Your right because you have to put in more time than practice. Also I'm around basketball alot and one thing that I haven't seen is Warren Co. holding any tournaments. Seen younger teams on road but not older group unless its a high school event. Must get those guys on road or bringing the action to them. Kids can play against each other all they want but if you play better players you get better. FACT. Keeping them together is ok but really need to get the best on the road and keep the rest together. Have plenty of info and support on finding teams for kids to play on. All for the pioneers and all Tn schools. Will do my part to help any kid.Its a must to get those younger kids on that same path because your only as good as your feeder school. Can not wait to Middle school to start learning and the foundation must start when those kids are little. High school coaches must get involved when they are little not when they get to high school. One last note ....Those parents that don't know the game please stop coaching these kids. Lot want there kid to have star roles but you must learn to earn ! Girls and boys lost tonight against Shelbyville. They both played good ball but came up short.

Hey RD what about Clarke and Nowlin will they return to help those young players? Seen Nowlin over summer and was very impressive. He was playing the 3 and haven't had a chance to see him play that position at High school level. Clarke is very scrappy player and played well over summer also. Cedrick Williams is another kid that is a 6-8 centerfoward thats is young and upcoming.

Outside of being a great player this young man is a story that all players should want to know. The rules he sets for himself and being accountable for every missed shot. This guy wants to be perfect and he thrives on being just that. We all know you can't be perfect but you can get close and that's how this kid works. He has the sweetest jumper I've ever seen. Really impossible to block if he gets it above his head. put it this way if he pulls up on u 20 times he is expecting to hit all 20 in any position on the floor. Told his Dad he has D- 1 written all over him. His Dad say you think ? I know Mr. Jenkins ! The 2 summers he teamed up with Chase Dunn Livingston Academy, Craig Nowlin Riverdale, Devin Ramsey Livinston Academy and Joey Lee Riverdale on Murfreesboro Stars. Those guys was killing everything that moved and after that he went over to Tn. Tigers a team that was loaded from top to bottom. After this kid stepped on the floor on the big stage he was a instant star. Believe me this kid will play in the NBA. Bottom line he has what we say is ...IT... the kid will not go quietly and all the luck to you John and don't change one thing and remember the only one that's going to stop you from being the player you want to be is you. Your a great kid with a wonderful family and everybody has to have that support stem an your Dad has been that and more. Way to go Big John Jenkins. I was blessed to have coached this kid for a couple of summers. He would miss a shot and would act like the world was about to end /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" and I would say John we have only played 10 mins and you have 20 points of our teams 30 points. That didn't seem to help none because he wanted those other four shots he just missed more than the ones he had made. Its all how you look at things because if you make a bunch of small mistakes and you put them all together then you have one big problem. From me to you John the thing next will be the SEC and the talent level is going to be off the chart at time so this year is the year you complete yourself by saying DEFENSE is what going to help me stay on the floor and pave my way to the NBA. I think his trade mark is the fade away and the walk and skip after he burns the net. Drive over to Station Camp and see him for about $5, because after that the price of admission will go up ! What about the Warriors will they be able to compete with young players in line-up? What upper classmen do they have ? Seen couple of players over summer. Cedrick Williams Craig Nowlin and Janeal McDonald. Need more info on these guys. Does Blackman have any returning players ? Point guard Smith is returning.

Please why are you even asking about Warren County basketball. Let me tell you this if Warren County would play the best players they have walking the hallways they would compete. You guys think you can win with plug in players. Warren Co. lost there future star when they let Tylan Martin get away to Chatt. Baylor. Why would this happen unless the kid was unhappy . For one you do not and I mean you do not put your true point guard down in the paint and play him at center to make parents and players happy. You let those kids be themself and let them play. Try that .....and Coach wake up and stop listening to the parents and try and win games. Go down the hallways and talk to those kids that need to be playing and say hey look you come in and beat someone out of a spot its yours if you can keep it. Really hate to see Warren Co. keep loseing talented blood lines to surrunding counties. Stop the good ole boy system and get your program back on map.

One thing for sure and no questions siegel may have best talent in state and will win district. You guys talk about some players on here like they can play. Hammonds has best all around play and is loaded with talent. Some of these other guys yall have listed are just plug in players. What I mean is players you plug in your system to make it function. Key players need role players. Dig a little deeper guys because there are more players in this district that are key players and not plug ins. Need you to list players like this.......If you take Hammonds of his team who else would emerge. Think long and hard and really think.

Should be senior at Riverdale this upcoming year. Lot of buzz on this kid. Broke his leg a couple of years ago at MTSU camp. Seen him in Cookeville about two weeks ago and this kid can go!!

Lot of crying sounds like to me. Good team but not ready for the 15U teams and couldnt qualify in 14U so why travel to Koxville for another loss.

Let me share something with you about the Stars they will be a great team in time. They didnt get blasted in Kentucky. They won the Silver Division and the Tigers won the Gold. Tn. Travelers got blown out by Dayton Metro in first round and Stars beat Metro by 26 in finals. Yes they meet in Knoxville but they scheduled the Stars with a bunch of games like haveing to win six in a row to qualify. They went 5-1 and was dogged by the schedule of games in one day and then the Tn. Tavelers and Flight playing only 3 games to get in. Darn shame. Beat The Thunder by 20 in M'boro and they are in so what we all know what happen that morning in Knoxville. Matter of fact all weekend.

Once again the Stars was having a try out with new players and would beat the Celtics and Grizzles by double digits now.

The Stars was just trying some new players out when Celtics beat them but really no excuse we will see the next time they play. Grizzles finished 1st and Stars 2nd Celtics placed?

Doesn't really matter but the Stars may be the best team. Heard that they was holding a try out during that tournament. They wouldn't have lost to the Celtics but they shot maybe 35% from field and thats unheard of with this group. Also they had two key players missing. Grizzles are a good team but if you dont stop Drew your in for a long night. Scratch what I said about the best......The TN. Tigers played up and they are 15 and TN. Travelers wasn't even there so it really doesnt matter until we get those powerhouses in one gym.

It's going to be a great weekend of basketball in the Mid-State for sure. Riverdale has over 100 teams in the Boro every year. Lot of good teams will be there and should get a bang for your buck. Lot of great talent will be there and only thing missing would be college coaches. Heard the Ballerz are tough in every age group and want to see if the Celtics are as good or better in 15U - 17u. We will have a treat if East Tn., Middle Tn. and West Tn. powerhouses come together. Sizeing up who will be in state tournament huh ????????

Games are going to be played at DCA and MBA . South East Elite 8 is a team to watch and those M'Boro Stars are playing good ball also. We will see if they advance to Sunday to play again like they did in Sub-State. Who ever come out of this Tn. region will do the state proud in the nationals. Go S.E. and Stars do your thang!!!!!
