and field events. Hillwood is wiping away all competetion in the sprints , however Centennial's relays are nothing less than awe inspriring . Thats all Ive heard about the meet. Can anyone help me out with more specific results?
  8. Hey Michael- how's mcminn county looking this season, and specifically your defending state champion 4x800 relay? did y'all just lose trey hurst and josh hicks?
  9. Hey Cole, those are some good times for y'all over at LaVergne. who do y'all have besides you, josh carroll, and austin hall? that is a pretty solid 3 right there, for sure. think you can repeat on your trip to states in the open this spring?
  10. Is Lavergne's 4x800 really as good as what's being said? They ran around an 8:20 last year i believe, and the claim of them being the future state champions would take a big jump even to be in the same race with the likes of a 7:55 or a 7:57 (1st and 2nd in last years state) much less win. Also, with a fourth place finish in last year's regional meet behind Kenwood (an 8:08 that loses two runners), Beech (an 8:08 that also loses 2 runners),and Brentwood (an 8:11 that lost only 1 runner). Has Lavergne really made that big of a jump in only a year? Someone let me know!
