  1. I didn't type "stink on the system". I typed "stink on the system". Maybe I should spell it "suuck." Message board Commies.
  2. Some days you get the bear. Some days the bear gets you. A "Not" joke. Great job Borat. lol I wouldn't doubt that Liles said that. And, good for him. Don't open your mouth if you can't take a good F U back! Don't you remember what it was like being 18? Remember folks, these are 14-18 year old young men. They don't come to Wal-Mart or the Jiffy Lube and harass you while you are working. Save the harassment for players who get paid to play. And the same goes for USJ fans. If a Gibbs player told a Bruin Dad where to stick it, good for him. Most people lose sight of the big picture. That is, using tools such as baseball to encourage education, teamwork and develop upstanding young men who are a benefit to society rather than a stink on the system. My hat is off to all players and coaches that have to put up with all the B.S. that can come from parents and fans. Honestly though, I haven't been on this site in over 3 years. Ain't nothing changed! People still bitchin about the other teams fans being classless and Dyer, Eubanks and the other West Tennessee coaches and their teams still making a good run at the Fling. Have some fun out there. This game is supposed to be fun d*mm*t. Crash Davis
  3. Looks like you ruffled a few feathers Guns...and got called stupid...very entertaining for an ol' TN boy over here on the East Coast...Glad to hear Brad and USJ are advancing to the Championship...he deserves a break every now and then...poor boy...If it weren't for bad luck, he'd have no luck at all. Wingman? What kind of mochine are you taking to the skies in these days? Ya'll keep a fella updated on the Fling, alright? Don't get too much West TN news over here in Norfolk.
  4. You have become so superstitious that you make Wade Boggs look normal.

    UGLY...17 errors combined...
  6. Get off your knees...That is my alltime favorite...some of you guys can really be sticks in the mud...I also liked the comment a coach made about the "plate being on roller skates".

  8. 45. You start dreaming up "rake modifications" that would keep you from herniating multiple lumbar discs. 46. You have a new found respect for art, but your medium is Marbet's Mound Clay, Mule Mix and Sure Dry. 47. Most of your personal lawn care equiptment is stored at your field. 48. Someone complements you on your improved upper body physique due to burn out sets with a 20 lb. dirt tamp. 49. You attend a professional baseball game to get ideas on how to improve your facilities. 50. You realize how rich you would be if you put forth the same effort and used the same imagination as you do for fund raising. 51. Your chiropractor reaps the rewards from "pop fly priority" practice. 52. You just don't fill out that uniform the way you used to. 53. You realize that you have become an encyclopedia of cliches. 54. Bill Marbet sends you a Christmas card. "Fungo Elbow" ain't no joke!
  9. Those guys are hot right now...they have made a great turn around since early in the season...probrably the favorite to win their 96.5 Classic this week...From what I have read, Wood and Stanfill are on fire...they have been getting tons of ink lately...should be an interesting week...
  10. gradfromthenest...yes, I have an OCS date coming up soon...thought incorporating the Articles of the Code of Conduct as my signature would be a good way to memorize them since I spend way too much time on the computer...already got the General Orders of a Sentry and the enlisted and officer rank structure stored in the brain...I think that everyone that has replied has some impressive abilities and should have a chance to play beyond High School...I have found that posting boards, such as this one, can serve as a great motivational tool for improvement in your weak areas...heck, even if someone has exaggerated a little on their abilities, it still motivates me to get to their level...in my case, push ups, sit ups, and 3 mile run for time...anyhow, these statistical categories are some that both college and professional scouts will look at when evaluating you as a player...keep in mind the academic and extracurricular aspect...that can sometimes save a college coach some scholarship $$...oh yeah, also try not to highlight the things that you aren't that good at...i.e. torn rotator cuff, slow 60 time...these are things that you can work on or have repaired...not something that you need to bring to a scouts attention...bulletsfrommygun did a great job of blowing himself up to a scout (even though he was just joking)...but, that is what your opinion of your abilities should look like...keep it positive!!...butler, I have seen you play, but Conrad threw that night...
  11. The same swing applies no matter where the location...inside or out...concentrate on your head position and timing...let the ball travel deeper (toward the catcher) and allow your chin to turn to track the path of the baseball...the inside pitch is easier to hit because you hit it out in front of you...get on a tee...set the ball where your impact position will be just behind your johnson...and make sure the tee is set where an outside pitch would cross the plate...use this drill to get the feel of it...then lower the tee to about your knees and concentrate on not collapsing in order to scoop the ball off of the tee...hit a low line drive...then try to go the other way in BP by letting the ball travel...just my 2 cents
  12. Sad but true in some cases...
  13. It is like...in a nutshell...long days...late nights...cleat chasers...morning headaches...no parent influence on playing time...what have you done for me lately?...take it as it comes...everyone is talented...how hard can you work for it?...do it all again tomorrow...and, oh yeah, some studying...
  14. Opinions are like buttholes...everybodys got one...here is mine...in all of its brown eyed splendor...Lexington has not exactly played a tough schedule so far...but, I beleive that their schedule is about to get a bit harder...we will soon see what the "Big Red" is made of...
  15. LOL..."Throwd his arm out"...I love comments like that...Who's fastball is not hittable if they don't spot it up??....anyone....Bueller....Bueller?....I believe that bullets was joking when he posted the 100MPH...anyways...just for sh**s and giggles, anyone else know a 14 year old with 3 quality pitches?...Sludge...Out...

    Dyer County

Dyer Co. 1...I need Coach Ozment to give me a call...7316144218...regarding bats...can't find his #...pass the message on if you would.
  18. Coach Mac at TCA? Look a little harder...His assistant Eric Quinn has to be at the top of my list for coaches under 30...this guy deserves to have his own program...and whoever lands him will be lucky...at least he has the class to look you in the eye and shake your hand after a game that TCA came out on the short end of...Ozment does a great job when he has something to work with...can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh**" (Sammy Fisher, 1995)...Eubanks is also right up there...Huntingdon plays with alot of heart...as for Messer...I can't beleive that crazy sucker made it through college alive...and I mean that in a good way...great guy...can't wait to see his team play this weekend...can't say that Humboldt's Greg Scott (another coach that won't shak'em up) is even close to being on my list...they have some good talent...but, from what I have seen, are poorly prepared...again, maybe a case where the assistant is better than the "man"...that is what the voices in my head tell me.
  19. Lexington is "good" at best...depending on who is on the mound...I admit, they have alot of speed and can hit a fastball...but, "Very good"...fool please
  20. 3-0 USJ going into the 6th...Latimer 2 run double...McPeake looked strong...JCS mounted a rally in the 6th with a 2 out walk followed by a Darby double (pi$$ rocket) to left...two more hits and a USJ E4 led to 3 JCS runs...USJ then tallied 4 in their half of the 6th...E4 JCS, Long single, Liles Intentional BB, Wallace 3 run double, Ross RBI single...Buckley pitched the 7th to close it out...good game...both teams look strong...advantage USJ because of a very deep pitching staff...I hear they have an eighth grader with a 82-85 MPH FB and a nasty hook...JCS's Fowler did a good job keeping the Bruin hitters off stride with his slow delivery and soft arsenal of off speed pitches...I will hang up and listen...bullets from my gun ...get to work...cowboy up...lol
  21. Nick Latimer- RHP- USJ He only throws 79-80, but he can hit a gnat in the #### with three different pitches.(FB,CB,CU) Colin McPeak- RHP- USJ 85-88 FB, and just wild enough to keep you from diggin' in. Landon Wood- RHP-INF- Lexington Good velocity, good stick, excellent work ethic. John Edward Stovall- INF- Trenton Good speed, good stick, and can hit the snot out of a 5 iron. Probrably sign as a golfer. Adam Darby- OF- JCS He can swing it. Brian Nellett- RHP/C- Huntingdon A mountain of a man. Good arm. Good stick.
  22. I think that Lexington should be the favorite...the field looks pretty soft...TCA is decent if they can keep from kicking it around...Bolivar needs lots of work...so, Lexington should be the odds on favorite...Who is in the upcoming 96.5 Big Red Classic?
